This beer was known as Area 51 IPA during development. Ethos is our new West Coast style IPA...double dry-hopped using 6 different hop varietals. Juicy, citrusy, dank.

3.5Can, shared by belgbeergeek. Pours dark yellow, a bit hazy, decent off-white head. Strong peach aromas, more spicy in the flavour and resinous in the end. Despite being quite rich in aroma and taste, not really my style of IPA.
3.0ivorywhite head. orangeyellow colour. aroma slight hoppy. taste is slight spicy, something herbal with a bitter finish. medium body and carbonation. can
3.8Really tasty - overwhelming citrusy hops with a nice backbone to hold it all together. Good stuff.
3.1I?m a bit confused about the reviews that say golden clear because mine poured a true cloudy apricot. Possibly the result of handcrafted beer. Anyway a truly fine craft although straight forward and lacking any deep complexity. Medium head and decent even lacing. Toast and some alcohol coming through at 6.8%abv. $9.99/multi sixer at Binny?s, Forest Park IL
3.7Can at lake quivira beach. Pours clear golden with off white foamy head. Nose is pungent citrus and pine, some earthy malt notes as well. Same on the tongue with pretty good bitterness and drinkability. Balanced and surprised at the ibu
4.0Nice strong citrus and dank aroma. Pretty and clear appearance. Medium weight with complimenting carbonation. Big IPA flavor without being too harsh. Well received.
3.7Plain Jane IPA but some fruit hints come out of the hops. Expected more punch for 110 IBU. Drinkable but not exceptional.
3.8Can - big foamy head, clear medium gold color, big citrus and pine hop aroma and favor, mild malt backbone, moderate bitter finish, definitely good overall
3.1Canned, darker amber color with white foam, aroma is citrus, flavor is choppy citrus, some pine, wafers, medium bitter finish
3.216oz can at trailer. Clear amber color with lasting ivory head. Pine, tea leaf, floral, marshmallow aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Pine, citrusy, herbal hoppy flavors with a tangy toasted caramel base---drying finish___not bad.
2.916 oz can poured into a tulip-style pint glass. Thanks to my friend Ed for the trade. Best by 6/1/2015. Clear golden yellow with 4 fingers of beige head. Aromas of biscuit, aged hops, malt. Tastes of biscuit, malt, light citrus, floral notes, aged hops. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Seems past prime despite the best by date.
3.8Citrus and trop fruit/pineapple. Rich and malty, balanced by big, flavorful hops. Really finds a nice balance. Delicious
4.116 oz can. Translucent apricot with active tiny bubbles and a decent sized head. Mango, pear, resiny, orange and brown sugar. Fruity, candy sweetness with a big orange pith bitterness. Body is medium with a fizzy feel
3.8Can:
Hazy....orange-brown with a small, off-white head.
Caramel, orange-peel scent.
Taste is strong orange-peel, grapefruit-peel bitter.
Rich malt, nice long bittering.
Very good.
3.9Can. Tangerine/peach malt and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange toffee malt and moderately strong pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Nice balance. Very nice IPA.
3.8Can given by alexsdad06. Poured hazy copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy west coast citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.
3.5Light orange with a white head. Citrus, grapefruit, candied fruit, orange. Medium bodied. Flavor is strong orange and citrus notes wit some decent sugared bright fruits. A decent IPA.
3.7Can from Bigtreebrewing, thanks for the opportunity.
Slight chill hazy in a deep golden liquid topped by a good sized off white head that persists. big citrus and pine on the nose with a solid hit of fruity caramel maltiness. Light juicy fruit and dankness round us out nicely. Nice ipa, a bit dry in the finish. I could drink these without too much hesitation.
3.81 pint can, Manhattan, KS. Hazy amber, thick head. Floral aroma. Balanced flavour, then an alcohol hit on the finish. Caramel and yeast.
4.6Great hoppy beer. Full hop aroma. Copper in color. Good blend of hops and malt. Bitterness from the hops, but it doesn’t linger as the malt calms it down.
3.8pours a murky amber gold with a thick off white head. aroma is bright lemon citrus. taste is orange citrus, almost sweet, then hoppy bitter. long bitter finish. nice nasal linger. Excellent IPA!
3.8Can, from dresden-- thanks Steve!-- shared with my father in law. Hazy golden with a lasting off white head. Very piney/grassy hop profile, fresh and pungent, crackery malts, long bitterness. Tasty.
3.7Blind taste poured by my wife from a 16oz can. Copper color with big off white head. Aroma is juicy citrus pear booze. Hint of malt as the base but this beer is all about the booze and the 110 IBUs, grassy, piney hop flavors with long lingering grapefruit hop bitter finish. The 8% feels more like 10% in this one. as it warms up it improves significantly.
4.0Sunset blood-orange colored body with a surprisingly medium sized foam. orange aroma, bitter with burnt carmel overtones
3.7poured from 16 oz can....pour is beautiful cloudy copper with nice inch head...distinct lacing....nose is pine and citrus hops.....mouth is the same with some grapefruit tossed in...really nice beer....solid stuff!
3.3Semi-hazed sunny orange appearance. Resilient off white foam. Mandarin orange and mango aroma with supporting needly and familiar floral bitterness. Caramel sweetness filters in and this also affects the flavor enormously. Tropical hop flavors are featured but lack the electricity found in better examples; crystal malt’s grating, dull sweetness is distracting as ever. The palate is relatively clean given this, with lean carbonation; oily, blank bitterness in a long finish. A mash-up of old and new within the style; neutral.
3.9Pours a nice red with off white head. A nice enjoyable Midwest spin on a West Coast IPA. Worth trying for sure.
3.7Fluffy white head. Very nice aroma, hoppy grapefruit. Straw/copper appearance. Excellent grapefruit and lemon flavor in the mouth. Aftertaste has a little bit of skunk. I like this, but the aftertaste takes a bit off the score.
3.7Poured from a 16oz can.
Aroma - Some hints of tropical fruit.
Appearance - poured into a duvel glass. Nice white fluffy head - about a 1 1/2 fingers and it is slowly dissipating.
Taste - This is a good tasting beer. 110IBU’s
Overall - tasty beer. Glad I picked up a 4 pack
3.616 oz. can from drsordr. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium sized thick off white head that leaves solid lacing. The aroma has more citrus and tropical fruit character to the hops. The flavor opens with a little grapefruit citrus, but the earthy, dank hops are much more prevalent, toasted bread, caramel, moderate bitterness, dry finish.
