3.4Aromas of orangey citrus, floral. Mostly clear orange with a fairly white head. Dry, citrusy. Medium bodied.
4.112 oz. bottle from Jungle Jims without a bottle date, so hoping this is reasonably fresh. Aroma: Moderate to strong clementine peel with hints of pine and/or herbaceous hop character; malts are very light, semi-sweet cereal. Appearance: Transparent honey gold with slow, plentiful carbonation holding up sticky tan head that settles into a sticky skin. Flavor: Big citrus with herbaceous notes that are not negligible; malts are minimized with only a whisper of sweetness that dies away quickly; pretty bitter and dried up in the finish. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Definitely an exemplary, standout IPA. Probably not something Id drink everyday, but ideal for hopheads, and that occasional hop fix for the rest of us.
3.9Bottle in Cleveland. Hazy dark yellow with small white head and good lacing. Packs a big citrus punch, with plenty of hop bitterness. Well balanced. Feels like a west coast ipa. Good .
3.7Straw yellow color with a white soapy head. Aroma of pineapple, orange, and passion fruit. Tropical fruit flavor with some biscuit and slight bitterness. Very flavorful and well-balanced.
3.4Bottle. Nose obviously dry and resinous, lots of pith and tropical citrus peel. Pour rich golden-orange, opaque with a short soapy beige head. Taste is strongly bitter but not excessively so, caramel is strong but dulled, more like biscuit/dough, but citrus is bright and shimmers around the edges. Pine and this wonderful tropical musk, not the more known like mango, but a bit leafier. Pilsner-like malt underneath (tad grainy) but it’s clear the the malt has mostly been abandoned. Clean full body crisp and refreshing, bright. Enjoyed this one, but have to admit to disappointment given the surprise hype. [2016.08.25: 3.4]
3.8Bottle. Deep amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, orange peel, resin, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Fluffy mouthfeel. Inviting nose. Nice balance between citrus and resin. Clean.
3.9At the Bspot. Amber color thin thin head. Mild orange citrus hops that finishes with a sharp tang. Refreshing citrus mouth feel

4.0Pint at the Winking Lizard Cleveland
Slightly hazy orange amber with a decent tightly bubbled off white head that persists. citrus and tropical with plenty of pine and a bit of biscuity malt to counter. Pretty tasty.
3.8on tap at Knotty Pine Brewing Company in Columbus; clear, amber color; nice, citrusy hop aroma; nice citrus hop flavor on a very light malt base
3.8Bottle from Rabbott, undated but fresh, drunk 3/25/16.
Clear golden, light amber body is well-carbonated and topped by a large white head showing good retention.
The nose is full of both herb and fruit, with some light candied citrus somewhat sweetening/balancing things and light pineapple and mango for juiciness. Cracker and biscuit like malts remain in the background while no heavy resin appears, nor alcohol. Definitely not a juice bomb and quite West Coast, as they say. Much more austere than the average NE IPA, but still very well-executed.
Soft, malty texture with creamy carbonation kicks things off the right way, with light biscuit and grain balancing lemon, candied orange and dry mango/pineapple. Light mint-like herbal suggestions add some complexity and it finishes with apricot-orange and medium bitterness. No resin or alcohol.
3.9From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Grapefruit aroma. Favors of adoring orange and tropical fruits. Bitter finish.
3.612oz bottle huge thanks to Ed5388. Poured an orange body with a foamy off white head. Aroma of rotting citrus, wet dough, lemon skin, crusts, brown bread and grassy hops. Flavor is similar, hops seem older, more earthy and grassy than citrus or pine. Full body, slightly creamy, average carbonation. Not sure if this is an old bottle or people are just overrating this.
4.1A very nice citrusy IPA with a surprisingly dry finish for a Midwest pale. I like this. It’s pretty bitter.
4.3A long lost whale finally obtained, oh thank you oh so much, Drew!
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy but mostly transparent soft golden color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated gently. Leaves a messy lacing all around.
The smell had a lush sweet citrus hops up front allowing a delicate sweet malt underneath.
