3.7Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Bottled 11.06.19. Pours hazy blond with a lasting bright white tight foam head. Aroma is zesty citrus. Taste is an exceptionally well balanced mix of fruit, namely orange and light sweet grapefruit. A little bitterness but not overpowering. Some sweet floral orange blossom. Carbonation verging on soft. Amazing, and just £2.40 a bottle!
3.9Colore giallo con venature arancio, schiuma bianca compatta e persistente, opalescente.. Buona carbonazione. L'amaro è in secondo piano.
3.433cl bottle at Bread and Meat, Cambridge, UK. Pours hazy brilliant blonde, with abundant white foam, foamy and grossly grained. Aroma is fresh and citrus, mandarin and orange in particular. Body is average like carbonation. Taste is medium-high bitter. Finish is regular.
3.7Pale and cloudy, with very little head. The nose is a bit bombastic for a pale ale, but rather delicious: pine and herbs (basil, nettles, even some chives), a hint of strawberry at the very edge of things. That may sound a bit contradictory, but the sequence of smells is actually quite convincing. On the tongue, you have assertive bitterness, just short of a kick. The finish is strong, but doesn't add much to the story. This one doesn't make my list of top favourites, but I would gladly buy and drink it again.
3.6Bottle. Bottled late-July 2018; BBE late-Nov 2018; Drank mid-Sept 2018 - Cloudy yellow gold in colour. Small white head. Very fruity; grapefruit and lemon citrus, rind, tropical fruits, peach, mango. Hoppy; moderate hop bitterness, piney hops, earthy. Malty, biscuity malts, caramel. But, classic mistake. Poured first half with care; enjoyed a lightly hazed fruity pale ale. Accidentally, poured all the loose sediment (and there was a lot) into the second half; did not enjoy the resulting cloudy/murky very bitter yeasty fruity result. Ended with lingering persistent bitterness. Overall there was probably a very good beer in there if only I had allowed it to prove it. Must try this again taking greater care. (2018-09)
3.9From tap at Brewdog. Nicely crisp with dominating sweetness. Notes of malt, grapefruit, tangerine and peach. Very nice.
3.725cl pour is clear and gold with some sticky white head. Nose has grass, orange, tangerines, fresh cream. Flavor doesn't have much malt to speak of, maybe some honey, melon, tropical fruit, tangerine. Finishes dry, lightly bitter. Easy drinker.
2.811/20 easy drinking, piney pale ale, nothing special but decent taste and very drinkable
4.2Bottle from Oddbins Rosemount. Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Looks fantastic. Nose is sweet floral fruitiness, touch of caramel malt with a light, dry herbal finish. Taste, like the nose is light, fresh fruit, orange and peach, florals with a light, grassy, savory bitterness. Soft, light, medium feel with a lightly crisp sparkle. So refreshing and drinkable. The Pales and the India Pales are two different beasts when it comes to The Kernel. Their Mosaic IPA is one of my favourites and this sits along side it as its lighter, more smashable brethren. Yet another fantastic beer from The Kernel.
4.1Tap at the Tanner, London. Gorgeous pale ale that is matursly bitter but remaining fresh. Hops, grass, pine. Beaut
W smaku wytrawne, bez grama zbędnego słodu, ultra czysty profil, dominują nuty leśne i grapefruit, świeży, trawiasty chmiel, w tle białe winogrona i liczi. Goryczka średnia w kierunku wysokiej żywiczno-grapefruitowa. Wyśmienita APA. Butelka do 29.12.2017
4.1Bottle from the brewery, Bermonsdey, London, Uk. As "The Kernel Pale Ale Mosaic 5.3% ABV, bottles on 01.08.17". It pours hazy orange, with a small, white head. Aroma is fruity, orange, tangerine, apricot, melon, mango, notes of grass. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, carbonation is average. Overall a very solid pale ale! Delicious.
3.9Keg at The Lyric, Soho. Citrs grapefruit aroma and also looks like a cloudy grapefruit juice. Very thin white head. Light bitter. Citrus. Underlying umami. Medium bodied. Slick. Light fizzy carb. Abrupt finish. Highly drinkable.
3.6Bottle. Very subdued spring onions, berries, grasses, fresh chives. Cloudy to murky golden, medium light body, Mandarine and mango sweetness, hay malt, fine mixed hop bag finish.
4.0Bottle. Unclear orange color with white head. Aroma is fresh blueberry mosaic goodness without any onion flavours that so many other Mosaic brews get wrong, accompanied by biscuity malts and pine. Taste is piney, blueberry mosaic, grassy, biscuity malts and just a touch of those mosaic onions. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Super-well balanced, top-notch Mosaic APA!
4.00,33 l bottle from Biervana
spruce, citrus, golden, hazy, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish, delicious Pale Ale. Very good balanced.
3.9draught@Bierkeller Au Trappiste - quite clear blond-orange beer with a moderate foam left yet a nice lace; fair fruity hoppiness where apricots dominate; medium-bodied; tasty and lively palate, decently bitter; quite dry bitter fruity hoppy finish - very clean
3.7Keg at Mr Foleys Cask Ale House. Bright golden body, filmy layer, crocheted lacing down the glass. Fresh aroma of grapefruit. Succulent fruit hoppy flavours of mandarin, grapefruit and mango followed by a mid-dry bitter fruity ending. Clean in the mouth. Enjoying. (Leeds 06.07.2017).
3.9Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of passionfruit, papaya, some blueberry, slight biscuity malts and subtle grassy hops. Taste of passionfruit, papaya, some mango, slight grapefruit, a hint of blueberry, a little biscuity malts and subtle grassy hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dryish, fruity hop bitterness in the finish. What Kernel do so well is single hopped pale ales because they get the best from the hop. Like the IPA, the is the best you can get from its style.

3.7On keg at the Red Squirrel.
Appearance - hazy golden, usual Kernel look.
Nose - papaya and bubble gum.
Taste - some sort of strange merger between bubble gum and Turkish Delight and a tropical fruit (overripe melon maybe).
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - good beer.
3.8Keg at Red Squirrel. Clear golden. Nose is big citrus, pibeapple, passionfruit. Tastes crispy fruity, cittus, grass. Solid, good.
