2.2 The beer has got a hazy reddish colour with a small head and medium body. Aroma of cherries and juice. Taste of cherries, juice, leaves and sugar. Fruity finish.
2.6 Bottle from Carrefour, Ninove. Pours hazy red with a lasting, small, foamy, pink head. Overly sweet aroma of hard red candy, sweet cherry, strawberry jam, hint of wheat. It tastes medium to heavy candy-like sweet, hint of sugar & cherry, and only very light wheaty sour, touch of sour cherry. Sweet, syrupy finish. Medium body, syrupy & sticky texture, soft carbonation. Really not bad at all but this is exorbitantly sweet!
1.8 Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweet artificial cherry candy, sugar, and marzipan. Flavour is heavy sugary sweetness and light tart. Body is medium. Way too artificial and sugary, not to my liking at all.
2.8 330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a deep dark red, foamy pinkish cream head. Aroma is exceptionally sweet, sugary, artificial-like cherry. Taste is similarly sweet, sugary not especially cloying or sticky which is a good thing. I ended up not disliking this as much as i thought from the aroma, but yeah its a sweet one.
2.1 Nice sweetish sourish beginning. Sessionable with artificial cherry aroma there. Way too artificial sweet with beer in the back. Sticky sweetish.
3.1 33 cl. bottle. A reddish coloured beer with a pink head. Aroma and flavour of cherries, yeast, candy, fruit and marzipan.
3.2 Overly sweet. Very fruity. strong Notes of cherry, Berries, apple. I enjoyed it but wish it wasn't so sweet
4.1 Very good Kriek, which is of course not everybody's favorite, but from an official Kriek afficionado, this one gets a thumps up.
2.8 Bottle; pours murky reddish brown with a pinkish head; aroma of cherries and sugar with a touch of yeast; taste is sweet cherry with a hint of yeast; dry, syrupy cherry finish
4.7 Super bonne kriek, pas fan de bières si fruitées mais celle-ci est vraiment très agréable à boire. A boire très fraîche.
2.5 Hazy hibiscus pink in color with a large lasting light pink head. Lovely nose of sweet bing cherries and lovely aromatic herbs like Belgian French fry seasoning. Sticky weird cloying flavor that’s overly cherry sugary with a bit of an herbal touch and more chewy sugar syrup. Difficult to drink.
2.5 Bottle from Dranken Vandewinde and drunk on a train. Deep pink colour lasting pink head. artificial fruit flavour. not too sweet but not really a beer. A bit of cherry fun.
2.0 Unnaturally red with a pink head. Aroma cherries and marcipan. Very sweet taste.
1.5 Aroma and taste of sweet cherries. The cherries taste too sweet and unnatural, the mix is unbalanced ( and still hardly any taste of beer noticable).
3.2 bottle bbe 5/17 rosato violaceo schima media non molto persistente piuttosto intenso frutto zuccherata marmellata ciliegie mandorla dolce
3.7 330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/2015. Pours hazy reddish orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/acidic, and lightly creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a nice Belgian fruit beer. All around good robustness and balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
2.9 Flesje thuis gedeeld. Helder rood bier met weinig schuim. Zeer fruitig aroma. Smaak is zeer fruitig haast limonade achtig en zoet. Nasmaak ebt snel weg.
2.1 33cl bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange reddish colour with a mid-sized to small pinkish head. Aroma of very sweet cherries, no beer. Taste of sweet cherries, sugar, no beer!
1.1 Helder rood bier met schuim. Smaak is erg zoet en chemisch, heeft tevens een aparte geur. Lijkt in de verste verte niet op kriek.
2.6 Bottle shared at bruine kroeg. Hazy red off white head. Very sweet candy marzipan cherry flavored candy sugar. Very sweet. Light carbonation.
2.3 Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Slight hazy dark pink with big light pink head. Massive sweet cherries and loads of marzipan, some sweet dough and light herbs. Very sweet. Medium bodied. Wow this is sweet...
2.8 F: very pink, big, pretty stable. C: dark reddish, hazy, opaque. A: mostly cherries, candy, syrupy, light sour, woody. T: syrupy cherries, candy, very sweet, with hint of sourness and bitterness, jam sweet cherries aftertaste, medium body, more than moderate carbonation, not my style, 0,33l bottle from Beer Mania in Brussels.
1.8 Slightly chemical looking orange red with medium pink head. A: cherry sweets, borderline fabricated, light tartness, hint of sour ale. T: sweetness of added sugar hits the palate first. Soft drink cherry taste with dito mouthfeel. Sugary development which reminds of dextrose. Aftertaste is sligthly acidic, sour, with unpleasant chemical sourness (additive?).
3.1 Bottle, pinkish red with an off white head. Sweet, lots of cherries, almost a if cherry liquor is used, light sourness. Ok.
3.1 Draught @ Rattle&Hum. Dark red with small foamy whitish head, sharp cherry liqeur aroma, sweet cherry taste over caramel background, long sweetish finish. Nice except for the medicinal feeling of its aroma.
3.4 Une bière très fruitée à la robe brillante et à la fine mousse mais l’ensemble est un peu trop écoeurant à mon goût
2.0 Bottle, shared with Sandra in Gronigan. Murky purplish-pink, bubbly pink head-- looks great! Aroma and flavour of straight-up cherry juice, very sweet. Maybe a bit of yeasty undertones, but waaaay to sweet for me to enjoy. Almost like a cherry version of Fruili. Blech.
3.1 Sample at beer bloggers conference, Brussels 2015 super sweet to the extent that base beer obscured, not a fan but daisy enjoyed. Bright scarlet, pinkish head, rich cherry nose, sweet, a little thin, no tartness, a little sharp and acrid, swwet but not cloying just OTT
3.6 Shared 11.2 oz. bottle poured to small snifters, displaying a hazed, reddish copper hue, with a modest layer of white head foam that reduced quickly to a bubbly ring and light film, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was pronounced cherry, somewhat maraschino-like, and tartness. The taste was similar and just as expressive, with a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel, not overly sweet, medium bodied, and lively, but non-fizzy carbonation. Thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was, a tasty, dessert/aperitif-like fruit beer.
2.9 Very fruity. I don’t get the artificial flavors so strongly as some. Pours pink with foamy head and lacing. Light tang in finish but very sweet. I’ve had a lot of fruit beers worse than this. Bottle.
