Stu Mostów Salamander Milk Stout

Stu Mostów Salamander Milk Stout

Bottle
Chocolate

Also known as Oatmeal Chocolate Milk Stout Nitro, and other variations. The one constant with the name variations is "Milk Stout"

Dodatek cukru mlecznego (laktozy) nadaje piwu więcej ciała i słodkości. Natomiast dodatek palonego jęczmienia, oprócz barwy, wprowadza swoją charakterystyczną goryczkę, która wraz z goryczką odchmielową równoważy smak i zachęca do kolejnego łyku. Nasycanie azotem, przy użyciu specjalnej technologii, nadaję kremową teksturę i piękną, drobnopęcherzykową pianę.

3.9 Black with a virtually non existent tan head, big malty chocolate aroma, meduim body, creamy smooth, chocolate. Decent
3.8 Aromat: ciemne słody, przypalona skórka od chleba i dużo mlecznej czekolady Wygląd: barwa czarna, nieprzejrzyste, piana kawowa, drobnobańkowa, średni lacing Smak: paloność, kwaśne razowe pieczywo, czekolada, sporo popiołowosci, raczej wytrawne, goryczka niska, lekko zalegająca Podniebienie: niskie nagazowanie, aksamitna faktura, pełne i pijalne
3.5 Milk stout chocolate, salamander. From Beer52. Full body with low carbonation. Silky sweet (maybe too sweet) and smooth. Lots of chocolate and a bit of liquorish and port in the taste.
3.9 Creamy tan head left a froth on a near black still body. Malt, coal & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, tingly on the front with a creamy back. Dark chocolate, lactose, malt, demerara & sweet berry tastes. Excellent!
3.1 Stu Mostar Salamander Milk Stout Chocolate 5.7% 29/11/20 Bottle from Beer 52 – as Salamander Milk Stout Chocolate. Milk chocolate is overwhelming in the nose – but there may be a hint of fruits there as well ? Pours a very dark reddish brown. At first there was no head at all, but after reading the “chilled beer pour hard” instruction on the label I managed to get a small beige foamy head, which lasted pretty well. Texture in the mouth is ery creamy, and taste if mainly milk chocolate. There is some red fruityness though – strawberries. Milk and fruits combine on the finish. Too much milk and not enough stout for my palate.
4.3 Slight smell, no head but amazingly milk chocolate/oaty. Would happily drink lots.
3.7 Strong taste. Very chocolaty and oaty, works really well.
3.5 [33cl bottle from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with next to no head; aroma of caramel and chocolate syrup; silky smooth in the mouth with richly roasted grains to start, then sweet caramel and chocolate; before a drier finish with bitter chocolate and oatmeal.
3.8 Jet black pour and no froth. Aroma of coffee malts and coffee liqueurs. Taste; decadent thickness - chocolate malts dominate and a lactose flavour on the palette. Very rich and decadent milk stout . Top notch 👌
3.5 Bottle, from Beer52. Deep caramel black no head and low condition.Solid sweet chocolate and fruity liquorice notes in the nose, full bodied in the mouth with a muted but persistent chocolate powder note and a gentle creamy sweetness, some slightly burnt bitter notes linger into the finish but again chocolate notes dominate.
3.5 330ml bottle from Beer52: no mention of Oatmeal in the name, but it must be the same beer as others have rated it from Beer52! Anyway my bottle has a BBD of 15th Sep 2021. I poured it into a Chimay chalice glass at home on 18th Nov 2020. Even though I poured it robustly it refused to produce a head, just a wispy nothing. It's black bodied, no argument there! The nose is all about 'Milk Chocolate', as is the taste. Viscous and pretty sweet, glad it was only a 330ml bottle, would have struggled with any more, enjoyed it though!
3.7 Bottled, 330ml from Beer52, Edinburgh. Black with tan head. There is a pleasing viscous pour to this which transfers to the palate. Rich chocolate notes from the off, quite milky, lactose, but also a little over sweet. Full and creamy throughout, chocolate digestives with a roasty, toasty hint. Very pleasant went very well with a Spaghetti Bolognaise.
3.5 33cl bottle from Beer52 thin creamy tan head. Clear almost black pour. A bit sweet. lots of chocolate. Very nice
3.4 Super smooth chocolate flavours, boozy with a hint of winter berry. Nitro? Pours like a coffee, minimal head.
3.3 330ml bottle from beer52. Poured black with thin head and then noticed on the bottle it stated to pour hard for nitro foam even though the bottle didn't have a widget. Poured hard from one glass to another and it did leave a small beige head which looked better but still doesn't last. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and lactose; very nice and everything you would expect. Taste is big on the chocolate and lactose as expected with a background of roasted malts. Its tasty without being amazing. The body is very thin even though it is supposed to have oats. I think this might be a poor batch. The high ratings don't reflect what I'm drinking. Elements of a good stout are here but something is not quite right.
4.3 Aromat: kakao, czekolada, mleczna czekolada, lody.
4.4 Aro. Smak Słodki czekoladowy gęste kremowe pyszne deserowe
4.0 Bottle, I have no clue where from! Maybe an Honest Brew freebie? Black and tan with a dodgy looking head and floating sediment. Can a bottle be nitro? No widget, clearly. Doesn’t behave like a nitre, quite flat. Nice dark chocolate and coffee aroma. Thick, milky mouthfeel, not a bad effort.
2.8 330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn) (7:4:5:2:10=2.8) Nice chocolate cakey aroma, some tobacco dryness. Black, tight tan head. Deadish palate, a little slick, not a fan. Blandish roasty taste, some chocolate, but a bit ashy. Lactose not working for me, which isn't too surprisable, it's a terrible ingredient most of the time. Blandish sweet milky chocolate cake finish. Not for me.
3.8 Bottle from Honest Brew. Black body with a tan head and some weird lumpy bits when pouring. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa powder and liquorice. Flavour of blueberry and milk chocolate. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. This is a tasty beer in poor condition. It’s thin and clumpy.
3.8 Bottle, early 2018. Sweet cocoa oatmeal, light milky, toasted grain, milk chocolate, sweetish with a moderate bitterness. Slick mouthfeel. Well tailored beer, very sessionable.
Aromat czekoladowo kawowy. W smaku słodycz, gorzka czekolada, kawa, kakao, goryczka w porzadku.
3.6 Piwo pite dawno, ocena w celu uzupełnienia listy.
3.6 Appearance is black, with a half-finger foamy light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, toasty dark malt, toffee, roast malt, chocolate fudge. Taste- smooth and chocolatey, dark chocolate, bitterness in the background, toffee, brownie, roast malt. Very smooth and slick mouthfeel, very chocolatey.
Alkohol dobrze ukryty.
3.9 Czarne, z beżową kremową pianą, ładny efekt kaskadowy. Zapach mleczno-czekoladowy, w smaku słodycz zrównoważona goryczką, aksamitna tekstura. Aromat i smak na 7,5, stąd wyższy overall.
3.8 Tap at Unorthodox. Surprisingly thin body, feeling somewhat watery. Fully roast centered though, pleasantly coffeeish, deep-roast, dark chocolate. Quite clean. I do not feel the lactose presence as it usually manifests itself but nevermind. Good one still, easy drinking, tasty.
