3.2473ml can @ Trillium park. CANBIF 2018 Spring, thanks darcyk. Pours an opaque black with a decent brown head. Nose is a mix of roasted malts with light notes of dark fruits. Flavour is roasted malts with an intense bitterness, ashy and charred, with a hint of sourness. Full bodied, decent carbonation, low sweet, and very bitter. Too much for my liking.
3.7Tap@MBCC 2018 Red Session, Copenhagen - black pour with a tan head. Roasted and sweet malty with chocolate, caramel, some coffee roast, medium body, some ashy charred malty notes, sweet and roasted finish.

4.1Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Red Session. Aroma has sweetish roasted malt, wood and grains. Taste is bitter, roasty, resiny and really hoppy. Leans more towards an imperial black IPA.
3.612May2018 Intense coffee, dark roast filter, burnt toast. Hazy, very dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Medium bitter. More burnt toast, dark roast, bitter filter coffee, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright, very burnt. Keg at MBCC18 Red Session, Copenhagen.
3.9Sample @ MBCC Red Session, Copenhagen 20180512. Roasted malty and hoppy with coffee, sweet, has a bitter finish.
4.0Thanks to Metalchopz for picking this up at the brewery. Pours a massive frothy, creamy brown head and has a dark brown, blackish appearance. Great retention. Moderate carbonation. Big dirty lacing. Aromas of dark roasted malts, coffee, cocoa nibs, earthy and herbal notes. Flavours are somewhat on the sweeter side, lots of chocolate and cocoa notes, roasted malt, coffee. A fair amount of herbal and earthy hops appear in the finish. Some subtle bitterness on the palate but is well balanced with sweetness. Smooth, slick and slightly slightly astringent mouthfeel. Goes down extremely well. Overall, pretty damn good.
4.1MBCC. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - citrus and pine. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 120518

From can at MBCC 2018, green session.
Black body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of roast, coffee, dark bread, soy sauce, tobacco, cocoa powder, some citric hops.
Tastes quite similar, while hoppier, almost like a Black IPA.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, medium roasty, hoppy, citric, with coffee, cocoa powder, soy sauce, tobacco.
Very nice. Surprisingly hoppy in the taste, almost like a BIPA. Otherwise a quite old-school, straight, robust Imperial Stout, with dominant roast notes. Not outstanding and I enjoyed their Luscious more, but still really enjoyable.

2.812.05.2018, 1 pint can @ MBCC:
Nice light brown slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, deep dark pour. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, burnt toast, pine needles, dark malts, dark sugar, hops, licorice, sour coffee, bark, minerals. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, burnt toast, burnt coffee, weeds, bark, ashes, dark malts, hay, minerals, pine needles, cocoa, alcohol. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough.
3.6Can at MBCC 2018. Pours black. Roasted, coffee, peat, dark chocolate. Roasted character.
4.0Sample from the can at MBCC2018, Copenhagen. Color is dark brown with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Very nice hoppy roasty stout.
4.2473ml can @ MBCC 2018. Sticky sweet, roasty and really hoppy stout with some lingering bitterness, grass, pine, herbal notes and chocolate. Like a sweeter and stickier version of one of my all time favorites (Plevnan Siperia)
4.016 oz can. Pours a pitch black color and topped by a thick tan colored head of foam that shows great retention and slowly recedes to a thin film that sits atop the body and leaves streaks of lace all around the glass. This is the darkest color of black I've seen on a stout in a long time. Looks amazing in the glass. The aroma is really nice too showing notes of bitter dark chocolates, earthy roasted coffee, some toasted caramel, a touch of ash, black patent malts, and waves of resinous, bitter piney and grassy hops. The flavor follows suit with the bitter dark chocolate and earthy roasted coffee right up front to go with the dark and toasted caramel malts, and a hint of ash and molasses sweetness while the grassy and piney hops add a big hop bitterness bite on the back end. Nearly full bodied and smooth with ample carbonation that leads to a mostly dry, bitter, acrid dark chocolate finish with lingering piney hop and resins on the finish. Really solid and tasty imperial stout, but definitely on the bitter side, and maybe a touch too bitter for me. Still a really solid offering from the Alchemist.
3.6Definitely some oxidation going on here. Some honey and spices in he taste. Rap stones and cocoa. Tastes of honey, spices, cocoa, lots of roastiness
3.6Draft at Stone Liberty Station. Pours opaque dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Tastes like dark chocolate, mild booze, roasted coffee, and earth. Medium body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like dark chocolate, roasted malt, mild booze, and earth.
3.9Can from the brewery. Pitch dark colour with a big creamy cap, mocha-coloured, very long lasting with some nice creamy lacing. Fresh hoppy nose over the roasted malts with notes of chocolate, coffee and molasses. The taste starts off with the burnt malts and coffee, going through some nice grassy hops to end with the mild molasses, hints of dark chocolate. The bitterness seems to intensify at every sip. Alright, stays straight after a while. Quite smooth Imperial Stout with some nice bite from the hops.
3.7Tap at Stone event. Pours deep, dark brown. Aroma and flavor are dark chocolate, espresso, spice, earthy bitterness, and some woody notes. Medium/full body.
