Brewed as a traditional India Pale Ale. A highly hopped, medium-bodied, higher alcohol ale. This is a true hop-head beer. Generous portions of Northern Brewer, Centennial and Cascade hops complete this beer.

3.6Draft at Badfins. Clear golden-orange. Nice clean hop profile and flavor. Pretty good
3.5Pretty clean IPA, not too bitter. Decent character of grass, citrus, tropical fruit. Finishes lightly bitter; good palate. Draft at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
3.0Served at Disney. Large head; gold color. Pine aroma. Flavor is moderate pine bitterness. Decent IPA. Quite standard for style.
3.3Cloudy yellow pour. Nose of bright hops, pine. Taste is pale citrus with bitter finish. Lingering bitter aftertaste.
3.8Can poured a hazy tarnished gold with a small lasting creamy off white head. Aromas of bread, peach, tangerine, orange zest and light pink grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, citrus and a hint of earthiness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
3.6Hoppy, little metallic, non malty, no floral overtones, minimal citrus.
Great White Grill on tap
A nice IPA lacking big guns...
4.3Poured into a pint glass, color is a golden orange/yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet citrus and hoppy freshness. Taste is very fresh citrus hop notes that are balanced and has a clean finish. A very good beer for summer days or grilling.
3.6Grabbed a 4 pack cuz the dumb local shop doesn’t break up into singles so drinking more beer for less rates at new digs. Light amber pour. Nose is citrus and florals. Tastes of orange, grapefruit, white grape, paper, perfume, touch of honey. Stickier palate. Medium bodied.
3.4On tap at the Animal Kingdom. Clear dark amber. Heavy lacing whitish head. Grass and caramel aroma. Moderately bitter.
3.4Pretty good, not great, nothing much to say here. Just a typical IPA. Was very refreshing on a very hot day in the Animal Kingdom. They sell it by the elephant's crap load there.
3.4Orange color with some haze. Cottony and lasting head. Aromatic with Pine. Nicely bitter with a good malt backbone. Finish lasts but is not pungent. Drank on tap.
3.4Draft. Pours cloudy amber. The taste is orange butter with some grapefruit. Average IPA
2.9Can at CBC pours a clear orange with a ring of white head. Nose is mild, orange, pine, paper. Flavor is very beer-y in a bad way, malt, citrus, yeast, stale. Dry finish.
2.7Pours a clear golden with a rich, sticky white head. Subtle, but pleasant grapefruit bouquet. Humble malt backbone and a mild citrus hop character. Both of which fade quickly. Grapefruit bitterness at the finish.
3.0Draft. Pours clear light amber, thin off white head. Aroma of pine and floral, not real strong. Taste is both some medium sweetness and some bitter on the tongue right away. Medium-light body, finishes with some dry bitterness. Not an amazing IPA but not bad.
3.5Bottle. Malty, citrus, fruity in ythe nose. Floral and a touch perfume, but also touch of malt and sweet
3.5Can to face. Red tab. Light melon aroma with some citrus. Taste follows with some light grass. Actually very pleasant but a tad sweet.
3.2Light orange color, sticky foam, light citrus and grass hops. Moderate bitterness. L
2.9Amber with visible carbonation white head. Toasted malt nose. Green hop flavor some bitterness in finish, mild malt profile. Orlando
3.4Pours a cooper amber with a soapy white head. Copious sticky lacing. Nose is citrus, spruce and bread. Taste mildly bitter. Finish bitter with lemony hop notes. Nice brew.
3.6On tap. Amber in color with a creamy white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma. Biting bitter hoppy flavor. Medium bodied. Quite tasty.
3.7Lemon gold clean white head low to moderate carbonation. Sweet malts and hops on pine citrus side. Full bodied for an IPA. Very nice.
3.4Draft 5/13/15 (Brick House Tavern-Tampa)-Poured a copperish orange with decent sized head. Aroma of hop, malt, and pine. Taste of the same with some citrus on the back end. This medium bodied brew is pretty well balanced.
3.816 oz can
Clear gold with a tall mostly white head.
Fresh citrus and pine resin hop aroma.
The flavor is well balanced, moderately bitter with a nice long bitter finish.
3.7There’s a certain sub-style of IPAs that don’t have a name, but they have common characteristics. Malt-forward but also plenty piney and bitter. It’s similar to the classic East Coast style, but sweeter. Whatever that genre is, Tampa Bay Old Elephant Foot IPA is part of it. It’s a familiar, safe-bet IPA, but a decent one at least.
I poured a 16oz can into a tulip glass. There was no freshness date and it cost $2.49 ($0.16 per ounce).
Appearance: Dark, almost dirty-looking shade of orange/copper/light brown. Clear at first but becomes more and more cloudy. Pours to an average-sized, white, frothy head which retains and laces pretty well.
Smell: An interesting combination of pine sap, light lemonpeel, and amber malts (all the makings of Centennial hops).
Taste: This beer is definitely malty for the style, and it’s the first thing I notice. Classic amber ale selections of grain to give it mild candy-like sweetness, but intensely syrupy or confectionery-like. At the same time it’s also noticeably bitter. A consistent, strong dry bitterness from beginning to end. Actual hop flavor doesn’t really come through until the second half when there’s a strong burst of pine and resin. I also get some lemon taste as well, though it’s fairly short-lived. This combination of flavors is one of my least favorite for an IPA to have, yet I will say this palette is still enjoyable.
Drinkability: The delivery to Tampa Bay Old Elephant Foot IPA is a bit of a mixed bag. Though it’s a sweet, malty beer; the mouthfeel seems to have a slightly watery texture to it. It seems like it should be more viscous. But then again, this is technically just a single IPA, so it’s actually appropriate for the style. It’s also nice that there’s no discernible alcohol presence despite the 7% ABV. One can definitely is satisfying enough, and this would stand up to flavorful food quite well.
RATING: 7/10
2.6On tap @ Tampa Bay Brewing. Hazed golden orange colored beer with white foam. Aroma is full of tea, dried orange rind, and floral hops. A mild soapy quality. Sweet biscuit and toasted grains are prominent as well. Has that typical bitter caramel water flavor to it. Very earthy and almost dusty tasting. Just not a fan of this.
2.9This IPA poured a clear Amber colour with a soapy head. No lacing. Scents include citrus, spruce and dough. First swig had nice carbonation and flavours of citrus hops and malt. Finish was quite bitter with lemony pineapple hop flavours lingering.
3.5Enjoyed right from the can in sunny Tampa. Taste is citrus, dough, pine and hops. Solid IPA.
3.4ivorywhite head leaves lacing. orangeblonde colour. aroma is hoppy, caramel, bit of sulpher, centennial, bit of cedar wood. taste like aroma with a long resinous bitter finish. medium body and carbonation. can 50cl
3.6Orangey copper, big white head. Smells caramel and piney, nothing too fancy but still appealing. Taste is pretty much the same - caramel malt mixed a dry, sticky citrusy finish. Nice stuff.
