Tenaya Creek Hop Ride IPA

Tenaya Creek Hop Ride IPA

This beer is brewed using 2-Row, wheat, Vienna and caramel malts and is hopped with Summit’s for bittering and flavor and Ahtanum for aroma. This IPA was also dry-hopped, meaning hops were put in the fermentors and serving tanks to give a big citrus and spicy aroma, with Ahtanum, Challenger and Chinook hops. Our IPA is an American style IPA that has a high amount of bitterness but is well balanced and very drinkable.

3.9 Thank you tderoeck! 355 ml. can sampled. Orange, creamy white head. Nose is nice pine hop oil, resin, low pineapple, nice malt presence. Taste is big hop, oily pine resin, decent malt, lightly caramel, lightly metallic sadly. Body is malty, lightly metallic. A bit mellow / possible older but overall pretty nice.
3.8 12oz Can from the can. Earthy hop flavors that linger. Medium levels of maltiness.
3.3 Thnx to tim. Pours rather clear amber. Small white head. Smell is stale hops. Bit sweet. Taste is unfresh, stale hops. Not very aromatic. Can’t say I like it.
3.5 Pour is golden with a small white head. Aroma is more malty then hoppy. A well balanced iPa with enough malts to lend to the citrus hop flavors.
3.3 Pours a slightly hazy golden orange on nitro tap with thick creamy head that leaves great nitro lace. Aroma of mild citrus hops with biscuit and caramel malt tones over the whole thing. Taste follows with a hint more of the hops, bittersweet piney finish. Creamy mouth, mild all around, but not bad.
3.6 Tap. Pours clear orange golden, medium white head, creamy, nice lacing. Aroma is Citrus, grapefruit, passionfruit. Flavor is very light sweet, light plus bitter, muted. Lightish body.
3.7 Draft to shorty at Yardhouse Vegas pour lightly hazy avg gold with moderate white head. Nose mango, tropical fruit, biscuit, hint of pine. Taste moderate bitter bite up front, then pine, resin, and dank. Flavors to me seem disconnected from the nose. Mid palate light grainy malt. Light bitter finish. Reasonably quaffable.
4.0 650ml bottle from Lees Discount Liquors Las Vegas. Hazy yellow amber, good head. Boiled sweet & hop aroma. Sweet hoppy flavour. Smooth& well balanced.
3.6 On tap at Orleans in Las Vegas. Bitter bitter bitter. Citrusy. Very drinkable.
2.9 Bottle. Golden and lightly frothy, this carries more of a malty character than I’d expect. There’s a little bit of an oily topping in here, but overall, I think most beer snobs expecting an American IPA would find this a bit restrained. That said, it’s quite clean and well made, and frankly, everyone calls just about anything an IPA these days. (#6034, 9/13/2015)

3.4 650ml bottle. Pours a chill gazed orange with a one finger, white head that sticks. Aroma has nice notes of orange citrus, pine, resin, and hints of floral. Taste is bitter but balanced. Floral orange citrus, pine, resin, and a touch of chalk or something. Medium body and carbonation. Medium resin in the mouth with a dryer finish. Overall tasty enough. Orange citrus and floral notes. Aroma could be larger.

2.5 Poured from a chilled bottle. Yellow color with a little bit of sediment, a minimal white head. I smell hops with some light citrus notes. Crisp bitterness hits you pretty quick. Leaves a little bitter after taste, begging you to take another sip. Overall, I prefer something with more of a pallet
3.5 Poured from 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Cloudy orangey yellow with white head and a tiny bit of sediment. Floral and citrus hops with a bit of pine on the finish, a slightly sweet bready malt. Medium body.
4.1 On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Really surprising. Tasty citrus with mild grapefruit notes. Perfect balance. Good body and mouthfeel. Another really fine beer from Tenaya Creek......
3.2 "better than either their pale ale or double ipa (which isnt usually the case for me). aromatic hops make their presence known, though there may still have been a touch of age on this. fairly well balanced, spicy and floral."
3.2 Amber colored, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is pine, citrus, caramel, lightly spicy and floral. Medium bodied, moderate to low bitterness, not bad.
3.3 Sampled on draft this beer poured a pale golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was grapefruit, orange and passionfruit. The flavor was grapefruit, lemon, a bit dry and had a hint of tropical fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body. Decent.
