3.5 From tap at Flying Saucer, Memphis. Aroma is citrussy hops with orange, tangerine, grapefruit, malt, touch of pine and light caramel. Bit sweet and medium bitter flavour, medium body. Bit of a classic oldskool IPA, nice.
3.4 Light golden yellow-orange pour with big foamy white head. Nice juicy citrus grapefruit aroma. Smooth, light, refreshing summer beer. Not watered down, there is some nice flavor there, but it goes down quick.
3.8 12 oz can poured, sent over by Jow. Thanks! I remember running into a Terrapin IPA of some kind a couple years ago while visiting St. Pete, and finally knocked off a rate from Georgia. Wasn't sure how long it would be before trying another offering from these guys, so this is a treat. A bright golden pour with the slightest cloudiness. Tons of foam head. Soft biscuit like malt paired with a gentle bitter citrus hop. A nice, refreshing IPA with a session feel. Reminds me of an all day type beer. Ultimate golf course brew, or extra innings. You know, anything like that. Solid IPA here overall. Wish I had a six pack of this one.
3.7 Memorial Golf Tournament, can. It’s good. Refreshing. Great orange color, outstanding, creamy, white head. A little fuzzy.
3.8 Dark golden, light head, citrus, floral, bit of red, modereltly bitter finish, 8 4 8 4 13
3.1 This is one of those beers you have straight out of the can on a hot day. Slight bitterness, slight sweet. Decent balance
3.3 Purchased in Orlando. Slightly opaque deep orange. No head. Fruity sweet aroma manly mango.
3.1 Great citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit hop bitterness flavor, maybe hints of other citrus flavors also.
3.2 Found in can in a variety pack from Ingles in Franklin, NC. It's enjoyable as a quantity beer. Better as a summer beer.
3.7 Pours a golden yellow with a long-lasting white foam head. Aroma is citrus and floral hops, with very slight notes of tropical fruits. Flavor is citrus up front and floral in the finish. Has good carbonation, crisp. Solid IPA.
2.9 No noticeable aroma. Hazy with a soap lace head. Taste has a bite but balanced, no prominent hops flavor. Sticky and spicy mouthfeel and aftertaste
2.8 Fundamentally, it's a very good drinking session. Only slight hoppy with no outlandish character. Lacking aroma and color. Highly scrubbing bubbles, low malt and only medium hops. Still worth a session if available
3.4 Draft at Lost & Found. Solid IPA, minor hop bitterness in taste and aroma. relatively smooth throughout. More East Coast style
3.6 Medium gold color. Some haze. Small frothy beige head. Grainy malt nose. Hints of citrus and pine. Crisp, dry bitter hops upfront mask a grainy toasted malt backbone. Spicy, bitter hops in middle and finish. More dank citrus and pine as well. Good overall.
4.1 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/2/2018. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, pepper, pine, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.9%. Overall this is an awesome IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink; with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Awesome balanced mix of juicy, dank, and vibrant hop complexity; with a nice bready malt backbone. Loved the hop profile as expected, great showcase of the Zythos, Centennial, Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra hops. A very enjoyable offering.
4.1 Nice, smooth IPA. Love the appearance, and taste isn't far behind. Would definitely buy more if out and about.
2.6 355ml can. Golden pour, white head. Low aroma, touch of diesel. Flavor is basic, some diesel, non-bitter pith, flavorless orange.
3.2 Pint draft at Winking Lizard Macedonia Ohio. Medium white head with some film on glass. Smell the citrus. Golden in color and see the bubbles. Taste some hops and little earthy after taste. Pretty well balanced and drinkable for the style. Overall a decent India pale ale. Cheers!
3.5 Clear amber. Excellent head retention. I watched them pour this but if I didn't know better, I'd wonder if this was the wrong beer. Almost cinnamon in the aroma.
3.5 (Tap) clear, bright yellow colour with a medium tall white head; aroma of grapefruit; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish
3.6 Tasted from a 12oz. can. It poured a clear golden orange hue with a big frothy white head that left only dots of lacing. Airy aroma of lemongrass. Taste is well hopped with a malty backbone and a nice bitter finish. A nice enough IPA, but nothing outstanding about this brew. 🎼 This that high five, yep that fire. Big Snoop Dogg, yeah and I'm gon' die high. Itchy ga ga, you got bush, We got Obama, and we blow kush🎶
3.8 from a 120z can at Winter RBAG 2018. Hazy yellow with a bubbly, soapy white head. Nose - tangerine, orange peels, very zesty and citrusy. Taste - grains and toasted malt, big pithy citrus bitterness. Finishes with a ton of citrus and pith. Good stuff.
3.6 Can to taster. Aroma of grapefruit, spruce, and pine sap. Taste is tropical fruit, crazy bitterness, pine and spruce.
3.5 Somehow the two Sam Adams I drank in fourth quarter willed the Pats to victory but now I’m so amped have to watch a movie and drink more to get to sleep. Fine orange brew. Nose of pine resin and caramel. Tastes of hop oil, pine, orange citrus, candies fruit. Medium bodied and bitterness.
3.5 Can. Golden color, white head. Aroma has hops, some malts. Nice fresh hoppy taste, also some malty sweetness. Decent ipa.
4.9 This is a solid hoppy IPA with not too much alcohol. Like the cans for summer.
3.0 Grapefruit smell... can't see appearance in bottle...taste is on the more bitter side..but not too bad and pretty smooth...good complexity...had at wild wing for first time seeing the blue pickups... Mike danielson's band
3.6 12 ounce can. Clear medium gold color. Small frothy beige head. Grainy malt nose. Hints of citrus and pine. Crisp, dry bitter hops upfront mask a grainy toasted malt backbone. Spicy, bitter hops in middle and finish. More dank citrus and pine as well. Hops dominate this IPA start to finish.
3.2 12oz can from Kroger (Barracks Rd., Charlottesville, VA). Aromas of citrus, kind of dull, and grainy pale malt. Clear orange with a decently lasting white head. Dry, malty, a little more UK-style rather than WC-style. Medium bodied.
3.8 Keg at Varga in Philly. Pours hazy orange gold with a thin white head. Aroma is bitter orange and a hefty pine dankness with some grapefruit. Taste is a big citrus hit of orange and grapefruit with a dank pine hoppiness kicking in which is mellowed a little by a caramel malt backbone. Solid IPA.