The taste was fully bittersweet with an added sweet grassy sweetness roaming underneath. Light sticky citrus aftertaste. Semi-dry sweet citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a solid sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good allowing a nice bitterness to hit appropriately.
Overall, whale slain, and totally worthy of having again, a top notch AIPA that I know I would have again if I could ever get my hands on again.
4.2Pours a light gold with white head. Has a strong citrus/floral hop bomb aroma. A strong citrus hope taste with floral notes, pine, and sweet honey. A bitter hop aftertaste but not overwhelming as some citrus, pine and honey also linger.
4.3Nice fruity juicy citrus IPA. Grapefruit Orange dank hop scent and flavor. Delicious.??
3.9Clear gold, white head. Nose is orange, pine, some melon, strawberry, some alcohol, a little clay like malt. Flavor is pine, light astringency mingling with orange pith, honey, melon. Solid lingering bitterness.
3.512 oz bottle from a trade a while ago, since I have a ton of IPAs to drink. The pour is a nice light golden orange, a bit foggy, with a nice white head and some nice lace. The aroma is a lighter tropical fruit that is well balanced. There is a nice sweet, not bitter, hop that shows up without any of the resounding resin and bitter. The flavor is a little lacking. It's got a nice fruitiness to it, but there isn't a big punch here. I'd like to see some more pine or resin. But the fruits are pretty good. The mouth feel is a bit syrupy and a little undercarbonated. The aftertaste is lingeringly sweet tropical fruit.
3.9Draft. Clear gold color, strong bright and floral aroma, very fresh. Medium body. Very good ipa
3.3Bottle shared with Art. Poured murky brown with respectable white head. Aroma piney citrus dank. Light carb med bod. Tastes dank alcohol booze pine.
4.0Pours a clear pale orange yellow with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and tangerine. Taste is medium bitterness with a clean finish. Well done and unexpected.
3.9Bottle@home, from WineSpot, Cleveland, USA. Medium slightly sweet flowery aroma with mango, but with a hint of citrus making it fresh. There’s also a bit of malts in aroma. Copper color and small white head. Slightly hazy liquid. Medium taste with American sweetness and some English bitterness like combination of fresh and overage mango. Medium balanced. Medium taste spectrum and long hoppy aftertaste with sweet malts. Medium body with medium/low carbonation. Overall very nice balance of sweet and bitter notes makes this fresh and delicious. A bit more balance and its perfect.
3.8Tasted from a 12 oz. bottle. It poured a hazy golden hue with an off white head and minimal streaky lacing. It had a citrus hop aroma, with a slightly bitter top and a semisweet hopped bottom. A refreshing little number.
3.5I had it out of a bottle, it pours a murky orange hue with a thin White head. The aroma reminds me of some skanks I knew in high school, nuff said. I found the taste bitter and fruity, a weird combo. It’s awright, a bit more like White Trashy Rajah
4.0bottle poured into a tulip..hazy gold with a fluffy white head..aroma of citrus,pine,florals,resin..tastes of grapefruit,caramel,florals,orange peel..
nice mouthfeel..good stuff.
3.7Bottle thanks to Jsquire. Hazy bright orange with large foamy off-white head, floral hops aroma with citrus peel, low carbonation bitter citrus peel taste with hops predominance, medium bitter finish. Strong in citrus, balanced hoppiness.
4.6This is a full flavored very hoppy beer with a great finish. You can taste the Citra hops that must be in it. It's really one of my favorite beers.
3.2Pours a hazy dark gold color. Thin white head with some sticky lacing. Tropical fruit hop aroma. A sweet and malty start . A bit of grapefruit and mild pithy bitterness in the finish.
4.1White Rajah has a medium, white head, a semi-opaque, orange-gold appearance, some bubbles, and not so heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of very citrus-type hop oil and white bread, and the flavor is of the same, with citrus rind and pith. It is not too bitter or sugary. Mouthfeel is medium, and White Rajah finishes mostly dry and mild. RJT
4.4Wowza! This is a tasty treat. Huge citrus bouquet in the aroma and a nice smooth body with a pleasant bitter finish. It is well balanced and crisp and isn’t too boozy for a beer that is almost 7%. I really like it - may be one of my very favorite IPAs.
