Brewed with a fine malt body similar to the bocks of southern Germany but drier than the typical bocks of Bavaria.

1.6Pours clear light brown with a thin tan hour. Fake sweet aroma. The flavor is sweet, but it has a little bit of a sour aftertaste to it, I can’t imagine it is done that way on purpose. Not a good beer at all.
1.8Smells sour. Looks brownish amber with a decent head. Tastes a bit sour. Good texture. Horrible beer from a horrific brewery.
2.5~ Purchased this 12 oz bottle from Big Z Beverage in Huntington, NY. The pour is dark brown with a white head that fades away quickly. It smells of light malts, caramel, and some hops. Taste is sweet. This is not a good beer. The body was thin, and the mouthfeel too watery.
All in all, I found Tejas to be dull, boring, and just flat out weak! ~
3.1Nice leathery brown color. Kinda sweet malt flavor with some spice mixed in that’s hard to place. Aroma consists of some bread & dried fruit. Overall this is an easy drinking brew that’s not too complex.
3.0ruby red pour with a med off white head.well balanced bock. does Minhas Craft Brewery not make a beer over 4%????????????
2.5Presentation: This is one of six beers from an eighteen pack labeled Beer of America, Historical Collection. The 18 pack also came with a nice book titled, The History of Beer in America. It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a mug. There appears to be no freshness date on the bottle.
Appearance: The body has a deep amber color with good clarity and just a few small bubbles of carbonation making there way up to the head. The head is just off white in color, small and fades fast. Only a small ring of slick lacing remains.
Smell: It has a light roasted grain aroma with a light hint of minerals and leafy herbal hops.
Taste/Palate: The flavor has a base of light roasted grain with lots of buttery sweet notes. There are some mineral salt like notes and mild bitterness as well that turn into grassy/leafy hop flavors into the finish. The palate has light to medium body with a slick and fizzy texture.
Notes: This was a rather bland beer and it had very similar flavors to all the other beers in the mixed pack. The best part of this 18 pack is the book that came with it.
2.6Woo hooo $10 bucks for an 18 bottle mixed pack of craft brews and a book.
Bottle poured into a pills glass produced a finger worth of fluffy white head on top of a light brown body. You get aromas of bread, assorted grains and a little bit of a sour note in there as well. Wow, for a cheap brew the flavor is ok. Rather sweet malts, a little roasted malt throw in as well. It is light and crisp in your mouth and rather refreshing. I would drink another one of these if I was thirsty. Not a bad brew for the price
2.9Gift from my Wisconsin hook up. Thanks Jamie. Part of my Minhas samples. Aroma of sweet burnt dark malt.
Nice body and look with a sweet malt finish. Interesting.
2.5I had this a long time ago, as it’s in my records, but I didn’t take down good tasting notes!
2.6Solid amber orange with an off white lasting foam. A nutty, metallic, light cocoa aroma. Some sweet caramel, but watery. Taste is again a light cocoa, sweet and creamy maltiness, but not exceptional in any way.
2.612oz bottle acquired in trade with daknole (thanks!). Poured a medium mahogany color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of nuttiness, light roast, and chocolate. Tastes of the same nuttiness, chocolate, roast, and caramel. Thin body.
2.3Eh not much to say about this. It was bland in every way. A little bit of malt and chocolate taste and aroma to it, but not nearly enough to make me want to try this again.
2.3Thanks to hopdog. Pours a deep copper brown with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, toffee and nuts. Flavor of watery caramel soup, toffee, grains and nuts.
1.712 ounce bottle given to me by goldtwins as punishment for taking a long time getting him the bottles of Rosso I promised. Amber with ring head. Caramel aroma. Incredibly mild caramel spring water flavor. Must have gone through a complex flavor extraction process to make it look almost like beer and still have so little flavor. The only thing that would make this better than Michelob Amberbock would be that it has less flavor.
2.3Thanks to Skyview. Light mahagony color with a small off white head. Caramel and nut roast aroma. A hint of caramel but not much else.
3.112 oz bottle. Pours amber brown with a beige head. Smells of carmel and pecans. Tastes of carmel, molasses, nutty, and just a little earthy. Pretty good stuff.
2.8A caramelly but thin brew with a metallic twinge in the finish. The aroma is appealing though, presenting a dusty-sweet caramel element.
2.0Dark chestnut. Caramel nose with molasses notes. Has hints of molasses but these accents are subdued by a very watery character.
1.7Bottle, in big wooden gift box sampler. Cola brown color with scant fizzy head. Buttery aroma is cookie-like with pecans. Medium carbonation and decent mouthfeel. One-dimensional sweet cookie beer is caramelly, nutty and sweet, buttery and reminiscent of a canister of supermarket cake icing.
2.612 oz bottle from a sampler at Publix. Poured a clear amber color with a one finger off white head. The aroma was vegetal, with some sweet malt notes. The flavor was sweet with an earthy finish.
2.6Amber colored starts with an ok head but goes away quick. Sweet smell with a touch of hops. Touch of caramel in taste with slight bitterness. A little watered down.
2.5Poured a clear light amber color with a thin off-white head. Dried dark fruits for the aroma. Very short fruity start. Then short dry finish. Light body.
2.5Thanks to Goldtwins for sharing this for the tickers. pours a thin light deep copper and a thin dissipating head. Aroma has a dms vegetal quality to it- thin crackery malts- no real munich character. Watered down flavor, thin dms, coooked cabbage slight metallic and just pretty weak overall.
2.0Brownish pour with a thin white head. Malty cardboard aroma, kind of stale. Taste is malty sweet, roasted grain and earthy hops. Otherwise, nothing much going on.
1.3This bottle was brewed & bottled in Rochester and tasted like the mighty Genesee River. Very ho hum brew with a some malt taste but pass on this one.
2.4Bottle. Bland aroma and bland flavors. I cant say this beer was awful, but totally underwhelming. A dunkler bock? Ok if you say so...
3.1Not bad beer; 12 oz bottle from Publix in Brooksville, FL. Pours a brown-gold with a white head. The aroma is sugar, wood, malt, earth, and water. Flavor is same with water and malt lingering in the finish. Not too bad after a few of the other Minhas beers in this mix pack.
3.8Bottle... Dark, clear ruby lager with a mid-sized, wispy, off-white head. Lengthy, tight, white retention. The nose is a touch nutty and chocolaty-sweet... very restrained until the beer’s temperature hits 75°. Full-bodied and creamy with vivacious carbonation. Malty-sweet, as a bock should be, but not cloyingly so. Plenty of spicy, earthy bitterness to balance things out. Chocolate and a touch of coffee. Crisp, lightly bittersweet (more bitter than sweet) finish. I guess I’ll have to go against the grain on this one... I enjoyed it. Bottle provided by scubarex!
2.5(Bottle) Pours a dark golden color, with a light colored head. Taste includes light malty notes and some caramel and biscuit as well. Overall, the flavor/palate of this beer isn’t very good at all... and it is a disappointment.
3.1Pours copper with a fluffy white head. Malty sweetness is what this one is all about. Little if any hops that I could notice. Pretty good easy drinking beer.
