3.4 Bottle from Bottle Mix, Kettering. Mid- to dark gold and slightly hazy with a creamy off-white head on top. Candy sugar, freshly mown grass and butterscotch aroma. Sweet and slightly spicy taste with toffee and yeasty bread with a sharp bittering hop close to the finish. Decent little beer.
3.4 Aroma of Belgian yeast, spice and pepper, pours a cloudy pale yellow color. Taste is Belgian yeast, banana and pepper. Medium body with a peppery banana finish.

3.9 A: Cloudy straw with a medium-low white head N: Enticing. Oranges, orange peel, brioche T: The citrus on the nose is now apparent in bundles, but beautifully layered. Hints of orange, grapefruit, lime and lemon zest. Quite a bit of hop bitterness is also present, which flows seamlessly into the citrus notes. Clove and ginger in the background. P: Full O: There is a lot going on in this beer and the flavors are all rather bold, but they play so well together. Great beer!

3.3 Keg at borefts 2016... Golden yellow Amber... Thin white lacing... Soft sweet herbal fruit nose... Soft dry herbal fruit. Soft fruits
4.1 6.5% ABV Bottle pours a hazy amber with a light tan head. The smell is earthy malt, spice, dull fruit and a touch of funk. The taste is rich toasted malt, licorice, fruit, sassafras ending somewhat dry and earthy. Light+ in body with fine carbonation. Damn, I could drink this beer regularly and be a happy man.
2.5 On tap at Berthom (Lyon). Color : hazy yellow / golden ale with medium white head. Nose : yeast, malt, honey. Aromas : malt, spices, yeast. Medium texture, low carbonation, low bitterness.
3.8 Appearance: clear deep gold with one fat finger of creamy dense ivory head, excellent retention and patchy lacing. (5/5) Aroma: floral, citrus, yeasty, grassy, honey and pale malt. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter, light tart, light peppery spice. (8/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate bitter and slightly spicy finish. (4/5) Another solid performer from Thiriez, if maybe not quite as good as their Etoile Du Nord. I have to admit a real weakness for this Franco-Belgian style, but even so, this is a good interpretation of that style. (14/20)
