Sweetwater Georgia Brown

Sweetwater Georgia Brown

The malt bill gives a subtle nutty & toasty flavors and the chocolate malt provides a rich cocoa flavor with aromas that range from roasted coffee to chocolate-covered dark fruits. The hops used provides excellent bitterness in relation to the chocolate notes of the malt. The flavor and aroma provide clean floral, fruity and herbal notes. A light dose of hops brings balance to all.

3.6 Had a million times. First time at the brewery. Good American brown. Some chocolate, and a little nutty, with an American hop design.
2.8 Can - pours a clear but dark brown with a hint of red and a medium very light tan head. The aroma is roasted nuts, toasted wheat, leather, molasses and fresh cut oak. My taste buds picked up roasted malts, cardboard, sawdust and a hint of hop. Disappointing but not awful
2.6 Pours dark brown with a fine tan head. Nose is weak and brown sugar. Flavor is more rich at first than anticipated with a bit of brown sugar, raisins, and bread, but it fades to a tasteless finish in a big hurry. The definition of mediocre.
3.6 Bottle - from sampler pack. Dark brown and a bit translucent. Smell is of malt and roastiness. Good. Nice mildly roasty flavor with some maltiness. A bit overcarbonated.

2.8 Decent brown ale part of a sampler pack. Deep brown color with a slight ruby hue. Sufficient dark tan head with good lacing left around the glass. Nice full of sweet malts, caramel, chocolate and light hops. More of the hops show through in the flavors, but the chocolate and sweet maltiness dominate. More caramel, chocolate, bread and yeasty notes show in the flavors as well.
