Mousse : Mousse beige hétérogène
Couleur : Noir profond.
Nez : Houblon pinède, orange, malt torréfié terreux.
Bouche : Attaque agrumes, houblon pinède, résineux, agrumes : Saveur orange très fruitée. Puis saveur terreuse de malt torréfié / grillé, chocolat, café. S’adoucit beaucoup en réchauffant. Final amertume et saveur torréfiée laissant la bouche assez sèche.
Avis : Black IPA aux deux facettes très affirmées, superbement houblonnée mais n’en perd pas ses saveurs de malt torréfié. Belle réussite qui gagne à réchauffer en cours de dégustation.
Color negro. Espuma beige. Aroma herbal y ligeramente a maltas. Sabor frutal, sobretodo a mango, suavizado por el torrefacto y la hierba fresca. Al atemperar gana dulzor.

Mousse : Beige tirant sur le marron, stable à 2mm, Bulles de taille moyenne.
Liquide : Noir profond, opaque.
Nez : Agrumes, fruits tropicaux, houblon, pin, chocolat, malt torréfié.
Bouche : Agrumes, fruits tropicaux, pin, amertume, puis malt torréfié, chocolat, café, fruits noirs, amertume, douceur, puis en fin revient sur l’amertume.
Palais : Carbonatation faible, bien équilibré, très bonne longueur.

Aroma: quite intense aromas of pine, resin, spices, grapefruit, citrus, grass. Hints of yeast and malts in the background.
Appearance: dark brown color, almost black, light brown and quite creamy foam, made of small to middle-sized bubbles. High head thickness with medium to high retention, medium Brussels' lacing. Too dark to talk about haziness.
Taste: low sweetness, low to medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of grapefruit, pine, grass, spices, citrus, toasted malts. Hints of roasted malts, dark chocolate, black coffee; these roasted flavors are much more noticeable as the beer warms up. Very well balanced, all the flavors match perfectly to create a very balanced beer.
Palate: medium body, oily / silky texture, low to medium carbonation, long dry finish with medium bitterness and the same aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is very well hidden: no alcohol sweetness, very little mouth and throat warming, almost no noticeable. A little bit of astringency and acidity from the black malts.
Overall: very good appearance. Good aromas and flavors: pine, resin, grapefruit, citrus, spices, toasted and roasted malts and dark coffee and chocolate. Quite good Black IPA. Quite enjoyable. Maybe it would be better with more carbonation and more hoppy aromas and flavors.
33cl bottle from Alko, Turku. Pours very dark mahogany coloured, close to black, with a modest, beige head. Roasty and hoppy; dark chocolate, pine, citrus and notes of dark fruits. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Balanced, smooth and quite enjoyable.
Clear, black colour with a creamy tan head. Aroma has hops, malts, berries, spices. Light bitterness up front, dark malts, nice hoppy finish. Well balanced flavours. Medium body, low carbonation, slick and smooth mouthfeel.
bottle, alko. black, tan head. roasty dry malty, not much fruityness, rather bitter, punchy thing. some citrus though, light cocoa. somewhat old feeling, dry dusty pines in finish. drinks pretty easily though.

