3.1 A red stone ale with high creamy head. Aroma is caramel, malty, roasted, light coffee. Taste is bitter and light sweet.
3.0 Aroma: fruity hops and slight hay. Flavour: fruity bitterness with a grapelike dry aftertaste and earth like notes. Colour: reddish brown with an offwhite head. From: aldi mar. 2015.
3.1 Great beer with great colors. The beer is brewed with 800 degrees hot stones, which adds the natural taste of nature.
3.1 Copenhagen 9/11 2014. 50 cl bottle from Netto. Pours copper brown with off-white head. Dissolves slowly. Aroma is spicy and fruity. Medium low carbonation. Taste is rather sweet and spicy - almost smoky. Not much bitterness or aftertaste. Mostly a little sourness. Interesting story about the "Stone beer" but it's not evident in the taste.
2.5 Nice Beer made With a Nice rounded taste of caramel, spice and liquorice. Reminiscent of many brown ales. The hot stone method is interesting however not producing any particular taste in my opinion.

2.9 Bottle as 5 Stenøl. Clear, very dark amber with frothy offwhite head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of dried fruit. Flavour is malty, sweet with prominent alcohol, slightly metallic. Finish is bitter with more metal and not-so-pleasant alcohol burn.
3.3 On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner (BU- on order) as 5 Sten Øl. Clear amber color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity: malt, dried fruits, caramel & vanilla. Medium body & complexity . Quite sweet. Enjoyable
2.6 33cl bottle (as 5 Stenøl) shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours clear copper coloured with an off-white head. Malty and caramelly aroma with notes of dried fruits and hints of herbs and alcohol. Fairly sweet and caramelly with moderate herbal with fairly decent bitterness. Fair enough, but not quite my thing.

3.1 bottle, from some copenhagen supermarket, as thisted 5. rich shade of amber with a minimal head; loads of caramel and bread dough in the aroma; light bitterness with more and more caramel flavour drowning everyhting else out.; that said, still not unpleasant at all
2.6 50 cl bottled @ home. Caramel malty aroma, spicyness. Reddish brown with small off-white head. Tiny lasting. Taste: Malty, little metallic, moderate bitterness, moderate sweetness. Medium body, caramel sweet finish (not long), creamy texture, average carbonation.
3.1 Bottle share for Colin’s 40th. Orange light amber coloured beer. Aroma is dried berry! Dried fruit, berry, raisin, sweet caramel flavour follows sweet berry, caramel hint of wood and smoke caramel. Bit too sweet and caramel. Not very palatable.
3.3 Bottle shared at CBC Islo during my 40th bash, 11/10/14. Rich amber with light beige edgeing. Nose is caramel malt, dark fruit peel, light spice. Taste comprises rich malt, caramel, hint of tropical fruit, candied fruit peel, toffee, sweetish tunes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweetish close. Ok.
3.6 Bottle shared in London. Pours clear amber with a frothy white head. The nose has bread, caramel, ripe fruits. Big sweet flavor with dry and grainy bread, berries, slight leaves, alcohol, cherry skin. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with kots of dried fruits, dry caramel, toasty bread. Tasty stuff.
2.1 Old rating rerated 03.10.2014, 0,5l bottle (as Stenøl) @ home: Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, caramel malts, hay, minerals, nuts, grass, alcohol, "knekk", hints of chocolate. Taste is kind of harsh and slightly metallic, alcohol, harsh grass, metal tank, burnt caramel, hay, weeds. Longlasting bitterness, harsh metallic mouthfeel. Meh! Maybe a few years of aging could save this one at least a little bit...
3.6 Bottle. Pours a clear bronze-hued dark amber body with a huge creamy, long-lasting off-white head. Nice. Aroma is caramel, raisins, dark fruits, hints of vanilla, bread crust and toffee. Taste is raisins, alcohol, bitter herbs, dark fruits, nuts and hints of toffee, burnt toast and caramel in the back. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Surprisingly nice "American Winter Warmer"; a bit sharp around the edges but definitely drinkable.
3.1 Bottle at Cafe Sara labeled as Thisted 5 Tenøl, may 9th 2014. Clear amber body, small head. Aroma of burned caramel, bread, spicy hops. Taste has the same bread/burned malt notes, with a light fruity finish, thick malty aftertaste.
3.1 Fin rødbrun farge med et beige skum. Aroma av røstet malt, karamell, friskt og gjær. Smaken følger aroma, mer smak enn i aroma. Her er det krydder, tørket frukt, moden frukt og alkohol. Lang fin ettersmak
3.6 Bottle. Pours reddish dark amber with a yellow to orange head. Aroma is malts, caramel, hops, a bit fruity, some pine too. Taste is sweet with medium bitterness. Medium bitter finish, longer sweet after taste. Interesting.
2.5 Thisted 5 Stenøl: Brewery puts a 800°C stone into the wort, making a long mature process. Beige yellowish top, copper red clear body. Plums, toffee and grass in aroma. Tastes caramel, butter, ginger, grains. Palate sweet. Finishes sweet, plum became a sweet prune. Maybe the brew would benefit from removing that additional sugar.
