3.8 Lucky Bamboo Bottle share. Pours a thick, deep brown with almost no head. Lots of chocolate brownie, fudge and syrupy rum raisin cake notes. Thick and viscous on the palate, somehow no trace of booze. Vanilla sweetness as it warms. Dangerously drinkable, even with the sweetness.
4.3 Boozy as all hell, as chocolate covered raisins and prunes finish with a spicy pepper bite along with the heat, lingering with lingering vanilla nuances. Medium bodied.
4.6 Puur zwart. Fijne mokkakleurige schuimkraag. Volop chocolade, koffie, cacao. Lange warme afdronk. Tinteling op het tandvlees. Abv zit redelijk goed verstopt. Gevaarlijk bier. Té lekker.
2.8 2016 Syrop klonowy, rodzynki i kokos w aromacie, ładnie pachnie. W smaku niestety tragedia. Kawa zalana spirytusem.
4.3 W aromacie dużo czekolady i pralin. W smaku słodkie, umiarkowanie palone. podobny do Mocha Wednesday, aczkolwiek lepiej ułożony i deserowy. Jak na taki voltage świetne piwo
4.1 It should be praised that beer with such a high abv is so drinkable. But as well as Black Tuesday it is quite harsh in the long run. Cocoa and dark fruit with a cognac like aftertaste (maybe due to abv). Respect.
4.1 Rami Rami is drinking a Chocolate Rain (2016) by The Bruery at Saska Kępa Lepsze od wednsday a paleta podobna. Nadal ciut za mlode. Ale paleta migdalowo kandyzowana super, figi... fajne cialo syropowe. 4.3 na luzie Rami Rami is drinking a Chocolate Rain (2016) by The Bruery at Craft Beer Muranów - Piwny Świat Fajowskie. W uscie. Nie w aromacie. Z 3.9? Za stare kapke chyba juz, bo nieco papierowe jakies klimaty. Duzo jakiejs owocowosci. usrednie sobie
4.4 Piwo rozwala od początku do końca. Intensywny aromat kakao, mlecznej czekolady, silne nuty waniliowe. Generalnie klasa.
2.9 [edit 04.06.2018] Drugie spotkanie i totalna wódczana tragedia. Słodka czekolada, wanilia, kakao, czerwone suszone owoce. Całość przypomina deser czekoladowy. W smaku potężne, słodkie. Mus czekoladowy, wanilia, melasa, suszone owoce (figi, daktyle). Alkohol ułożony, nie męczy. Deser w płynie. Cudo!
4.5 Pitch black, no head. Milk chocolate bomb! cocoa, vanilla, pralines, dark fruits, plum, cherry, bourbon barrel, coconut, almonds, cookies. Incredibly sweet and heavy bodied. Some alcohol, but considering 19,5% very well hidden. Best among three versions of Black Tuesday (Chocolate Rain, Grey Monday, Mocha Wednesday)
4.5 2017: Dark brown, no head, tense and sticky. Aroma: chocolate, vanilla, cherries, dry fruits; very complex. Full body, very sweet. Taste: molasses, dry fruits, cherries, plums, chocolate. Alcohol present, but acceptable. Very complex. 2019: unfortunately quite a lot of alcohol, but still great
4.7 Rating #2546 - 2016.05.05 - Draught at Bruery event at Bainbridge Street Barrel House in Philly. Black as 48% of a roulette wheel with a tan head that caps nicely. Aroma is sweet cocoa, vanilla bean, booze, espresso, molasses. Taste is a rich, decadent chocolate sweetness, with some vanilla, earth, and bourbonesque notes. Utterly drinkable at 19.5%. Astounding.
3.7 Bottled. Pours clear, cola brown with no head. Loads and loads of chocolate and vanilla, light red berries. Heavily boozy. Chocolate liquer. Sweet, boozy and heavy on the chocolate.
4.2 Tiny pour, from a bottle at a tasting / bottle share on 4-1-17. Pours a dark amber to medium brown with a small amount of beige head. Chocolate-covered raisin and plum scents. Boozy aroma. Delicious, sweet, fruity taste features flavors of prune, raisin, chocolate, almond, and Zinfandel red wine. Alcohol heat in the palate. Full body. The best of the approximately dozen beers I tried during the tasting. Memorable and really tasty.
