3.8A solid light/lager. Medium/ pale, light head. Great with the soft be Indian dinner.
2.3From an Indian mart in the East Village: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is industrial lager, vague adjuncts. Taste is sweet, light grainy. Not terrible with spicy Sri Lankan food.
1.1Bottle. Gold in color with a wimpy head. Aroma is weak and watery. Taste is a weak attempt at a beer.
1.9Pours light gold with a thick white head. Aroma of corn malt. Taste has light floral notes dancing over some carbonated bubbles. Palate has sickly sweet malt. Not bad for a cheap beer.
2.2At an Indian restaurant. Came in a glass, could have been from a tap or bottle, did not bother to ask. Pours pale gold. Orange, very perfumey, light cereal, light sulfur. Medium body. Not great.
3.011 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at The Heartland Bar in the Sheraton Hotel in Madison, WI. showing a clear, golden hue, with a modest layer of soft white froth that reduced to a thin ring, and light spots & strands of lacing. The nose was light lager scent, light malt sweetness, some grassiness, and a hint of pit fruit. Light to medium bodied, the taste was similar, with lively, seltzer-like carbonation. Crisp & clean.
2.2Pours pale clear gold big white head. Aroma typical pale lager, corn, light, not bad. Taste is slightly buttery buttery, sour corn, oily. Have had better tasting light lagers. Mouthfeel is watery but somehow not crisp. While appearance and aroma not bad, all in all a poor example even for the style.
1.8Not really a fan. No head to speak of. Couldn’t detect hops and had a soft drink like sweetness to it. Paired ok with the spices Indian food but not something I’ll seek out any time soon.
2.3From: 750ml Cla
Aroma: wet fart that dissipates into a urine mold... Faint yeastiness
Appearance : crisp clean yellow, barely any head
Taste: light malt with a bit of light bitter hop at the end. Faint flavor overall.
Palate: light and crisp, rolls cold and fast
Overall: it's been a long time since I've had a lager. Happy birthday Cla ❤️😂
2.3Aroma 3/10: oh god, it smells like really stinky lager yeast
Appearance 3 /5: I'll give more points on appearance. It's clear golden, small bubbly head, wish it were bigger
Palate 3 /5: medium body. Not as carbonated as I expect.
Taste 3/10: I don't like lagers to begin with. This one starts off like sweet corn, finishes slightly metallic and biscuit malt.
Overall 8/20: not the biggest lager fan. Not the biggest fan of this either. Odd and metallic aftertaste.
Final: 2.0
1.2Bottle. Hydrated urine pour, quickly fading head. Aroma is sweet grain, corn, simple syrup. Flavor is sweet, bland, karo syrup, some mild hop. Limpid and limp. Feel is limp as a wimp gimp, falls flat. This one blows. Full stop.
3.422 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled in 8/2017. Pours crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, corn, rice, white bread dough, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Solid and pleasant aromas with pale malt/grains and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, rice, white bread dough, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, rice, white bread dough, and light herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/grains and mild earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a solid pale adjunct lager. All around good robustness of pale malt/grains and mild earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Clean pils malt/grains and mild earthy hop balance. Inoffensive and not a whole lot of character, but well made and I enjoyed it. No real off flavors to speak of.
1.7Pours clear light golden with thick, foamy head. Aroma is slightly skunky with caramel. Taste starts slightly sweet, with some caramel, before moving to a more bitter, hop backbone. Finish is nonexistent. An undistinguished pale lager.
2.5Bomber from Bombay Darbar in Miami. The food was unbelievable! Very light, slightly crisp and a little grainy. The food and company were excellent....so my lack of focus on the beer and the bump for a great evening bump this up probably.
2.6Bière légère avec pas mal de goût mais qui s'estompe un peu trop rapidement.
2.6From the 650 ml. bottle with an 11/17 bottling date. Clear bright yellow pour under a fizzy head. Adequate lacing. Bready and sweet nose. Kind of cardboard or papery too. Sawdust maybe. I can't explain it! The body is light but fairly creamy. The taste has a pleasant malty presence with a grassy, mild finish but this is really nothing extraordinary. However, drink up after you finish mowing your lawn!
2.0Light yellow with near to little head. Seems to be sold at most Indian restaurants. Very basic beer.
2.5Bottle at an Indian restaurant in Sterling, VA. Deep gold and slightly fizzy, with sweet malts, little by way of hops, and moderately bitter finish. i preferred the Kingfisher I drank before.
2.0DAA; Bottle with spritzy, citrus, honey water. Weak in aroma and taste, strong for your thirst.
2.0March 2016. Boring and pointless.
Sorry, I had to upload these old ratings. They were for me, not for uploading. And also I need 75 characters, hence this sentence.
3.5From old tasting notes. Deep brassy gold color. Big creamy white head. Pleasant malt aroma with a fresh hop bouquet. Tasty malt flavor is nicely balanced by a subtle grassy hop finish.
3.8A decent lager in the German style Goes well with Indian food. Xxxxxxxx cxxxxxxx
2.1Bottle in an indian shop in Marseillle, France. Pale malts, little hops, nothing special
2.6Bottle pour. Clear light yellow with a small white head. Aroma is corn and straw. Light slightly oily body. Strong sweet flavor.
2.0Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma of makt, corn, light citrus. Taste is mellow sweet with a smooth finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
1.3Bottle from Little Asia Akasaka. Corn, straw, citrus, sugar notes. Sweet malt. Thin body, but high level of cloying sweetness.
2.1Nice big bottle that is cheaper than a small bottle of Kingfisher at the Indian restaurant. After tasting can tell why. Not too awesome but not bad with Indian food, but Kingfisher definitely better. Very unrefined, but has some sentimental value from countless indian restaurant meals.
2.022oz bottle 3/1/17 (Binny’s Montgomery)-40° in Lager Glass.Pours a cleargolden with a small white head. Aroma of corn and sweetness. Taste of the same with a bit of grain on the back end, This light bodied brew is just another pale lager.
1.7Tried it just to try it while out for Indian food downtown. Not bad but nothing remarkable or memorable about it at all. crisp and clean and that is pretty much it.
