Svaneke Choko Stout

Svaneke Choko Stout

4.1 Sort uklar skum hvid Choklade mørk citrus Bitter lidt. Sød meget Vandede blød @home
3.5 Excellence stout. Chocolate, vanilla, malt and a well balanced sweet/ bitterness.
3.3 Lots of chocolate, vanilla and coffee in the nose. Coffee and chocolate dominates the taste and vanilla comes in in the aftertaste to give it a sweeter finish.
3.3 Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Clear aroma of chocolate, malt, vanilla and coffee, with subtle roasty notes. Bitter flavor of roast and hops, enhanced by sweetish notes of caramel malt and coffee. Chocolate and vanilla in the aftertaste. Flavourful, but the body is thin-to-medium. Okay but not really extraordinary.
3.2 Clear, nearly black. Thick. creamy, offwhite head. Heavy milk choc aroma. flavour has milk chocolate and coffee, smoe fruity sweetness.Short, bitter finish.
3.2 Bottle at beer festival. Poured a clear dark brown with little head to speak of.Smells of after eight and light chocolate reminiscent of a good dessert or coca cola. Also cocoa butter. Light on the bubbles. OK
3.5 Pours a black body with a small beige head of decent lifetime, that sticks to the glass. The aroma is very strong and is dominated by a massive wall of sweet and sugary chocolate sauce and equally sweet notes of vanilla. It’s a nice aroma, but the chocolate is so overdone that it feels a bit artificial. The Chocolate sauce is the main element in the strong flavor as well, together with vanilla, caramel (the sweet Smørbukk type) and sugary ice coffee (like the refrigerated ones from Tine) in the back. The chocolate doesn’t feel very well integrated in the beer, it’s almost like a bucked of chocolate sauce has been thrown into the fermentor right before the bottling. The taste is light sweet and long chocolatey finish is light bitter and malty dry. Mid-bodied, smooth texture with a moderate carbonation. A nice one if you’re not afraid of chocolate. And I love chocolate. [33 cl bottle, enjoyed 3 months before BB date, from Spar Lønstrup, Jylland, Denmark]
3.6 Lækker eftersmag på en undergærer øl. Helt fænomenal duft, farve og skum. Lækker øl!
3.2 The smell is sweet of chocolate and coffee.. Pours black with a beige lasting head. The taste is like milk chocolate, mocha and coffee. It taste like a cappuccino with chocolate sirup.
4.0 Bottle at Sås & Krås. It pounds you with heavy milk-chocolate with some cacao, coffee and a slight sweetness. Really good!
3.5 stor duft af kakao kommer frem Smag: en smule tør. meget kakao. ristet malt kaffe.
3.4 Noire d’encre, col brun cremeux.
3.3 33 cl, flaske, 5,7 % ABV, købt i SuperBest i Rotunden i Hellerup, 16. januar 2014.
3.1 33cl, as Svaneke Choko Stout, exclusive Danish brew, with chocolate, from Voldby Købmandsgaard Hammel, not complex sweet Stout, malty/roasted and slightly sweet, yet not too heavy, balanced, hazy, small head, nice brew
2.8 Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Opaque pitch black color, very small tan head. Aroma has an incredible amount of chocolate, vanilla and also some "hopjesvla". Taste is about the same: an incredible amount of chocolate, vanilla and some hopjesvla. A bit watery texture, but a very strong flavor. Not my favorite though.
3.9 Bottle @ joes thx to joes. Black colour with a minimal sized, light brown head. Smells creme brulee, brown sugar, vanilla, sweet, lots of chocolate, ’bonbon’.. Fucking lovely smell. Tastes sweet, brown sugar, creme brulee, roasty, chocolate, ’bonbon’. If this beer had 10% abv it would be amazing. Now it’s a bit too watery for me. Still a nice taste and smell though.
3.6 Bottle @ hone. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma and taste is chocolate with hints of vanilla.
3.0 Bottle at Sosialen, july 26th 2013. Black body, fluffy light brown head. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate, with licorice, marzipan, nuts. Taste is lighter in chocolate, with sweet caramel and dusty hops, pretty sweet. This is a dessert in itself. light roasted finish with, you guessed it, more chocolate.
2.9 Bottle 0,5l. Pours a dark brown colour. Aroma of strong caramel and chocolate. Same for taste. too much for my taste. sickening after a while. Unbalanced.
3.2 Very dark, almost black beer with big beige head. Very intensive aroma of dark chocolate and sherry notes. Fantastic! Taste is worse, only sherry without my favourite roasted malts. On the finish appears ashy notes. Too sweet, Too watery, not enough roasted. Best sides of the beer is aroma and appearance , rest is rather poor.
3.7 Bottle at Bishops Arms, Sundbyberg. Deep brown with a medium tan head. A lot of chocolate in the aroma, also some cocoa and roasted malt. Similar taste but not as much chocolate. Rather thin mouthfeel. Not balanced but interesting.
4.4 Bottled. Very impressive aroma - when i finished the bottle, about two hours i still feel aroma on my room. Incredible..! Good looking and very taste. This beer is one of the greatest discoveries for my this year.
3.9 Bottle. Pours opaque black with tiny light brown head. Aroma is heavy caramel, sweet pipe tobacco, chocolate, vanilla, coconut/licorice candy (Danish:lakridskonfekt). Taste is heavy sweet and faint acidic. Body is light oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and sweet with notes that follow the aroma. Excellent and surprising!
3.3 aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and caramel, clear black color, wit a fast dissapering head. light sweetness, light bitterness, taste. light bodied, with a thin texture, average carbonation.
3.6 I like this one better than the standard stout from them. Pour is dark, nose is big chocolate, coffee and toffee. The taste is high sweet, low bitter. The texture is soft, smooth. Body is light and the finish is long. Not bad.
3.4 (Bottle). Lovely aromas of chocolate, caramel and mocca. Taste of chocolate, caramell and mocca, which unfortunately takes over the flavor too much. Body is also a little thin.
3.1 Strong caramel and chocolate nose. Pale brown fast disappearing head. Dark brown reddish color. Caramel and chocolate and malt in the taste. Also some bitterness. Mild hops. Also some coffee. Essence. More like an Easter beer.
3.2 Bottle. Pours almost black with a slim tan head. Aroma has distinct chocolate and malt notes. Taste is of chocolate, lightly roasted malt and sugar. Aftertaste is of bitter chocolate. Body is thin. Well, it’s not bad, but it’s not especially fantastic either. Above average, but without being memorable.
