Thornbridge Green Mountain

Thornbridge Green Mountain

The beer is small batch, brewed at Thornbridge Hall. Thornbridge has generously dry hopped it with Galaxy, Mosaic, Citra and Amarillo hops, creating a hugely aromatic and juicy fruit bomb. It drinks beautifully, with just a light bitterness to keep it balanced.

3.7 Thornbridge Green Mountain Hazy Vermont Session IPA 4.3% Pale straw gold, thick bright white dollop of foam and fruity guava aroma. Either this is more heavily hopped or it’s fresher. Nice flavor on a medium body with tropical notes that even include some coconut. I’m digging this much more than the Jamestown. More flavor AND lower ABV, yes please. I’d buy it again.
3.7 33cl blik van Landmarkt/Ranzijn. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. 1 van de weinige NEIPA’s met een fatsoenlijke kraag overigens. Aroma van perzik, vers gemaaid gras, papaya, geel fruit. Smaak is wat grassig, netels, iets fruitig, degelijk bitter. Lichte body. Prima session ipa.
3.6 Can at home, hazy golden orange beer, small head. Aroma is fruit, tropical fruit, citrus, malt, hops, Taste is the same, bitter, light sweet, quite nice.
3.5 330 ml can. Cloudy dark yellow, big fluffy head. Pineapple, mango, lactose, lemon. Mild dry hoppy bitterness, some fruity sweetness. Light bodied, watery texture, soft carbonated, dry finish. Nice sessionable IPA, but some more body would have been nice.
3.4 On tap at the Dartmouth Arms, London on 31st July 2030. Hazy amber with thick and solid white foam and plenty of lace. Peachy apricot aroma. Tropical fruits in-mouth with apricot and a touch of citrus. Herby finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium to light body.
3.7 Pours murky straw with sizable stable white head, aroma of guava and lemon, citrus and pines flavor
3.6 On tap at L'Autre Oeil (Gatineau, QC). Hazy golden body with an average, lasting, white foamy head. Robust, well balanced, malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, coriander, fruity, and piney hints. Its sharp, light malty/hoppy taste carries ferny notes. Ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable.
4.0 Hazy yellow colour with a pretty big head. Aroma is a bunch of tropical fruits, super fresh. Taste is pretty fruity as well with a moderate level of bitterness.
4.0 Can, BBE in 5 months. Pours cloudy yellow with large frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and light malt. Taste of peach, mango, quite sweet and very fruity and light. Light body, moderate carbonation, a decent light bitter dry finish. Very refreshing and delicious session IPA.
3.3 A light fruity smell, some vanilla. The large white foamy head has a long duration, the body is pale yellow and light cloudy. A light fruity and bitter taste, quite refreshing. The body is light and creamy with a lively carbonation.
3.5 330ml can - Pours a hazy pale yellow colour with an average sized mostly lasting foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, grapefruit, lemon, tropical with some pale malt notes. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter; pale malt, grapefruit and pineapple flavours with a mellow bitterness and light dryness in the finish.
4.0 Session with strong hoppy scent.
3.7 Can. Hoppy aroma and taste, citrus fruit, grassy notes, medium bitter. Medium body, hoppy fruity bitter finish. Good.
3.6 13 March 2020. Pre-Lockdown (in hindsight) Tasting with Anke & Pieter. Pours hazy ochre with a stable, small, frothy, off-white head; some lacing. Aroma of dank peach, rambutan, lime, dough, freshly cut onion, cheese, pepper. Taste has sweetish peach, apple & mandarin over bitter stonefruit & grapefruit, a bit spicy & dank with soft doughy maltiness. Peppery-floral hoppy finish, subtly lingering fruit & yeast. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Aromatic but lacks some thicker (doughy) maltiness for body and support.
3.6 Can from Pub-up-beerstore, Wolvega. Aroma is citrussy hops with bready pale malt, grass, citrus, touch of lemon and pineapple. Flavour is moderate bitter with a mildly dry finish. Light to medium body. Great drinkability.
3.2 Can from My Beer Dealer on 13 May 2020. Certainly is sessionable. Starts off with a big fluffy head that slowly settles. Smells hoppy but that doesn’t transfer into the flavour.
3.3 A dry hopped ale hopped with Galaxy Mosaic and Amarillo A fruity bomb refreshing with a slight balanced bitterness
3.7 Quarantine can. Muted gold. Lively hoppy aroma, citrus and mostly tropical. Bitter, hoppy, tropical and danky taste. Light body, fresh hoppy, citrus finish.
