3.0 Pours light golden with a thick white foam. Toast and dry with a pleasant finish. Pairs well with sushi and sashimi
1.2 How does a company that make such good whiskey make such dreadful beer? Watery thin. Lacklustre.
3.6 (Draught) Served in a beautiful suntory glass, extremely cold and frosty. Advertised as the 'beer cappucino', this lager had a nice white, foamy persistant head but nothing like eg a Weizen head. Clear, pale yellow colour. Aroma of noble hop. Flavour had some sweet malt and cracker. No significant bitterness. Nice Japanese quaffer, could have kept goibg with a couple more.
2.6 A can bought in Shanghai. A basic malt lager with no real taste other than that which comes off lightly when cold.
2.8 On tap at The Public Izakaya, Singapore on 11-Apr-2018, served in a glass tanker. Clear golden colour with a one-finger white head. Aroma of grain. Light body and medium carbonation. Sweet and creamy tasting lager.
4.0 Body is full Pilsner of citrusy and bold malt taste Kaori
3.9 在🇯🇵当然要尝尝サントリー的这款各家便利店都有售的皮尔森咯 入口香气十足 一点也没感觉苦 大满足
2.7 350ml Can from a Family Mart store in Tokyo (¥142): This one was a fairly basic but somewhat drinkable offering from Suntory, it's not one that I'd go as far as to recommend anyone tries but it was fairly easy to drink lager with a solid malt taste & some subtle bitterness further on. There wasn't a whole lot to it really but it's not the worst Japanese lager I've tried either.
2.5 From the bottle in Japan. Good quality (industrial) beer, refreshing, easy to drink. However, I miss out some more intense flavors that would make it stand out.
1.8 Head is soapy. Aroma is spicy and floral. Taste is soapy. Bizarre for a ’premium’ lager.
2.6 Big can in a glass. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of pale malts, light floral hops, and light toast. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer.
2.7 Can. Normal lager. Clear yellowish on color. Strong on carbonation. low to middle on bitterness. light to mid on body. Not much on sweetness also. Drinkable
3.4 Keg in the lounge at Haneda airport - Tokyo. Pours clear gold with a fluffy, white head. Nice, simple aroma of biscuity malts. Light sweet flavour with further biscuity character, along with soft bitter straw, pale grain. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tidy finish, more dry, pale biscuits, mellow hop presence. No issues here.
2.0 0.44ml from tap at Musashi-Kosugi (Tokyo). Just a lager, drinkable but it doesn’t have anything in particular
3.3 On tap at Bistro Bingo. Clear yellow-gold pour, two finger white head. Simple corn, yeast and lemon aroma. Very smooth malt taste. Some citrus aftertaste and finishes utterly smooth.
2.5 Puszka 0,33 przywieziona z Japonii. Kolor ciemnozłoty, piany brak, aromat nijaki. Typo eurolager (choć spoza euro) niczym się nie wyróżniający, choć też nie jakiś tragiczny.
2.9 On tap at restaurant in Canberra. Slight hop nose. Amber beer with creamy white head. High carbonation. Tangy hop taste, bitter finish. Standard Asian lager. Looks good though.
2.7 Can - Light grains and some honey. Clear gold with a rich white head. Bitter up front with a touch of grain and apple. Nose is ok but tastes a bit harsh.
3.0 Not interested in clocking up ticks, promised myself I’d only rate the really good ones. However, since they’re so widely available in Taipei, and since I actually worked in Japan for five years, I’ll rate this one just for fun. Two small cans from Wellcome supermarket poured into a pint glass for the full effect. Aroma: fresh grass, quite nice actually. Appearance: clear amber, very little head, noticable rising bubbles. Light-bodied, rather thin, lively carbonation, very abrupt bitter finish. Taste: a medium degree of bitterness. For a macro out of a can, this is not the worst by any means. Drinkable.
2.4 Bottle in Kyoto. Pours clear pale yellow. Thin and sweet. No depth of flavour. Dry-ish finish.
3.1 F: big, white, stable. C: light pale gold, clear. A: malt, grainy, caramel, hay, grassy. T: very malty, grainy, caramel, bread, hint of grassy, medium body, good carbonation, commercial but quite reach rich taste for that, not bad, 35cl can from Tagawa Vleurgat shop in Brussels.
3.1 Aroma is butter and peas, some herbs and noble hops. Taste is some herbal malts and tart dryness. Medium finish of more of everything. Ok.
2.4 Can. Hazy golden color with small head. Aroma is sweet grains, some hops. Taste is sweet grains, some hops as well. High carbonation. Ok.
2.8 500ml can BB 12/2016 Fruity aroma. Pale straw color with OK head/lacing. Mild bitterness to start with then a sweet malty finish but thin otherwise. OK-ish.
3.4 On tap at a Japanese restaurant (ramen noodles and grilled skewers ) in Hong Kong. Served with branded glass (the glass was chilled). Golden clolor with a white head (which disappeared very soon). Taste fresh with favour of malt and bread. Easy to drink, no bitterness if finish the drink in around 20 mins (when it is not chilled bitterness favour comes out). Really good accompany with Japnanese food.
1.9 0.33 can from somwhere in Tokyo. Appearance is the usual pale, clear and big head. This has also some delicate hops, but it is mainly sweetish. Might work well if cooled and drank in a hot and humid climate.
2.5 Tap at Delta Sky Lounge out of a robo machine in Norita. Bright golden pour with a pure white head. Sweet grains. Pretty good palate - slick with some density. Far better than BMC back home.
2.3 On tap at Ho Lee Fook. In branded glass. Pours yellow clear with a white head. Only slightly sweet at end. Not bad at all!
2.9 Bottle. Clear, golden, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, & bitter finish.
2.7 Pours a pale, clear, gold with a white head that lasts longer than expected but dissipates to a thin ring without too much fuss. Clean pilsner malt aromas, accented by a faint spicy hop note. Flavours are light and of pilsner malt. There’s a carbonic acidity in the late palate and a bitter finish. Light body and a touch of astringency.
