A medium bodied beer with a lovely tawny copper or bronze color. This brew emphasizes malt complexity with layered caramel malt flavors.

3.3Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Malt aroma. Malt and light citrus aroma. Medium bodied. Malt and citrus lingers.
3.0355 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber/red colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma is toasty malts, caramel. Taste is same. It’s ok.
3.0Rich amber/cider color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of caramel malt, & floral hops; Flavor of slight roasted malt, caramel, hops, and some nuts; On the lighter side - decent.
3.112oz bottle, purchased from Habersham in Savannah on 2/23/15. Notch on the bottle indicates that this is best by 1/2015. Clear orange red color. Finger of khaki head. Leaves good thicker lace, and has good head retention. Caramel malt, toasty. Not bad, considering it’s age. Just a touch of metallic, and some mustiness in the nose. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft light to moderate carbonation. Light slick texture. Moderate sweet taste, good light bitter. Solid stuff. Good to enjoy with my left over pizza. I bet it’s great fresh.
3.3Dark orange, resin hops, long mildly bitter finish. Decent but not memorable.
2.8Aromas are of faint piney hops, a little apple fruitiness. Clear amber, white head is somewhat lasting. Subtle hops, some bready malts. Light-medium bodied.
4.3Readish color with a deep malt flavor that has a bit of caramel with it. It decent beer but not their specialty.
3.7A: Clear copper with a half finger of beige foam. Busy carbonation. Short retention with good lacing.
S: English hops and toffee. Smells delicious!
T: Toasted malts with a mild but tasty hop bite coming in. Much like the smell. Not very complex but I think it’s very tasty indeed.
M: On the lighter side of medium body. Still busily bubbling but I like the tingle. Medium length chewy finish.
O: A pretty tasty refreshing amber overall and easily available in my area at very good $9/6 prices. Worth buying again.
3.5Bottled. Orange brown pour. Bit of biscuits malt. Caramel. Mild finish. OK but not spec
3.2bottle. deep amber with small head. strong caramel malt base with a bit of crystal malt in there too. minimal hops.
3.212oz Bottle pour at Cedrics at the Biltmore house. Red with white head. Has a sweet almost wine like aroma to it. Taste is malty and carmel with slightly bitter finish. Not bad. Needs to chilled
2.3Light citrus and some rusty aroma here. Finishes a little wooden, light bitterness. Pours reddish amber with some beige initial foam. OK for style. Bottle.
3.6Where and how: bottle 355ml
Aroma floral, aromatic with citrus notes. Nice herbal hop backing. Hint of red apple, cinnamon and sweet sugar. 7+
Appearance :
Top: large foamy cap with decent lace on glass
Base: copper- amber look.
Palate : medium bodied, semi dry yet with soft bottom.
Taste: mild nutty notes with secondary caramel sugars. Nutty woodsy finish.
Other notes easy going , tasty ale.
3.0Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear amber brew, huge tan red that settles down with good head persistence. Aroma of bread, nuts, caramel, fruit. Taste is bready, nutty, with a fruity / sour finish. Enjoyable.
2.3Bottle - Tea brown in color with an overly large chunky head. Has a bready malt aroma and taste. Has a bit of caramel sweetness but not much else.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a copper amber color with a one finger off white head. The head fades relatively quickly to leave a nice lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is of a roasted malt flavor with some aromas of caramel and a lightly roasted nut smell. Mixed with these smells are some lighter notes of an earthy and herbal hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and lightly roasted malt flavor. Some caramel flavor is present upfront which transitions more toward a toffee flavor more toward the middle as some lighter buttery flavors come to the tongue. With this transition comes some nut flavors of an almond nature. A very light earthy hop flavor joins that tastes at the end to leave a smooth and lightly roasted sweet and caramel flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the rather average to slightly thinner side in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that a bit on the higher side. The thinner body and higher carbonation are good for the abv and for making for a rather easy drinking brew while still being heavy enough for the roasted and lightly earthy hoped flavors of the brew.
Overall- A decent drinking brew with a fairly nice flavor profile and a easy drinking feel. Nothing exceptional, but a pretty nice drinker overall.
2.5Not a very well rounded amber with fruity notes, lingering acidity, and bready malts pointing in different directions.
3.312 oz bottle into a pint glass. Not the freshest. Pours a, well...amber body. Nose is grassy with some caramel and cereal grains. Taste is caramel and grains. Decent and drinkable, albeit a little bitter. Better cold then warm. Pretty spot on representation of the style.
2.8Bottle @ home, picked up in Charlotte. Thanks to jcnielsen for shipping to me. Pours a dark rust orange appearance with a brown head that dissipates kind of quickly. Caramel and apple sauce in the nose. Somewhat spicy. Twangy, tart pear/apple fruity flavor. Some toast and caramel. Not all that great. Heavy carbonation.
3.1Officially classified as an amber ale, although reminded me more of an amber lager... either way a decent but unexceptional offering from Duck Rabbit, not as memorable as their milk stout I have sampled previously. Clear amber appearance with long lasting white head, grainy caramel aroma. Taste is a bit weak, although features a nice slightly roasted and sweet interplay of malty notes, almost like a more sophisticated Yuengling lager. A bit thin on the palate as well but still refreshing. On draft this is a reliable and drinkable stand-alone beer.
3.1Clear amber with white head. Malt and toffee notes on the nose and palate ... Easy to drink thus one, not a bad effort...
3.2Bottle. Nice copper color with a medium head. Aroma was lightly roasted grains with just a tad of candy corn. Taste was a tad weak but with caramel, roasted grains and toast.
3.8From the 12oz bottle purchased from a sampler case. Low gravity and density leave a few things to be desired. A slightly acidic taste. Ho hum, this is left as a mildly disappointing review. I expected more from a brewer who has some top-notch beers in their cellar.
3.4Bottle. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel and toffee. Taste follows suit and adds some apple and light hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and carb. Pretty good.
3.312 oz bottle pours amber with a white head. Aroma of malts, roast and a hint of florals. Taste is sweet malts .
3.0High calorie but otherwise a great taste. Good color. Nice smell and no after taste either.
2.3Bottle into shaker. Aroma: Yep, it’s beer. Color is darker than I would expect from an amber ale. Malty sour taste. Leaves a sour yeast funk aftertaste. Very effervescent mouthfeel. Light body finishes long. I’ve heard great things about this beer, Might have been the fact it was a month out of date, but I wasn’t impressed.
2.8Bottle. From the home of dark beers I guess i should have expected a lack luster amber.
3.4Had on tap in a pint glass.
Pours a clear reddish brown with just a thin off white head.
Aroma of caramel and toast along with a touch of roasted malt. Some grassy hops sneak through too.
More roast in the flavor. It is on the light side, however, and there is a very healthy dose of toffee and toast. Grass and hay from the hops and a moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is on the watery side.
Overall, a decent amber ale but nothing really makes it stand out. Not my favorite from Duck Rabbit.
3.6Amber color with a lasting ivory head. Sweet malted grain nose. Rich caramel sweetness with some light toast, yeasty bread and some subtle fruitiness. Very nice amber ale.
