Thornbridge Brother Rabbit

Thornbridge Brother Rabbit

Cask: Occasional.

Thornbridge Brother Rabbit (4%) - an early spring ale. Hopped with three classic American hops: Cascade, Chinook and Centennial (N.B. J D Wetherspoons festival programme October 2011 states hops are Amarillo and Cascade). Gold in colour with tropical fruits and orange sherbet dominating the aroma. Medium body with a clean firm bitterness to balance – a great thirst quenching beer.

3.8 September 14, 2019 - with lagerloather, at Craft Beer Co (Hammersmith) - on handpull cask. Very clear light gold with a nice beige head, nice lacing. Extra grainy standard fresh golden ale aroma - light alcohol, just the thing after the QPR match, wedged into tiny seats in full sun. Taste follows, quite lush, fresh oily grain, some stone fruit juicy sweetness and low-level funky/acidic UK hop - nice. Chewy mouthfeel, light body and carbonation, quickish grainy gentle finish. Terrific drinker.
2.8 5-3-6-3-11 On cask @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear pale yellow, with a small rocky head. Aroma is pale malts with bread and toffee, as well as hoppy notes of orange. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is citrusy hops with oranges, as well as pale malts with cereals, honey and toffee.
3.3 Cask at Flint Gate, Weybridge. Low key aroma. Slightly hazy light gold. No head. Light-medium bitter with a citrus sweet edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. flat. Dry. OK.
Rather uninspiring.
3.5 A bit flat, even for a cask bitter. A pump would come in handy. Suspects that this is a little bit over the hill, but still a descent traditional bitter, with good hoppy finish
2.7 Cask at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy golden without any head. Aroma of flowers, citrus, some notes of bread. Tastes slightly bitter with little sweetness. Thin bodied, no carbonation.
3.4 From cask served by gravity at Cardinal with DKS people 26.11.19. Clear pale straw colour. Diminishing white head. Refreshing taste of lemon, lime, pale malt and a hint of biscuits. Good, fresh, and quaffable. From cask served by gravity at Cardinal with BHK after seeing Metropolis with live organ music at Stavanger Concert House. Translucent pale straw colour. No head. Aroma and taste of biscuits and withered citrus. No carbonation. There’s room for improvement in cellermanship. [4/2/4/3/8=2.1]
3.5 Cask, gravity dispense, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, small white head. Nice aroma of light malts, citrus and toffee. Fairly light bodied, but good for a 4% beer. Tingling citrussy hops on the tongue, decent bitterness in the finish.
