2.9One of the better Tap Room No. 21 beers. Malty and sweet with some hops to balance the mouthfeel. Not great but it’s OK.
2.1Rated on 5-17-2010 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a small white fizzy head with a short retention, transparent gold body, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, grainy and corn. The taste is malt, corn and mildly harsh. The palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer lacks character, depth, aroma, and flavor. This is a beer that I do not recommend.
2.4Bottle @ a football party. Light amber colored beer with a small off-white head. Soap, grass, and grains on the nose. Really sweet, but also a bit tart. Weird. Flavor is really sweet up front with a grassy bitterness on the back. Really soapy. Some lemon, burnt grains, and water. Not a fan.
3.5Clear light amber, almost a brilliant dark gold, under a foamy white head. Nose has a bit of honey and a fair dose of grassy hop bitterness, almost like a pilsner, with some sweet biscuity maltiness. Flavor is clean and sweet, a bit of honey and biscuit, a little touch of toffee, with an undercurrent of spicy grassy hops. Perhaps Saaz I think. Not shabby.
3.3From beerilicous iPhone app: clear amber. Minimal white head. Light sourness. Watery. Carbed heavy alcoholic finish
4.8Very nice smooth beer. Would go very well with just about any food. Good color and aroma. Very enjoyable beer.
2.4Tastes almost like an American lager. It does have a bit of sweetness to it which might be a honey flavor. Medium light body.
2.1Backlog of ratings. Thanks to someone at one of bu11zeye’s tastings. The look is clear, golden in color, with a whitish head. The smell is floral, malt, and caramel. The taste is fruits, caramel, and malts.
3.0Bottle light amber. Nose malt toffee. Taste sweet malt. Slight mineral mid palate and fleeting bitter finish. For a generic amber, not too bad
3.1Bottle. Light amber, orange color. Decent head. Taste is malty, slightly watery. Aroma is light, hay, also malty.
3.112oz bottle, from Party Town. Totally clear amber orange color. Pours with a thin half-finger off-white head. Some honey syrup in the nose. Pretty nice webs of lace. Caramel malt, light hop, light metallic. Light to medium body. Kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Alright amber ale, despite a slightly macro texture. Better than expected. I don’t usually care for caramel malt, but it works well with the honey. Good to enjoy with my sandwich.
2.7Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light amber color with a rather small white head on it. Nose is very malt forward with a hint of some caramel coming through under the toasting. Taste isn’t too sweet up front, where the malt flavors show up, but finishes quite sweet. Meh.
2.2Beer is malty in aroma and taste. Is little too sweet for my taste, but not offensive by any means.
2.0Rated in 2010 (Backlog) - Gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of grain and light malt. Taste is of grain.
2.2The aroma is reminiscent of sweet dough yeast and caramel malts, and the appearance is a dark amber color with a white film on top of the liquid. The taste is quite sour and slightly sweet, and the palate combines a medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation, and an abrupt finish.
3.0Dark straw. Sweet caramel. Honey aftertaste....this wouldn’t be too good without the honey. Thanks Erin.
2.712oz. Clear amber. Thin white soapy lace. Sweet candi malt aroma. Tastes like adjuncts, corn. Not good.
1.5Poured from a bottle to pint glass. Little head. Kind of sour aroma. Dark copper color. Kind of sour taste. Not good.
2.9Bottle. Clear amber color with a small, white fizzy head. Toasted malt and light caramel aroma. Pretty bland. Has a bitter beer flavor but there is a hint of brown sugar sweetness that lingers. Average carbonation with a watery texture. Not bad if you can get this at a cheap sale price, but nothing I would go out of my way for.
3.8Pleasant maple aroma. Surprisingly nice, nutty flavoring. Based on the other reviews, I wasn’t expecting much, bit this surprised me. Not bad, not bad at all. Definitely NOT a session beer. Nice for a post lawn mowing chug.
3.3I really like the finish on this amber. The low carbonation brings out the flavor. Overall this is a good beer. I would purchase again.
1.9Booooooooooring! Truth be told there is nothing particularly bad about this beer and it is cheap.
3.0This is a good amber ale. Easily available and affordable, while eschewing the tendencies of amber ales to be too simple at times and manages to find an decent flavor. I had tasting notes for this but lost them...I would refer to other peoples comments for more help.
2.6Not a bad but not a great beer. Lower priced so that's a plus. Thin mouth feel and a sweeter taste. Okay beer for warmer days.
2.2Bottle. Light, slightly sweet grainy malt aroma. Clear amber with a moderate beige head. Sweet sugary malt flavor, rather nondescript malt. Light to medium body. low carbonation.
1.8Appearance is a mid amber color supporting a thin dissipating head leaving no lace. Smell having a honey sweetness with a bit of malt in the background. Taste has that honey sweetness that kind of overpowers everything else and not truly enjoying the malt or hops. Mouthfeel is light with some body with a spike of carbonation. This amber is to sweet for me and takes away from the actual style.
2.8Been waiten to try this. From a bottle it has a crisp clean sterile olfactory. Looks orangy brown in color, almost fruity looking. Very good carbonation. No real bitterness that I can identify but it is anoying in its own little way, like a genny. Enjoyable, I’ll change my taste from a 4 to a 5, it really is a 4.5: It hides the alky content fairly well, however, you know it has a little bit of a kick to it. Finish is almost fruity alky in nature.
2.8bottle. Poured clear gold with no head. Aroma is sweet with caramel notes. Smooth/creamy medium mouthfeel. Very sweet malty beer, caramelized sugar with a bit astringent finish.
3.1overall a decent brew, everything just seems light on this beer. Light aroma, pale color, light sweetness, slighty fruit flavors, thin feel, light body, soft carbonation. At 5.7%abv, can be a session brew.
4.0Wow, what a unique beer! Honey leaves it slightly sweet...just about perfectly! This also leaves a sweet smooth and mellow aftertaste...very good...dont know how many you could have in a row though
