3.9 Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - sourced from a European online bottle shop. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds dry chocolate, roasted malts, hearty coffee. Medium sweet flavour with nicely rounded chocolate character, some scorched earth bitterness, cocoa beans. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Moderately warming in the finish, with some ashy roast, bitter coffee, baking cocoa. Quite solid overall.
3.8 Fekete szín, vékony hab. Kávés illat. Csokoládés, karamelles, kávés ízvilág, nemi gyümölcsös édességgel párosítva. Finom volt.
3.8 Sweet, dark chocolate, cacao, dark moist pralines, intense cacao, espresso. Hazy, dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. More dark, roasted coffee, dark, toasted, burnt, dark malts, soft carbonation, full bodied. Decent. Bottle shared at L42 tasting - thanks to Leighton!
3.9 Bottle at L42 - cheers Leighton! It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, toasty grain, vanilla, oak, cookie dough, rich booze, oily action and coffee grounds. The taste is slick, oily bitter - sweet, earthy roasted coffee, rawness, toasted nut, charred notes, coffee cake, spice, raw booze, earth, spice and a touch of dark chocolate. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Actually a bit lighter duty than expected. Excessive, but good fun.

4.0 Tap at St. Augustine's. Nice chocolate nose, vanilla, coffee. Spicy cocoa flavor, milky, coffee, good. Spicy, prickly finish. Not huge coffee, more chocolate malts. Some ginseng notes too.
3.5 Courtesy of Brian Black color, small beige head. Some generic coffee aroma, and some alcohol perception, light glue, tar. Smooth mouthfeel, the body is not too thick; some flavor of dark caramel with a touch of cocoa, the alcohol is too strong, the coffee is mild, the final is lightly earthy. I’m ok drinking some big Imperial Stout, but this one is boozy and lacks of grace.
4.6 Opaque black color with a thin head of soft creamy dark tan foam. Rich mocha macchiato aroma. Chewy, full-bodied texture with intense and smooth dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Some smokiness lingering in between. Pleasant finish that isn’t burnt or dry.
4.2 (Bottle) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of coffee, vanilla; intense, balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; thick palate
3.7 750 mL bottle pour, thanks to Matt. Coffee explosion. As expected. Jet black pour. Some chocolate as well, but more of an afterthought. Strong, but not quite as intense as I figured it would be. A bit of a "green" coffee flavor for me. Hot finish. Very fun try.
4.4 Rating #2534 - 2016.05.05 - Sample from @thebruery team. Pours jet black with a weak tan head that caps nicely. Aroma is heavy roast malt and dark roast coffee grounds, molasses, Taste is heavy on roast malt and coffee flavours, pronounced sweetness, well bittered.
3.8 Bottle in Seattle. Soapy thick tan foam, heavy and wet darkest brown body. Sits heavy and shiny. Sweet and boozy nose, a mix of cola and roast coffee. Sip is relatively mellow, but with plenty of booze to back it up. Low in sweetness, which surprises me a little, with a bitter roast bean and cocoa that is a great backdrop. Not a hell of a lot of complexity to this. Drinks fine, booziness catches up with you quick though. Bitter rich roast. Pretty nice.
4.0 Bottle, 750 ml from Beergium. Shared with rest of the crew. Pours black with medium beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, sweet, bit sticky, some bitterness in finish. Full bodied.
3.5 Thnx to Kurt. Shared at the beerlovers bar 1 y anniversary party. Pours very dark brown, no real head. Smell is thick, roasty malts, roasted coffee. Taste is sharp, coffee, bit bitter, some green beans as well (?) Bit boozy, mild carbo over a rather dense mouthfeel. Nice, but would have loved more smoothness and complexity

3.9 Pours a deep rich black pour. Hints of cocoa and espresso beans. Typical imperial stout taste. Difference is that it has a great body. Great!
3.9 Bottle. Aroma- clear, coffee notes dominate, then comes sweet chocolate. Black, unclear, with a good-looking, beige head, which quickly reduces to a ring. Taste- distinct coffee, with a medium sourness. Nice roastiness, dark chocolate, subtle red fruits and some disturbing alcohol in the aftertaste. Medium-full-bodied, with a minimal carbonation. Tasty RIS, but I expected a bit more after the aroma.
4.0 (The Bruery Share This: Coffee) Bottle 750ml at the Anticarnaval tasting. Dark brown colour on the body Aroma of coffee, chocolate, coffee grounds, alcohol. Taste also of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. Medium to thick body with soft carbonation. Really good.
3.6 Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque nearly black pour. Light brown thin ring. Solid liquorice espresso dark coffee with splayed lactic notes. Ultimately sharp, sweet and bitter. Celery, mocha, coming up the base. Nice mix.
2.4 Aroma: boozy, coffee, more booze, chocolate Taste: medium sweet, boozy, coffee, some chocolate
3.8 Bottle 750ml. Black with light brown, short head. Coffee is the main note in aroma but only at the beginning. Later there is more chocolate and note of the booze. Sweet in taste with chocolate character and big note of booze which burns in the throat and warms inside. Full body but a bit spicy because of quite big booze.
