3.3 33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Thick creamy white head. Cloudy blond pour. Nice label. Very average beer
3.2 Bottle shared. Cloudy orange with a big white head. Aroma of meat, herbs, soapy notes, yeast, malt and light fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.6 Bottle from Table and Vine. Cloudy orange with huge whipped cream head (too big) and full lace. Orange bread and spice aroma. SWeet vanilla peach and booze with herbal bitterness that lingers. Medium soft creamy body. Pretty average, which is not bad.
3.3 2/4/2009 6:32:26 AM Bottle from Bier Koning. Dark armber body with large head. Malty nose. Hoppy and fruity taste. Also sweet, with some coriander. Enjoyable.
Wysycenie: ?rednie, tutaj pasuje. Alkohol mocno odczuwalny, spirytusowy, troch? przeszkadza.
3.3 On tap @ Zythos 2015 Treviso. Giallo dorato, velata, schiuma bianca grossolana non troppo persistente. Decisamente amara, quasi secca, finale speziato, piuttosto improvviso. Poco corposa, spigolosa, calda. Non troppo equilibrata, ma armonica.
3.5 Very nice and lively Tripel. It has a nice full and fruity aroma with a good hoppy/bitter aftertaste.
3.5 Bottle as a gift, @ home. Murky amber colour, white head. Fruity with notes of grapefruit and banana. Sweet and malty, bitter finish. Good tripel.
3.1 Pours unclear yellowblonde . OK , but big bubbles white head that fades to zero in no time . Scent is sweeter than average , some yeast-notes . Taste is surprisingly bitter , but in a very sharp way . doesn’t taste hoppy, really . grainy undertone, but with a more pronounced yeast profile in top of it . Has every aspect of a tripel , so thats a good thing . Only , its not balanced . The co-operation of the different aspects doesn’t work out , making this not as nice to drink as the average tripel .
3.4 Alone at home. Hazy blond colored beer with large white head and no carbonation visible. Hopped fruited aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sweet fruited ending bitter spicy.
3.2 Bottle at home. Hazy golden pour, huge foamy white head. Aroma is quite spicy, slightly fruity, a bit of artificial candy, some stophoest and a bit chemical. Flavor is quite bitter, slightly sweet malts, heavy carbonation and a bit chaotic.
3.7 Bottle 0.25l from De Hopduvel beer shop Ghent Belgium.Pour it orange colour with medium white head.Taste is good mixed of sweet, soft and good carbonation.
3.0 Triple with dense, firm, off-white foam and warm orange blonde colour with a somewhat pinkish hue, equally fuzzy because of delicate, dusty yeast particles that become big yeast clouds after pouring in the deposit. Nutty aroma with subdued fruits (orange, apricot, tomato), some vanilla, sage, leather, cognac, black pepper. Dry taste with vivid fruitiness, medium carbonated, on a caramelly maltiness, nutty and spicy tones, finishing in a peppery hop bitterishness. Moderately okay tripel but a bit redundant, in my view.
3.8 Bottle from the brewry stadn at Zythos 14. Soft, fruity, similar to the Blondelle, but this has an extra edge of bitterness - more to my liking.
3.6 Beautifully hazy golden colour, creamy and stable white head. Aroma and taste are big on malts, grainy and sweet with tones of banana, peach, vanilla coming through: balanced bitterness, a pinch sour and nice alcoholic burn. Medium-low carbonated, light-medium bodied, oily mouthfeel.
3.1 33 cL bottle at home, gusher! Pours hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma is quite typical Belgian with some yeast, spices, bit malty and quite sweet. Taste has some spices, yeast some fruitiness and malts with a medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo.
3.3 Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 8.5% Light gusher, nothing that can’t be prevented. Deep orange colour on the body with some big chunks of yeastfloating around. Huge head, slighty off-white, soapy, with good retention. Medium lacing on the glass. Boozy aroma that matches well with the malts, the sugar and the fruity notes of apricot. Taste has also lots of alchohol, apricots and peaches with malts coming from the back, albeit subtle. Medium and airy body, fizzy carbonation. Not much to say about this one, a classic tripel, only more alcohol fueled.
3.4 Cap top bottle, illustrations is a wizard and a tree brewing beer in a cauldron. Really funky sugar and caramel aroma. Murky orange with heavy suspension. Very sweet and nearly tart taste, candied sugar abounds. In spite of this I found it to be very dry like hoppier tripels. Not much other impression from the body, imperceptibly heavy and filling.
3.1 Ordinary Belgian tripel. Has this artisinal funky edge, but nothing special beyond that.
3.2 Rated on 02-20-2010 (Flip-top bottle) This beer forms a small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, hazy amber body, visible carbonation, and floaties. The Aroma is caramel malt, hops, sweet, some clove, fruity, and some alcohol. The Taste is sweet, lightly bitter, caramel malt, fruity, hoppy, and some alcohol. The Palate is very smooth and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, this is one of my favorite beer styles, but it fell short in the flavor as the flavors just did not seem to come together very well. This beer is not one that I will seek out again.
3.3 Bottle from Blue Max. Hazy orange pour with a small white head. More juicy citrus - very tiny bit of sour - than yeast, but there is a touch of yeast. Pretty good beer.
3.1 23rd Sep 2013: 33cl bottle in De Bierboom, Brugge. Poured a golden hazy colour on first pour, the sediment came out with a vengeance as I emptied the remainder into my glass, turning the glass a more orange hue with a few heavy hunks sinking to the base. The white head gave some lacing and hung around for the whole beer. The taste and nose were both fruity and yeasty, the fruits leaning towards semi-sour citrus, but not quite getting there. I thought it different and tasty, a nice mix of flavours and overall a pleasant enough beer to sip while talking about beers with friends.
3.9 Bottle from ABS. cloudy, glowing golden orange, high, thick head. Very fragrant, peach and orange nose, jammy apricots, creamy, fresh fruit. Creamy, jammy fruit flavor, orange, apricot, grass, some minerals. Nicely juicy. Some biscuits, spicy yeast, lightly funky. Sweet, but somewhat drier finish with peppery hops. Great fruit flavors, just a bit too sweet. Very nice though.
3.6 bottle t home ... little gusher ... hazy amber ... big white head ... soft salty fruit .. light yeast nose ... over fizzy ...light peachy amber.. light salty fruits ... peachy ...juicy ... peppery linger ...light herbal tones ... soft and fruity ... nice .
3.2 Oranje helder met schuimig witte kraag Aroma: mout, zout, citrus, dertien in een dozijn dus Smaken: medium zoet, matig bitter, licht pepertje, rijpe fruiten, koriander Medium body, dub, hoog co2, afdronk lang kruidig/zoet Licht gist, toch fijne smaken
3.5 Big swingtop bottle (no volume listed but appears to be a 750ml) that pours out a hazy honey colour. Aroma is weak fruit, grainy malt, and yeast. Flavour is slightly sweet, yeasty, and some peppery spice in the finish.
3.2 Heel malty neus.
