Svaneke Stout

Svaneke Stout

3.5 Aroma; mild scents of sweetest mocca coffee, roasted malts, malted candies, imagination of a meadow behind. Look; black body, ruby edge, beige head. Taste; mocca coffee, roasted malts, dark syrup, malted candies, faint peat, sweet tarish liquorice - leading to a soft malty roasted sweet finish, hops just around enough to make a juicy touch to it. Feel; soft n easy. Overall; uncomplicated comfortable! [50cl.btl 5.7%abv BB020916 B@Kvickly Middelfart]
3.1 Bottle 0,5. Pours black with large beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, licorice. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, wood, dark chocolate. Medium body and soft carbonation.
2.6 Flaske. Svart farge. Moderat karbonert mwd tynn skumtopp Smaker mørk brent malt og lakris samt litt blyant. Denne er for lett of vannete.
2.7 Sweet licorice & brown sugar. Black with long lasting light brown head. Medium sour & light dry. Light body, slick texture & average carbonation.
3.0 Black and full-bodied. Aroma has roasted malt and grassy hops. Light and rounded flavour of roasted malt, and a lightly sweet and moderately bitter taste. Overall, just above average for a stout. The taste is simply too light and lacks character.
3.5 Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Black with a nice brown head. Medium-high sweetness and light-medium bitterness. Soft carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. This bottle has been stored for 3 years in the basement.
3.8 Pours black and clear with beige foam. Good retention. Nose liquorice, toffee and roasted bread. Taste is well balanced, medium bitterness. Burnt bread, toffee, malt, some chocolate and dark fruit. Good glass
Czarne, nieprzejrzyste, niestety pozbawione piany. Paloność i karmelowa słodycz tu dominują. Czuć też czekoladę i kawę.
3.7 Very nice stout from Svaneke. The color is cloudy black with tiny brown head. Aroma is roasty and dark chocolate, toffee. Taste has roasty flauvour and it ends with bitter coffee like finish. Well balanced and easy to drink.
2.3 The foam is nice, light brown and stable. Its aroma is typical of a stout and smells of malt, a little coffee and some fruit that is hard indefinable. However, I feel that it is soft fruit. The taste is obviously coffee, some licorice and a lot of hard roasted malt. There is not much hops and the aftertaste is comfortable and dry. It may seem a bit thin because it does not have a usual stouts fatty richness. A light stout with a relatively large taste.
3.2 (50 cl bottle from the bornholmskevarer.dk outlet at Statoil Allinge; BBD: March 27th 2016) Poured into a burgundy glass revealing a black body with one finger, tan head that fades into film leaving beautiful lace. Some retention. Aroma has notes of licorice and roasted malt. Watery texture, light to medium body, soft carbonation and an ascerbic finish. Flavour is dry, roasted and somewhat ascerbic. Nice aroma but the taste lets it down somewhat.
3.7 Pours dark brown, medium head and good lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate. Sweet, roasty taste. Smooth texture. Sweety roasty bitter finish. 2015.Pours dark brown, medium head and some lacing. Weak aroma of cereal sugar syrup and honey. Some roasty notes appeear in taste. Beer is smooth but also watery. Some roasty bitter finish. To forget.
3.1 Copenhagen 6/1 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Pours almost black with beige head which gradually settles. Intense aroma. Sweetish with some licorice and coffee. Low carbonation. Taste is rather sweet. Notes of coffee and a little bitterness in aftertaste. Decent stout.
3.2 Bottle 50cl. Black with a brown head. Coffee and chocolate are the most dominant aromas. Actually the taste is great, following the aromas, but it has a rather thin body. Good if you want to drink more of it (only 5,7% alc/vol) but to go to a higer level, more malt is required. Medium length
3.6 A black stout with high, light brown, creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, liqourice. Taste is bitter.
4.1 5o cl. 5,7 %.
3.0 Bottle at home. Poured a clear dark brown with a high but short lived tan head. Smells of roasted malt, coffee and wood smoke. Tasted fairly bitter, dry and a bit light on the fullness. Good on the bubbles. Ok
3.5 Bottle, 50cl. Pours dark with a red hue in its colour and a creamy, stable one-finger thick beige head. Aroma is centred around coffee and light milk chocolate. Dry mineral water; roasted, smoked malt and some weak fruity notes if you concentrate. Mild coffee-chocolate theme again. Sweet, yet moderate and soft bitterness. Liquorice near the finish. Medium body. Won’t win any awards for its sophistication , but very enjoyable and easy drinkable. Sure a delight.
3.0 Bottle @ Bornholm: Appearance: dark brown with average off-white head with a bit of lacing. Aroma/taste: caramel, dark fruits, hint of coffee, chocolate and herbs/flowers. Palate: medium carbonation, light to medium body with medium sweetness, some burnt dryness and a slightly oily texture Overall: decent but mild stout
3.4 Mørk brun med medium skum. Aroma av mild kaffe og sjokolade. Smaken er samme. Medium/tynn konsistens
3.3 Black with beige head. Coffee aroma, roasted malt and caramel. Roasted, malty flavour, sweetish with discrete bitterness. Dry finish, quite drinkable.
3.2 Dark brown to grey/black. Some tan head. Roasted, close to burnt, malt nose. Quite mild flavour. Coffee, some chocolate, roasted malt, but again, quite mild. Bitter, with a soft, sweet ending. Thin to medium body, low carbonation. Some dryness. Decent.
3.4 Very impressive stout. Black colour with beige head. Enjoyable and easy but in very good way
3.4 Bottle, 500ml, from Torvehallerne, Copenhagen. Dark black colour with a large brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and sweet citrus. Flavour is roasted malt, a little coffee bitterness, some chocolate malt, liquorice. A little thin in the mouth. Fairly dry. High carbonation. Pleasant and drinkable but too much carbonation.
3.4 Bottle split with Sarah at the flat in Copenhagen. Clearish dark brown pour with loose light tan head. Aroma is nice chalky mineral, dry roast and fig jam fruits. Flavour leads with dark fruits, figs and dates and raisin. Then smooth roasted barley and some dark choc. Lingering dark choc in the finish. Palate is nice and smooth with moderate high carbonation. Some rustic earthy edges to the flavour.
3.4 Bottle. Completely black pour with creamy brown head. Aroma has lots of sweet liquorice. Taste is not as powerful. Sweet malt and medium bitterness . Low carbonation.
3.7 Very nice taste, with a hint of chocolate. Completely black, with a light brown foam, but the taste is lighter than you are led to believe.
3.3 Very decent, but not very extraordinary stout. There's a lack of bitterness to it, and a bunch of flavor...although reasonable for the alcohol percentage. Drinkable, light and some what sweet. - with thirst, Niklas
