Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that’s just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. Toss your doubts away, toss one back and enjoy!

2.8Can (16 oz). Pours gold. Sweet malt with grass notes. Some subtle honey notes and a little bitterness in the finish.
3.5Sample at WOBFest 2016. Some peppery spice nicely offset by soft fruit and honey flavor. Well balanced saison.
3.8Wow they did a very good farmhouse here. Has that prickly, lively body with a hint of hay, bread and apples, finished semi dry with some candied apples and hops. Very smart.
3.7Sample from can. Poured golden, white head. Aroma was fruits, spices. Taste was peppery, spices, slightly sweet.
4.0Draft @ Mall of America. Nice aroma, a little juicy fruit and bubble gum. Amber color, with a quickly dissipating head. Nice fruity flavor, balanced with a nice bitterness. Med bodied. A very nice saison.
3.4Tap @ Mikkeller Bar Aarhus. Pours clear yellow with a medium white head.
Aromas of sweet esters, yeasty, citrus, floral.
Taste is classic saison yeasty, lots of floral notes, sweet esters, wheaty sweetness.
3.2Can: Poured a golden with white head. Aroma is soapy Belgian esters. Belgian yeast and soap. Grain.
3.0Guest tap at Moxee. More Belgian ale than saison. Spiced and fruity. Ok. Serving: Tap
3.3Solid, tasty saison with fruity notes and some spice popping through, too. The yeast effects are more restrained than I would like in a saison, but it’s still enjoyable. (on tap at Surly brewery)
3.7Good canned saison. Well balanced spices and Belgian yeast. Slightly fruity. Very drinkable.
3.916oz can to tulip. Pours clear gold, short white head. Aroma of sweet bread, banana and exotic spices. Taste of same with farmhouse yeast notes and lemon grass. Fruity. Spicy. Bitter dry finish. Saison.
3.3On tap at the brewery. Poured golden, clear with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast and flowers combined with some fruit and malts. Taste is quite Belgian like, fruity and spicy. Nice beer, quite enjoyable and easy to drink.
3.6Pours slightly hazy orange with a tiny off white head. Aroma is orange and super spicy yeast with some minerality. Flavour is more yeasty citrus. Finish is slightly bitter but thick. Super great.
3.4can poured into a snifter..hazy yellow with a fluffy white head..aroma of bread,funk,brett,spices..tastes of lemon,grass,funk,pepper,sage..dry..clean
finish..solid.
3.5Can. Cloudy copper. Sweet, like honey at first, than rounds out to dry. Hints of banana. Not my kind of style otherwise itd probably be closer to high 3s. Thx Malster85
4.0Straight down the middle fastball Belgian style ale. Not sure how they call it a saison as well as the Belgian style is overwhelming. Well made, crisp/fresh feel, and exactly what a Belgian lover would want.
3.7Slightly sweet aroma, with hints of wheat and pepper. Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Crisp malt flavors of biscuit pair up nicely with the pepper esters from the yeast. The finish is very dry, with a bit of herbal hop notes. Very light bodied and easy drinking.
3.8Can. Musty yeast, light white pepper, malt, and hay aroma. Golden yellow with off white head. Mildly sweet orange/peach, yeast, malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. A very pleasant saison.
3.4Can thanks to Tim. Pours a clear orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong english yeast and black pepper. Medium mouth, yeast, honey, pepper, good.
3.1Pours clear honey-amber with a nice but effervescent buff head. Sharp, malty aroma has fruity and subtle hoppy underpinnings. Crisp, malty flavor teases with hoppy and apple undertones. not spectacular but enjoyable and thirst-quenching. Smooth mouthfeel has fairly firm body, if not much fizz. Don’t be cynical, try this ale!
3.7Can:
Pours golden-amber with a foamy white head.
Aroma is sweet...nectary fruit, yeast, banana.
Flavour is sweet, fruity, bright and clean feeling.....slightly spicy yeast tones.
Really tasty.
3.8Can. Pretty solid beer. I really don’t feel like typing right now. So................. there.
3.716oz can. Hazy orange yellow color with minimal white head. Citrus barley yeast grass aroma. Medium carbonated body. Pepper banana yeast flavor. Nice summer beer with some kick.
4.0Can: pours light orange with a big foamy white head, aroma of banana, yeast, light sweetness and bitterness with some spices in the finish, light bodied with average amount of carbonation. This is a really good saison.
3.516oz can poured into a Belgian tulip. The aroma is floral with bread notes, apricot and peach notes, as well as a peppery and woody spice and a bit of a muffin dough. The hue is a clear, effervescent yellow-brown with a white, thin sudsy head that has ok retention and very little lace. The taste is a medium bitter and sweet (perhaps a touch more bitter than sweet), with a light sour touch. The texture is slick and waxy, but on the thin side, with a light fuzz and a medium light body that has notes of dough, underripe stone fruit, bitter citrus, and a touch of a peppery spice that strengthens at the finish which is crisp, with a pepper zip, and is dry and somewhat astringent and a bit wooy. The aftertaste is moderate with a burnt bread crust quality, dough, and pepper, which mellows, but lingers.
3.4From can into glass. Golden honey color with white head that dissapated quickly. Fruity, floral, spicy, and yeasty aroma and taste. Finishes rich and sweet with a hint of honey. A good beer
3.9Poured from the tall boy can, an orangy looking cloudy glass of beer. Before I looked at the commercial description on here I thought it tasted very European. If there was such a thing as rate beer in the 90’s when I was in Europe I’d have hundreds more ratings, now I just don’t remember them all. This beer would have been something enjoyed perhaps on a park bench, admiring girls walking by with arm pit hair, smelling of strong perfume, talking broken english, and I loved every minute of it. Thanks for the memories.
3.1Pours gold with a large puffy white head. Aromas of cloves and pepper. Taste is semi dry and lightly bitter. Flavors of spices, Belgian yeast esters, some honey. Meh. Pretty standard middle of the road saison. Wouldn’t drink again.
3.2Can. Golden orange hazy with head and lace. OVerripe orange and some peppery pine needle aroma. Apricot orange marmalade peach honey swetness that lingers with mild spicy pepper orange bitterness. Medium body. Very very meh.
