Sweetwater IPA

Sweetwater IPA

This mammoth IPA is defined by generous quantities of premium hops and balanced with a premium selection of English malt. Traditionally unfiltered IPA’s lead to the slight haze appearance. An extensive dry-hopping process contributes to its very intense floral hop aroma. The IPA is unfiltered and as always, unpasteurized to leave all the natural flavors intact. If you’re at the brewery you’ll be able to guess what style of beer every brewer has in his hand. THE BEER YOU’VE BEEN TRAINING FOR!

3.2 Pours slightly hazy orange with small head. Malt, grass, some citrus, caramel. Medium body and average carbonation.
3.6 Clear copper color. Citrus aroma. Well balanced zesty bitterness and sweetness. Juicy and refreshing beer.
2.9 Compared to the delicious extra pale ale (420), this is more sour and even less sweet. Still juicy but not as easily enjoyed.
3.7 35.5cl fles. Tweeschijn oranje kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is citrus en mango. Smaak is zoet, grapefruit, mango en gras. Medium body en veel koolzuur.
3.2 Bernsteinfarbe leicht trüb Mittelporiger Schaum unstabil Tropische Früchte im Geruch Geschmack. Alkoholisch, bitter nach Grapefruit spritzig
3.3 Dark amber with little rimming white head Aroma is dank hoppy Flava is oily dank hoppy Feels light to medium with zingy fizz Finishes mildly bitter
3.4 Clear copper pour, with a small white head. Aroma of candied citrus rind, fresh zest, light brown sugar and sweet cereals. Mouthfeel is full, carb is full. Finish is medium bitter, resinous and semi sweet, slightly bready with a zesty end.
3.6 Twelve ounce can. A little thicker IPA with a nice nose, a little unique, a little wild, definitely a signature beer for the Sweetwater Brewery. A very nice nose and pours a very dark gold with the head mostly dissipating while the lacing lasts. The kind of beer that makes you think of taking a road trip to their brewery.
3.6 LCBO can expiry date January 1, 2021. Pours a fairly clear, slightly hazy darker than golden amber coloured with a puffy white head. Aroma has hints of pine, lemon, pale tropical fruits.Tastes moderately hoppy with bitter and citrus, medium to full body, fruit is a bit sweet apple and tropical. Having this right after a Bellwoods Jutsu it's not the most exciting and I wonder if this was canned five months ago. But it's pretty solid.
3.7 Just a sip. Malty IPA. Very nice perfume, to be tested again ! (Backlog Oct 2017)
3.8 Can tapped, enjoyed at home. Had this on tap many times, finally rating it. Pours a somewhat hazy dark gold, somewhat towards amber, little head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel, grassy and herbal hops, a bit of pine. Medium body. Flavour is sweet, nice clean malt base with a lovely caramel touch. Really lovely malt base. Medium bitterness, one gets a nice bitter kick at the first sip. Hops is balanced nicely with the malt, not taking over at all resulting in a classic English IPA profile. Grassy, herbal, smooth orange and citrus notes and a good restrained pine kick. My local pub here have this as a regular IPA on tap and it is indeed perfect as a go-to IPA when you're in the mood for a simple 'comfort beer'. A really nice IPA.
3.7 Deep orange gold with pillowy white head. Aroma of citrus pine and orange peel. Tasty refreshing burst of fruit. Melon, citrus, lemon zest, grapefruit. Sticky sweet medium body. Refreshing and zesty IPA. Notched the glass with lacing intricately.
3.3 Pours copper hazy colour with off whitish head that leaves ring of lacing behind and sticks around. Floral aroma, very weak one. Medium soapy body with nice carbonation. Well balanced taste of hops, very natural taste to it. Nice bitter finish that leaves lingering in your mouth.
3.6 First from this brewery, pouring a clean amber colour with a big off-white, warm cap, good retention and creamy-foamy lacing. Sweet nose at first, but the grassiness comes out with time. So, hoppy over the caramel malt base. Kind of berry notes at first pour. The taste is mildly hoppy, but nothing too crazy. Somewhat dry, but again - not too the max. The base is almost more cereal grains. Not a bad IPA, but more old school, without being a hopbomb.
3.8 Bottle from Mitra in Gorinchem, The Netherlands. The beer is hazy orange/amber colored with a nice stable white foam. Carbonation is very good. The aroma is malts, caramel, grains, grass, citrus, flowers and a hint of spices. The taste is medium bodied and with notes of caramel, grains. It goes to bitterness with fresh hops, citrus and grapefruit. The finish is bitter, dry and refreshing.
3.2 Decent IPA beer. Fruity flavors with a agreeable finish. It is ok but I was not too impressed with this one. Not bad!
3.5 473 ml can from the St Jovite SAQ. Pours a cloudy orange colour with modest-sized cream-coloured head. Aroma is flowers, grains, citrus and light caramel. Flavour is lively floral hops with some grapefruit, sweetish caramel and grains. Mellow bitterness in finish. Nice.
2.5 Bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with a large eggshell head and excellent retention. Very good lacing. Dominant floral hops aroma. Surprise, another bitter IPA with a slight citrus finish. Nothing distinct or interesting. Tick.
3.6 12 oz can. Light citrus smell. Amber in color with a touch of haze. Tastes of bitter grapefruit with a fleeting splash of caramel malts, a bit of pine. Hoppy and bitter. Finish with a gradually increasing then fading bitterness. A solid hop bomb of a bitter west coast style IPA.
3.8 35,5 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Wijk bij Duurstede. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Citrus aroma with some malt backing. Layered bitter taste with a long lingering hopbitter finish. A very solid American IPA.
3.3 355ml bottle at SOT bar & burger in Hammerfest. A frothy white head to a close-to-clear dark golden body. Lacing rings down the glass. Moderate floral citrus nose. Orange and orange peels to the taste character followed by a backdrop of resinous bitterness. Medium bodied. Quite alright and food friendly to my cheese burger. (17.08.2019).
4.0 Amber with a creamy head. Floral aroma with strong caramel tones. A bit of peach underneath. Taste is bittersweet, trending bitter at the end. A strong malty foundation—which is how I like my IPAs. Medium body with just a hint of water. Refreshing and tasty.
3.1 Flaska@BA. Grumligt ofiltrerat gyllengul vätska. Lätt citrus och barrskogsdoft. Lätt beska och en diskret maltkropp.
4.0 Bottle shared by Keukeman. Unclear dark orange color, full sized a bit creamy off-white head. Aroma and flavor is malts, hops, mainly bitter hops, slightly resinous. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Quite solid. 8-4-8-4-16