Color negro pequeña corona de espuma blanca, aromas tostados café, tostados, cuerpo sedoso rica.
Bottle. Very dark brown, small and fully diminishing dark brown head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, light - some caramel with faint roastiness and light bread, light - some citrus/piney hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish. light - some caramel and light bread, light - some citrus/piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and bread, light - some citrus/light piney hoppyness. Quite meek BIPA. Way too much caramel and bread for me. Head is weak.
Bottle from the lcbo. Black pour, slight reddish hues poke through the bottom, with a large, sticky beige head with great lacing. Aroma is sweet soy, and very very roasty malts. Lovely semi sweet pine aromas, hints of coconut, and sweet butter cocoa. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Roasty finish, soft pine, light coffee, and chocolate.
Malty, fruity, spicy, smooth, sweet, bitter. Excellent.
Lovely black IPA. On tap at craft & draft. Pours basically black, with a nice head. Very balanced malt and hops flavours, with some chocolate and dark malts. Hops is restrained, but still citrus and dark berry notes are prominent. The blackberry touch is not really something I like that much, but that's personal preference. Still a lovely BIPA.
35 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are grapefruit. pine, and roasted malt - with a bitter finish.
Butelka spożyta w domu. Solidnie przekroczona data ważności ( do 8 lutego 2018) ale sprzedawca zapewniał mnie, że nie będzie stanowiło to problemu
Wygląd:
Kolor: Ciemny - nazwa zobowiązuje, nie jest idealnie czarny, ale "ciemność widzę ciemność" jak najbardziej na miejscu ;)
Ładna utrzymująca się chwilę na powierzchni piana. Dość gruba. Nie znika całkowicie i pozostawia na powierzchni mały kożuszek. Lacing średni , ale z pewnością szkło coś tam oblepia.
Zapach: Pierwsze co atakuje nos to ciemne owoce. Słodkość. Winogrona. Następnie wyczuwam coś na kształt karmelu. Kolejne niuchy i cały czas tu słodko. Jak na 50 deklarowanego IBU nawet mnie to zaskakuje - cóż - niewiele jeszcze w życiu spróbowałem. Coś jakby miód majaczył w tle podczas degustacji. Żywica.
Smak: Tutaj napoczyna goryczka i nie da się ukryć, że mamy tutaj trochę tego IBU. Alkohol nie rzuca się " w oczy". Jest dobrze ukryty, co osobiście cenie. Jest odrobinę lepkie. Solidny balans. Kompleksowe. Goryczka pozostaje również przy końcu. Wyczuwam tutaj też orzechy i jakby "kawowość". Z pewnością jest to pijalne i nie pogniewałbym się, jakby postawili mi drugie takie na stole
Podsumowanie
Black IPA nie jest stylem, którego wypiłem wiele w życiu, ale do tych co piłem - miałem raczej szczęście. To piwo miałem okazję spróbować w Belgii i zauroczyło mnie na tyle, że miałem ochotę skosztować go ponownie - tym razem nie jako któreś z kolei i zweryfikować to jak bardzo przy pierwszym razie byłem oczarowany pubem, Belgią i wcześniejszym alkoholem, a na ile piwo w samo w sobie było w moim guście. Pół roku późnej - sporo mądrzejszy w temacie browarów wciąż mogę stwierdzić, że widać tu dużo porządnego piwnego rzemiosła. Cena tego specyfiku także nie powala. Well done :)
Bottle as a gift. BB 27.02.2019. Backlog - had it months ago... Dark brown with thick beige head. Lovely pissy resinous hops and dark roast, very bitter... Soft and velvety on the palate. Good stuff.

Dark, dark brown with a lasting, big bubbles tan head.
Aroma is fruity roast and piney hops.
Roast and hops. Nicely balanced between the two components. Average body and carbonation. Dry, bitter. Nice one. Not the most extreme but nicely balanced.
Pours dark brown colour with beige head on top leaving beautiful lacing. Aroma has grapefruit and pine hop profile and after warning a bit there comes roasted coffee, roasted malts and light chocolate. Heavy bitterness in the end. Medium body and medium carbonation. Would've wanted more black in this Black IPA.
F: medium, tanned, quick gone thin film.
C: dark, opaque.
A: orange, caramel, bit tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, grapefruits.
T: tropical fruits, tangerine, orange, pineapple, bit caramel, bit chocolate, medium to full body, medium carbonation, very good, sample draft @ Swafff! Brussels Craft Beer Festival – 2nd. day.
Bottle. This is a bitter and hoppy IPA with a great roasted malt backbone.
Clear, dark brown to black colored, medium+ frothy beige head, nice lasting and good lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, medium+ hoppy pine and citrus hops. Taste is medium+ sweet malt, roasted notes, chocolate, bit caramel, medium to strong hoppy, pine and citrus grapefruit, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily.
Well before official expiry date, but still rather thin and low hop. Below the standard of a Black IPA, taste like a session IPA version. OK drinkability,
Botella comprada en @lapintacs. Color negro, dos dedos de espuma beige duradera. Aroma herbal y a maltas tostadas. Gusto herbal, a frutos rojos, algo de resina y ligeramente a café tostado, amargor media muy equilibrada. Normalemente las Black IPA pecan de torrefactas, este no es caso, el lúpulo predomina sobre el café. Para mi una de las mejores black ipa que existen.

Аромат цитрусовый, очень фруктово-хмелевой. Цвет темный, легкая кремовая пенка. Вкус кремовый, горький в меру ( пока не согреется ) Ощущается хмель и жженый солод. В послевкусие сильно ощущается шоколадно кофейная кислинка. Классическая черная Ипа .
Bottle. Black in color with a tan head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate and some grassy bitter notes in aroma. Nice, feels already quite smooth. Dark bitter chocolatey notes mixed with some berry sweetnesss. Some salty licorice here as well. Alright drinkability too. Got to like this one.

Brilliant beer. Very IPA ish but slightly roasty in the taste. Very well balanced. Amazing.
50 IBU. Zwart bier met beige schuimkraag. Geur: frisse hop geur, groen, grassig. Smaak: hopbitter, wat dennen, licht geroosterde mout, wat rozen in het retro nasale. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: hopbitter, wat dennen. Een lekkere IPA met toevallig een donkere kleur en niet noodzakelijk met koffie of chocolade, een eigenschap die het voor mij tot een goede Black IPA maakt.
Bottle. Opaque black color with tanned head. Aroma has tropical fruits, dark malt, caramel. Taste is malty with quite long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, dark malt, tropical fruits, grassy hops and chocolate.
Nice hoppy aroma, flavour of hops well balanced, nice burned roasty malts. Very nice black ipa.
