Texels Goudkoppe

Texels Goudkoppe is the top fermented blond craft beer with 6% abv.
It has a smooth bitter finish due to the selected hops. The brewmaster is using the purest ingredients, like dune-filtered water, local malted barley, hops and yeast. Unfiltered and bottle fermented, this beer is a real thirst-quencher. Best served at 4-6 degrees Celsius (39-43 F)

3.1 Fles gedeeld door Inoven, geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitig aroma. De smaak is hoppig en fruitig.

3.5 Het is een texels Goudkoppe maar onmiskenbaar zit hier ook de smaak van hun populaire variant Skuumkoope in. Het is een geel troubel biertje met een witte schuimkraag, wat dat betreft doet het zijn naam eer aan. Het is redelijk romig en heeft hint van gember maar ook banaan in zich. Het biertje eindigt met een gemiddelde tot zachte zoet bitter met een hopje wat in de neus blijft hangen.. Knap gemaakte Belgische Ale al kan ik nooit aan de indruk ontkomen dat ik hier eigenlijk met een wat zwaardere variant van de Skuumkoppe te maken heb. 7-3-7-3-15 Fles XII ‘17 # Origineel glas

3.6 Redelijk licht bier met een lichte smaak, fruitig, beetje zoet, licht bittere afdronk.

3.5 Goudgeel, troebel, witte schuimkraag, voldoende koolzuur. Aroma: Moutig, iets spicy en koriander, gist, karamel en licht fruitig. Smaak: Zeer Moutig, kruidig, iets Citrus, karamel en een scherpe bitter..... netelige hops. Lekker fris , iets zoet en makkelijk drinkbaar. Onder medium body, prikkelig en kruidig maar ook wel zacht mondgevoel. Afdronk is prima bitter... zelfs íets droog.

2.6 From bottle. Light, tiny bit foggy, yellow pour with a steady white head. Aroma is some mild malts and yeasts. Taste is malts and overly sweet for this style I think. Thin body and medium carbo. Not impressed. Next!!

2.4 Tap. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is malty, molasses, fudge. Taste is molasses, brown sugar, malt, syrupy. High carbonation, sweet aftertaste. Meh.

3.1 Keg at the pilsner club. Pours hazy orange, nose is caramel, orange, floral, taste is sweet, chewy caramel, citrus.

3.3 Bottle bought on the island, pours golden with a bit of trub, lightly fruity-sweet nose, smooth texture with a bitter overtone. Nice, and very quaffable.

3.9 Thuis uit fles, kleur eerder geel dan amber. Wit schuim, niet al te dik. Smaak is prima, zoetig en vol. voor herhaling vatbaar.

4.0 Amberkleurig blond biertje van de Texelse bierbrouwerij. Goede afdronk met kleine schuimkraag.

3.0 Licht amberkleurig bier met weinig schuim. Schuim is snel weg. Aroma van citrusvruchten en rood fruit. Smaak is fruitig en hoppig met een vleugje sinaasappel. Nasmaak is iets bitter en blijft even hangen.

3.0 On tap at Stadsbrouwhuis Leiden. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Very light on the esters. Light peach light lemon. Just a bit nothingy. Nowt wrong with it just not very exciting.

2.5 33cl bottle, Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is lager-like with yeast and spice notes. Taste follows nose. This seems more like a lager than a Belgian ale. Not very good

3.2 Aroma: Malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, corn syrup and hops. Appearance: Turbid/opaque yellow/golden beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium white head. Taste/Palate: Medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, corn syrup and hops.

3.3 Agolden blonde beer with a decent white head. A bit of everything, caramel, citrus, hop. Smooth and full taste. Not a killer, but a good beer to drink.

3.8 The beer looks very nice. The color is a combination between gold and amber. The beer has a tiny cloudiness, not that much. The beer pours a decent white foam, which leaves a thin drape. The smell is nice. I smell some almonds, which is nice. There is also an alcohol aroma. I smell some hops, which gives some fresh bitterness. The beer gives a nice full mouth sensation. I taste almond, a nice amount of hop, and some fruits, maybe some banana. There is a nice citrusy sourness. There is also some caramel and something savory sweet, like salty cookie dough. Very nice this beer.

3.8 Op het terras gedronken van de fles. Lekker verfrissend bier. Troebelgouden kleur met mooie witte kraag. Fijne fruitige tonen en wat citrusachtig.

2.9 Many thanks to Andrew for hauling this back to me! Pours an orangish/yellow with some haze and a cream head. The smell is yeast, orange, grain. The taste is mild orange, yeast, sugar sweetness ending fruity. The body is light+ with average carbonation.

2.6 Thanks to Rian for sharing. Sweetish-malty nose. The beer starts fresh, sweetish. Hints of yeasty orange, not too deep. Sweetish fresh, smooth but no bitterness there. Mild-sweetish grainy finish.

2.9 Aroma: Caramel, apple, grainy. Its taste is quite subtle. Grains, banana, caramel, matellic and a bit spicy as well. Mostly sweet with a bitter finish. Quite nice.

Aroma: sweet, bit fruity, peats, apples, bit sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, pears, pretty bitter, hoppy, some banana, yeast. Aftertaste: banana, hoppy, bitter, yeast, dry, bit metallic.

2.9 33cl bottle at a bar, poured a cloudy amber orange colour with a white head. nose of sweet caramel malts, coriander, herbal nose, toffee, raisins, orange peel, yeast chunks, ok,... nothing special

2.6 Bottle mail order from www.slijterijhetfust.nl Pours a hazy amber colour with a medest white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, hoppy and yeasty. Medium on both sweetness and bitterness, has a sherbet mouthfeel with quite a fizzy carbonation, medium body, and a sweet finish.

3.0 Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 15/08/2015, large sample. Almost clear golden color with some debris floating around, short frothy white head. Soft spicy aroma, bit grainy, slight sweet notes, bit flowery. Bit bitter, slight sweet, bit spicy. Decent, but a bit boring.

3.9 Een toch wel verrassend lekker bier. Aanvankelijk zoet. Komt ook een bittertje langs. Prima wanneer je een speciaalbier wil dat niet zo’n hoog alcoholgehalte heeft.

2.9 33cl bottle, got from my sister. Blond beer with a large off-white head. Hoppy aroma, banana, sweets. Taste was way more bitter than I expected. Maybe because it was already for a long time in the cellar.
