3.3Backlog January 2019. Bottle as Iglusauna session. Almost clear golden body under a nice, dense white head. Pretty aggressive carbonation. Nice refreshing aroma, rhubarb, raspberries, flowers, juniper and spices from the forest. A bit unusually, almost weird in taste, fruity marmalade, juniper, pine, fruit and spruce shoots marmalade. Not sure if it’s nice or just strange but sure an interesting brew.
3.4Almost clear golden color and a nice white head. Spicy and wooden nose. Very interesting. Taste is hard to describe: tart, fruity, wooden, spicy, earthy
3.5As still WFH and I like the stats am adding on historical ticks. Had this around 8 months to joining Ratebeer whilst out in Tallinn.
3.00,44l can. Enjoyed straight out of the can, after a sauna, looking at a bonfire. Mostly herbal and malty profile with average carbonation.
3.0Draught at Tribeca Ugly Duck.
Clear golden coloured with a medium sized white head.
Fruity aroma of herbs and spices.
Fruity flavour of herbs, Juniper, licorice and spices.
Herbal finish.
3.0[Can (440ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a hazy pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of canned peas, fruit and light herbs. Flavour mostly follows, adds some wood and loses the canned peas. Average bodied. Just O.K.
2.9Cloudy golden coloured with small head and medium body. Fruity, woody and average beer.
2.8August 7, 2019 with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel - 440ml can. Clear bubbly gold pour, smallish head. Tangy herbal aroma, way too sweet ... odd. Taste is woody - spruce, sweet - canned peas? Light body, astringent, quick finish but oh that tinned pea taste is still there long afterward.
2.3Can. Light golden, hazy, small to average to large and diminishing lasting head. Light moderate, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light -some notes of birch. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light - some notes of birch. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, some notes of birch, faint bitterness. Birch aroma/flavor dominates over bitterness. Curiosity - nothing more. Not very enjoyable.
4.8Vesine, mahlane. Mõnusa kase maitse ja lõhnaga. Sobib hästi saunaks.
3.8Lively upon opening.Hazy yellow appearance. Unusual earthy flavour that reminded me of green tea.Weird but quite pleasant. A new brewery for me.If i try any more beers from them than wont be more unusual than this one.worth a try though.
3.7Very nice balance between sweet birch syrup and hoppy bitterness. Tastes like Finnish summer sauna
3.2440 ml can at hom, from the can. Pale malts, herbal, floral and earthy woody notes, light hop touch with unusual herbal notes that I assume is birch.
3.2Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours clear gold, a little pale, with abundant white foam, fine and soapy. Aroma is particular, with a vegetable and grassy feeling. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is moderately bitter, though with an underlying sweetish recall that is consistent with aroma. Final is average.
3.0From Beer52 had in Forres December 19, 440ml can, a very nice ale.
5.0Best sauna beer!
2.2Can from beer fox. Medium honey with a froth residing. Scent is fairly mild sour ale. Mild honey and mild herbs. Apple. Taste is consistent, watery, slightly harsh, like a flat cider. Finish is a bit of black pepper, not the cleanest water, and more apple. Subpar.
2.3Golden colour with minimal white head and cloudy appearance. Light, unconventional smell bordering on floral.
Jasmine notes, refreshing can see how it's a sauna beer. Light and palatable but bitter grapefruit taste lingers on the back of a tongue. Malt notes and medium carbonation.
Interesting beer, would happily drink again if offered but perhaps wouldn't buy again.
3.3Tastes a bit like the birch tea it’s made with. Which is kind of foggy, uba tallinn
3.2@ BXL Beer FEst 2019.? Hazy golden, white foam. Rather thin and light IPA, some fruity hops, sweet aroma. TAste is light bitter. Ok, a bit thin.
3.4Draft @ BxlBeerFest 2019.
3.22019-08-07. Crisp yellow body small white head fades. Aroma is relatively mild, lightly earthy, vaguely smokey woodsy undertones. Whisper of green peas / canned veg. Flavour is similar, mild lightly sweet pale malt, mild earthy character. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Super interesting but not my favourite. 6/3-4/6/3/13 Can via Marduk.
3.30,44l can from K-Supermarket Lasihytti, Espoo. Clear light golden beer with medium but quite quickly vanishing head. Aroma has birch, yeast and some sweet fruits. Flavor has yeast and birch too. Light tart fruitiness and citrus also. Medium- body. Surprisingly good, clean, nice and refreshing beer with a good birch twist!
3.5Nice soft beer,
3.226 June 2019. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Cheers to my Teamleader colleagues!
Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, small, frothy, white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of yeast, old apple, bread dough (ready to be baked), honey, pepper, garden herbs, spruce, vague coriander. Taste is light fruity sweet, hinting at apple, banana & honey-bready malts; strong spicy bitter core of pepper, herbs, spruce with a yeasty, faintly sourish edge. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, lingering yeast, apple, spices. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. The accents it wants to capture are there but tastewise this isn't very memorable.
3.2Burk från 100 Ölle Koht Tallinn. Disigt gul med vitt skum. Lätt touch av björkris och bastu.
