The Bruery Share This: O.C.

Share This: OC is a rich, imperial stout infused with orange-chocolate flavors. It’s a profile we’re quite fond of, given the abundance of orange trees in our own backyard. Food Forward takes it one step further - reaching over 100,000 people a month throughout eight counties in Southern California (including Orange County) with recovered fresh fruits and vegetables that would normally go to waste from backyard fruit trees, public orchards, farmers markets and the downtown Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. To achieve the orange-chocolate flavor profile in this beer, we use orange zest, vanilla and TCHO cacao nibs. For every bottle we produce, Food Forward receives one dollar.

4.1 Czarne z ciemnobrązową pianą. Słodki, "amerykański" aromat. Brownie, ciasteczka, wanilia, kakao, orzechy.
4.0 Piękny, intensywnie czekoladowy i waniliowy aromat. W smaku uber gładkie, kakaowe i kawowe. Zest pomarańczowy współgra na drugim planie dając odczucie dobrego ciasta czekoladowego. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Wspaniałe piwo, bardzo "beczkowe" w odczuciu, choć w żadnej beczce nie leżakował. Klasa.
3.9 On tap at Lunar Brewing Co. dispensed to a snifter displaying a black/brown hue, with a finger's width of brownish tan froth, and wavy lacing. The nose was roasted, slightly earthy, cocoa, a touch of vanilla, with esters as dark fruit/plum, and a bit of candied orange. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was similar notes, presenting slight tartness, booze, and some roasted & earthy bitterness. Rich & flavorful. Consistent Bruery offering.
4.3 Pours opaque coffee with a fair buff head. Aroma presents roast malt, citrus, funky hops and semi-sweet chocolate notes. Flavor gives chocolate, orange, roast malt and funky hops. Texture yields firm, smooth body and fair fizz. Share this!
4.1 Bottle @ DØE. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee, rich dark chocolate, vanilla, little sweet citrus, orangepeel. Flavor is sweet and light bitter, rich malty, caramel, rich bitter dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, little orangepeel, light alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet and light bitter finish with light warming alcohol. 160119
4.0 Aromat czekolady, pomarańczy, kakao i wanilii. W tle paloność i alkohol. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana, beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, umiarkowanej wielkości i podobnie trwała. Smak słodki, z lekką kwaskową kontrą od ciemnych slodow i alkoholem. Dalej czekolada, melano, pomarańcze, wanilia, kakao. Dość przyjemne w odbiorze. Goryczka słodowo-alkoholowa, w okolicach średniej, adekwatna. Pełnia wysoka, wysycenie średnie i kakaowo- palona końcówka z nutą alkoholową rozgrzewającą przełyk. Szału nie ma, ale i tak solidne piwo.
4.0 Black colour with brown head (small nice bubbles). Aroma - biscuit, caramel, chocolate with marshmellow, plums, vanilla and orange in background. Taste - chocolate malt with a little orange. Creamy and sliky with nice medium carbonation. I would rather have a glass of this beautiful beer than a cake :)
4.2 Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, boozy hints. Taste: Chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, fudge and vanilla. Hints of orange zest. Over medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to medium sweet and bitter. Bittery palate at finish. Good balance and complexity. Very enjoyable.
3.8 With Audrie, Zach and Brandon, pours a dark black pour with a nice ephemeral mocha head. Nose is dark malt, java and light citrus. Taste is rich vanilla, mocha with a silky smooth texture. Finishes on the same tasting notes with short finish. Well done ! Quaff Score 7 / 10
3.8 Bomber. Pours blakc with a brown head and aroma of roasted malt and vanilla. Taste is of vanilla up front, with orange coming through along with roasted malt and chocolate into the sweet vanilla finish.
4.3 Team vleesch tasting, Putten. Bottled from Drinks&Gifts. Beautiful blend of flavors, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, roast, and orange. Very nice.
4.1 2017 bottle. Appearance is oily black, a big dark brown head which quickly settles into some beige bubbles. Aroma- chocolate, orange hints, roast malt, vanilla, leather, coffee, cocoa powder, whisky fudge. Taste- chocolate, rich coffee, ashy roast, caramel, toasty roast malt, chocolate sauce, smooth and slick mouthfeel, hint of chocolate orange. Very nice.
4.2 (orange douce-choco-vanille (ads), onctuo-cacaotée, fruité-zest, fin cream, last-rétro cacao-malt, µ-menthe)
4.1 Aus der Flasche (Edition 2017) im 2018-09 getrunken. Der Einsatz bei der O.C. (Orange County) Edition von der "Share This:" Reihe wurde u.a. mit Orangen ergänzt, was man dezent aber merklich erkennen kann. Was will man von The Bruery auch erwarten dieses IStout als ein richtig tolles Bier,