4.0 Bit more flavorful than bl.tuesday, creamier, but still not too thick, I think it could or should be thicker... This is very boozy, i could only enjoy the first few sips. Once warmed up a bit more, the alcohol smell bites my nose, that is not a good thing.. Vanilla, caramel, cherry like notes, and peanut aftertaste - these things are good though
4.0 Tasted from bottle. Pours dark brown/black with minimal head. Aroma is dark chocolate and vanilla. Moderate bitterness with alcohol burn on the finish. Flavors of cacao and vanilla, bourbon, toffee, caramel and maple. Huge beer and very dangerous.
4.3 This one is a monster. I had a sample courtesy of the great Matt Kibbe at LibertyCon 2017 in Prague. Notes of noble alcohol, rum, raisins, mix with a lot of wooden vanilla flavors. Boozy, monstrous, with a helluva chocolate and dark brown notes. Definitely an amazing beer.
4.7 (The Bruery Chocolate Rain) Bottle 750ml at home. Served into a snifter, ABV 18.4% Dark brown to black coloured body, small dark brown head on top, kind of thin, with low retention. The aroma has bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, fudge, chocolate cake. Taste is intense chocolate, fudge, chocolate cake, vanilla, nice bourbon notes, cocoa, alcohol. Thick body with soft carbonation. Sticky palate. Just amazing.
3.5 It was...okay. I mean, it smelled nice, chocolate and vanilla and oak, but man, you can taste every bit of that 19.5%. Nice chocolate flavor, but it ends being too sweet and boozy.
3.9 750ml bottle 2013 vintage pours viscous oily black with barely any head. Nose and taste are super sweet, sugary rich chocolate brownie batter, big roasty char and some smokey notes, hints of licorice, boozy, some vanilla, dark fruity chocolate, finishes cloyingly sweet, sticks to the mouth.
4.2 Bottleshare. Chocolate (duh!), vanilla, dark fruit, prune, figs, raisins, dates. Very fullbodied, its boozy but in a good way, its very nice hotness.
4.1 For all the hype Black Tuesday has and the fact that I really didn’t enjoy it one bit, I thought this was great. Hid the booze surprisingly well as opposed to Black Tuesday and the vanilla gives it a nice rounded sweetness rather than a sugar driven kind of gritty sweetness. Like a high concentrate bitter dark chocolate dessert
4.5 Deep cola brown hue with a fast dissipating head. Big boozy and chocolaty vanilla aroma with a tinge of oak. Big Porter flavors of roasted earthy sweet chocolate and a big bit of boozy caramel, oak, and loads of vanilla. Veluptuous and sweet and boozy and complex.
4.3 Black, no head, aroma of chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, coconut, wood, whiskey, caramel, toffee, coffee, fruity, flavor of chocolate, coffee, whiskey, brandy, sherry, vanilla, coconut, wood, fun, full bodied.
5.0 Pour is an almost Crystal still black with a tiny ring of tan. Smell of leather, smoke, chocolate, prune, fruit, dark fruit cake, and dense muffin. Taste follows, chocolate gooey fruity muffin, huge butter and caramel notes. Deep and balances with ample boozyness
3.7 750 ml bottle most recently shared with drsordr and Corey, but have had a few times earlier. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big, sweet malts, dark fruit, raisins, prunes, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, viscous mouthfeel, very sweet, boozy, in small amounts this is ok, but that is about it.
4.1 2012 bottle pours a clearish reddish dark brown with no real head. The nose is chocolaty, some raisins and dark fruits and bourbony too. The taste is very rich with boozy chocolate and warm sweetness. Aftertaste is dry and sweet and pretty boozy. Amazing beer that I have great love for.
3.6 Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour dark cola brown with minimal tan head. Nose huge booze, rum soaked raisin, molasses, fig and prune. Taste molasses and maple syrup, figgy jam, and candy. Cloying sweet that actually hides the 19.5% very Port like.
