Pours a deep brown in colour with a tan head. The smokiness of the peated malts is matched by a smooth taste of toffee, caramel and dark fruits.

3.6 50cl bottle. Black with small tan head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel and smokey aroma. Taste is well balanced. Overall, good beer.
3.6 Pours nearly black, but clear. Aroma is mildly smoky and peaty. Medium-full, silky body. Odd alkaline twist with much ash on the finish. Neither very sweet nor very bitter.
3.8 Nearly black and clear, tan head dissipating quickly. Nice rich smoky and peaty aroma and flavor with some nice peaty bits. Medium bodied and lively.
4.3 500ml bottle from the LCBO. 5.3% alc./vol. Pours and opaque deep brown colour with one finger of light brown head. Aromas of coffee, roasted malts, and a whiff of caramel. Taste matches the aroma with a well balanced smoked finish. Not as dry as your usual porter. Excellent smoked porter.
3.6 Bottle 0.5l sample at Samo Pivo Belgrade, Serbia. 20.07.2016. Small tasting with Ogi and Vlada. Pour it dark color with small brown head. Aroma dark chocolate, some caramel. Taste of caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, plum, full body, sticky, average carbonation, long finish. Nice balanced. Good!

1.8 5/20 Smoked porter - smoked coffee, nothing else, no complexity. Just not my thing.
3.6 Dark brown, almost black. Medium head. Smoky flavour, roast. Medium-dry, roasted, smoky. A bit empty, but well balanced. Aftertaste is a bit heavy.
3.5 500ml bottle. Dark brown almost black colour with a two-finger tan head. Aroma: roast, smokey malt, hint of chocolate. Taste: smokey roast malt, caramel, dark fruits, slight hint of chocolate perhaps. A little sweetness from the fruity, malty flavours with a bitter smokey finish and aftertaste. Medium body, low carbonation. Not a fan of smoked beers generally but this one wasn’t at all overpowering, nicely done.
3.6 Near black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with licorice and smoke and a touch of coffee beans. Sweetish roasted flavour with a light smoke. It’s never prominent enough to harm the beer with medicine/iodine character
3.5 2016-08-14. Black body, nice brown head fades. 3++ Aroma has moderate smokey character over dark malt core, moderate roast, whispers of brown sugar and caramel. Flavour is similar, smokey overtones, relatively bitter throughout, roasty dark malt, muted sugary caramel accents. Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation. Cocoa notes come out in the finish and linger in the aftertaste with the smoke. Well made beer but even the moderate smoke detracts for my tastes. 7/4/7/3/14 Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto.
3.5 Bottle - 500ml. Pours an opaque black body with an average, fading, beige creamy head. Good malty aroma with smokey and chocolate hints. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries smokey and hickory notes. Ends with a robust smokey/woody finish. Enjoyable.
3.8 Bottle. Dark brown. Slightly smoked malty flavour with some subtle bitterness. Medium body and quite thirst quenching. Well worth trying.
3.4 Black body, medium brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, smoked malt, ashes, chocolate. Flavours of roasted malt, ashes, smoke and chocolate. Medium bitter roasted malt finish, end dry.
3.8 Look: black with red shades, opaque, beige head with average retention. Aroma: deicate smoked notes, roasted, prunes, chocolate, autumn leaves. Taste: dry, light bitterness, light berries tartness. Flavour: dark berries, dried prunes, roasted meat, charcoal, woody vanilla notes. Finish slightly ethery with some hoppy and minty notes. Very good with very delicate smoked notes. I believe that smoked beer should be more smoked, however this is a good, rich, balanced porter.
3.4 Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt notes with some very subtle smoked flavours is OK. Taste is a mix of roasted malt notes with subtle smoked flavours and some light coffee notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Not bad but didn’t really stand out either.
3.8 (Thornbridge Beadeca’s Well) Cask, half pint at Thornbridge Den Bosch. Almost totally black colour on the body, a bit less than a finger of thick and creamy, light brown head with very good retention. Great aroma here, with light coffee, mocha, chocolate, light roasted malts. Taste follows with roasted malts, chocolate, light liquorice even, faint coffee. Medium body, low carbonation. Very good.
3.5 500 ml botle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with light beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, coffee, licorice, chocolate, caramel, some smoked notes. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.8 Deep black pour with a thick brown head. The nose is chocolatey and a little bit roasty with a touch of light coffee and some richness. No fruit. Malt driven with a bit of roast and some nice richness through the middle. Coffee is subtle but this is a nice brew.
3.6 Very lightly smoked aroma. dark brown with light tan head taste blackcurrant light coffee hint of liquorice the smokiness amounts to campfire waft subtle and interesting
3.7 Bottle. Dark opaque brown body, big tan head with average retention. Aroma of leather, roasted malts, cocoa liquor and licorice, very light smokiness. Taste of burned toast, chocolate, dried berries, hints of coffee. Nice, but I’d like a little more smokiness.
Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is smoked, raisin, chocolate, roasted malt. Flavour is bacon, smoked, coffee, raisin, chocolate, licorice, roasted malt. Medium body. Nice beer.
4.0 Bottle from the lcbo. Jet black pour, small beige head. Aroma is smoky, but subtle, and inviting. Not a slap innthe face withna charred log. Some nice roasted malts, soft cocoa, and coffee. Malts have hints of sweetness, and soy with some ripe fruit. Smoke rounds everything out softly with a subtle bitterness and roasty finish.
3.9 50 cl can. Pours a dark opaque brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of tofifee candies, coffee m, chocolate and toffee. Taste is slightly sweet. Palate is thin for the taste and style. I like this one. Overall a good beer.
3.4 Bottle from Cambridge Wine Merchants, Cherry Hinton Road. Purplish black and opaque. The small tan head disappears quickly. Gentle wood smoke sits alongside roasted coffee in the aroma. The taste is dominated by the sweet/savoury richness of the smoked malt. A bit of grainy bitterness in the finish. Thin body. It’s pretty good but not as good as I hoped it would be.
4.2 500ml bottle 5.3% ABV Milton LCBO Outlet #1 (Milton, Ontario, Canada) February 23, 2016 The beet pours a solid coca-cola colour with a very thin creamy brown head which lingers and laces well. The aroma is peat wood, roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between a smoked malt flavour, coffee, and caramel notes. Tastes great!

Aroma is smoked wood, chocolate, caramel, tobacco, carton. Light sweet, medium bitter. Finish is medium lasting roasty medium bitter, light umami, smoked wood.
