Noorderwiend noemen Texelaars de stevige wind uit het noorden die s winters de kou over het eiland blaast. Dit bier wordt speciaal gebrouwen voor de donkere wintermaanden en komt het best tot z’n recht in de intieme sfeer van een knappeend haardvuur. Texels noordenwind is en robuust speciaalbier met volle smaak en zacht fruitbitter van Curaçaoschil. De Brouwers gebruiken uitsluitend natuurlijke grondstoffen,zoals duinwater en Texelse gerstemout

2.5 Amber bier met beperkte witte schuimkraag. Redelijk vlak van smaak. Niets bijzonders

3.2 Voormalig Texels winterbier. 7,5% alchohol. Amber. Vrij zacht en helaas weinig kruidig. Dat maakt hem wat lafjes.

3.2 Amberkleurig bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht kruidig met iets van sinaasappel, kaneel en karamel.

2.8 Hazy brown with an off-white head. Taste has malty components but is generally rather mild, even a bit watery - surprisingly, given its strength.

3.1 Dunkelokar, leichte Krone. Kräftiger karbonisiert, malzig-süßlicher Antrunk, würzig-alkoholisch kandiert im Abgang. Winterlich!

2.3 Deep brown with bigger head. Sweetish.and strong. Could be a classic imperial Pilsner. Alcohol is ruling while malt and some caramel in addition. Mediocre.

2.7 Bruinig bier met een kaki schuimkraag, de geur en de smaak is niet heel erg spannend, citrus, karamel en bitter. Afdronk is vlak en waterig.

3.4 June 2018. 300ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from BeerWulf. 7.5%. Best with the yeast swirled in. I like this. A solid, malty strong beer. Few hops. It's all about the marriage of malt and yeast. It's not excellent or life changing, but it's a tasty malty beer. Quite fruity. Yes. I could knock back a few of these. Quite boozy as well.

3.3 Tap @ Texelse Brouwerij, Oude Schild X 2020. Zoet beetje naar abrikoos. Troebel donker geel biertje met een witte schuimkraag. Fruitig en kruidig met een zachte zoete afdronk. Licht zurige karamel in de nasmaak. Amberkleurig rood met een witte schuimkraag. Niet het prototype winter of herfstbiertje maar past onmiskenbaar in deze koude periode. Origineel glas

3.4 Fles gekregen van Roelzie1986. Het is een helder bruin bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is caramel achtig.

3.5 On tap @ Caspar. A nice opaque orange color, and off white lacing foam head. Clear fruity aroma and soft bitter taste. A good beer. (Arnhem 201802)

3.6 Thuis uit een flesje. Troebele lichtbruine kleur, beige schuim. De smaak is zoetig. Prima, maar niet heel verrassend.

4.2 Echt winter biertje met veel smaak. Zoet en fruitig, zeker niet bitter. Lichte smaak van sinaasappel en karamel.

3.4 Bottle from Jumbo, pours a deep chestnut with a thin head, and aromas of toasted sugar and a little fruity esters. Dry-sweet and toasty, warming alcohol, a hint of spice and cocoa. Like a cross between a Belgian dark ale and a German Winterbock.

3.6 Opnieuw een goed bier uit Oudeschild. De zacht bittere smaak van Curaçaoschil is niet overheersend, maar geeft het geheel een vollere smaak. Flesje gekocht in Den Burg.

3.5 Flesje thuis gedeeld met familie. Amberkleurig troebel bier met weinig geur. Smaak is caramelachtig en zoet. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

3.3 Amberrood, crèmekleurige schuimkraag, iets koolzuur en wazig. Aroma: Moutig, karamel, fruitig, manderijn. Smaak: Behoorlijk zoet, karamel, kruidig en iets scherpte van de curaçaoschil, fruitig, manderijn, citrus tonen, moutig, broodkorst en iets hopbitter. Voor een winterbier nog erg fris. Medium body, zacht mondgevoel, rustig koolzuur. Afdronk is zoet en licht bitter.

2.6 Winterbier van texels. Slappe zoete limonade zoals zo velen van dit soort bieren. Niets speciaals.

3.3 Bottle from a licor store in Hardinxveld, Netherlands. The beer is hazy amber colored and has a stable creamy head with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity with tones of citrus, orange peels, wheat, spices and a lot of alcohol. Taste is light to medium bodied and has a creamy texture with notes of wheat and Orange peels and alcohol and spices which gives a light bitterness. Finish is light bitter and dry, and is shirt with some alcohol. Boring beer, one to forget soon.

3.0 300ml bottle [as ’Winterbier’]. Murky, dark amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Fruity aroma has notes of dried fruit, especially raisin, a touch of alcohol. Taste is moderately sweet malty, minimally sugary, hints of caramel, fruity notes of raisin, dried fruit in general, a touch of alcohol.

3.3 Stor sødme og en del alkohol der prøver af ramme den rigtige fordeling. Det lykkedes rimeligt.

3.5 The beer looks nice. The color of the brew is a reddish amber, with a red glow. The beer pours a decent layer of rough white foam. The bulk collapses only to leave a thin drape. The beer is has some cloudiness. The smell of the beer is nice. I smell a nice sweet and slightly sour yeasty aroma, maybe it has hints of raisins. There is a small fresh hop aroma. The majority of the smell consists of a bittersweet almondy alcohol aroma. The other aromas are quite mild. This almondy thing is also quite present in the taste. Almost the whole taste consists of almondy alcohol. There are some fresh hoppy tones in the beer as well. There is a tiny coffee flavor in the far away distance. All in all the beer is quite nice. It just needs a bit more bit more variety in the flavor.

3.2 Bottle at home, picked up at Van Alsem. Clear dark amber, off-white head. Sweet roasted malts, caramel, sugarcane, chestnut, some spices, fruity notes, gumball. Over moderate sweet with fruity (light)bitterness. Body is medium, mouthfeel is good, with nice carbonation. A lot of bock-like characteristics but without the typical dry finish and leaflike bitterness.