3.6 Bottle picked up from The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, London and consumed at End of the Road Festival, Larmer Tree Gardens., Dorset and Wiltshire borders, Sunday 2nd September 2018. Pours black with a slim beige head, some wafts of orange on the nose, lots of chocolate and a little hit of vanilla (all of this present in the mouth also. Smooth, really pleasant Impy but no world beater. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
3.9 Oily, black colour with a small, creamy tan head. Aroma is heavy malty with some raisins, plenty of orange, some chocolate. Sweet, syrupy and malty flavour, orange and dark chocolate in the finish, slightly bitter. Medium body, low medium carbonation, rich and smooth mouthfeel.
4.1 Earthy aroma, dates, some weak orange. Pitch black color with medium sized brown head. Lots of vanilla and strong milk chocolate taste. Medium body, soft carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden both in aroma and taste, but there is slight burn in aftertaste.
4.3 Pours a dark brown with a quickly-dissipating tan foam head. Aroma is chocolate, toffee, caramel, vanilla, and hints of orange. Flavor is similar, with some notes of char roast mixed in - more on the sweet side. Has a lot of carbonation, leaving this less smooth than most imperial stouts and less full-bodied. The flavors are very well-balanced. Excellent beer.
3.9 Big bottle from Beergium, shared. Flavor of chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, alcohol, cocoa and some orange, mandarin and tropical fruitiness. Medium body, even feels a bit inconspicuously light for the ABV, distinct bitterness to balance the sweetness and alcohol. A bit different but enjoyable Imperial Stout, well-crafted overall.
3.7 Shared bottle from 2016 with joe. Don’t remember where I got it. Nose is smoke and cocoa and dark sugars. Alcohol smells heavy and it doesn’t hide well. Pour near black with bit of dark brown. Body is thinner than I’d expect. Decent pepper and cocoa in there but prefer bomb a lot more. This would be better if thicker body and heavier.
3.6 Bottle split at Kennys CPH fart dungeon, thanks to Ken, 10/05/18. Black with a big old dirty tan cap. Nose is mellow roast, spice, chocolate, fruit rinds. Taste comprises sweet malts, brown sugar, chocolate orange, light spice, dates, raisins, toffee melt. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming boost in the close. Ok impy but lacks depth.
3.7 Panel The Bruery w Strefie Piwa. Piana szybko znika do zera. W aromacie intensywna gorzka czekolada, kakao, wanilia. Skórka pomarańczy raczej bardzo subtelnie. W smaku jest odczuwalnie słodko - moc gorzkiej czekolady, kandyzowana pomarańcz, trochę słódów palonych, lekko kwaskowy finisz. Suchy posmak kakao. Alko super ukryte. Zbalansowany, deserowy ris, na szczęście nie przegięto z dodatkami.
3.9 Bottle 750ml @ yngwie Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, orange, alcohol and vanilla. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, cocoa, chocolate and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
4.4 Pours black, medium tan head, some lacing. Awesome aroma of chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. Tastes roasty and sweet, dark malts, cocoa, orange peel, vanilla and caramel. Full body, soft carbonation, slick and sticky, long finish. Great, rich brew.
3.5 Bottle shared at Ken’s hotel room, Copenhagen - Black pour with tan head. Dark malty with some dark sweet roasted malty notes, medium to full bodied, dark malty close.
3.7 10May2018 Dark chocolate, cacao, dark chocolate cake, bitter, dark roast coffee, burnt toast. Hazy, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More bitter chocolate, cacao, burnt toast, charred chocolate biscuit, soft carbonation, full bodied. Surprisingly unsweet, but alright. Bottle shared in Copenhagen - thanks to madmitch76!
2.9 10th May 2018 Hotel tasting. Imperial Hotel. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, thin and dry. Fair bit of spice in the mid. Dry bitterish dark malts. Modest orange peel and marmalade. Light dry spicy finish. Quite dry and unsweet for Bruery. Stick with what you know guys!
3.7 THT May - Kermis Leaving. Shared from bottle. Black with tan head. Sweet chocolate malts, nutella, hazelnut cappuccino. Full body and soft carbonation. Big boozy dance party going on.
