Thornbridge Jaipur

Thornbridge Jaipur

Cask, keg & bottle; Regular.

A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

4.0 Third at Holyrood 9A. Clear golden pour, skin of head. Hoppy aroma, woody, grassy, pine. Taste is a light blast of hops, a pronounced bitterness, but in moderation. This what the IPA was all about. Beautiful!
2.4 33cl can from hopt.it, France. Pours bright gold, transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is very particular, with quite some herbaceous feeling. Feels almost like contaminated. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is markedly bitter, with a dry final.
4.0 Well, well, well... This is good !
4.7 Perfect draft One of the best IPAs on PD. Shame the UK brews are so expensive on PD.
3.6 Can shared with ITFCDan. Aroma of grapefruit, melon, herbal, grass, orange and citrus. Taste of grapefruit and hops. Slight carbonation. Nice bitterness.
1.9 Oh dear. Not impressed. Can't honestly see this growing on me. Rather unpleasant taste. No aroma. Too be honest it tastes like a lager coloured stout.
3.3 Gekocht bij Jumbo in Oostkapelle. Redelijke IPA, klassiek hoppig met duidelijke citrus tonen. 5,9% alcohol. Veel bekroond. Mist toch wat scherpte.
3.7 Low carbonation.yellow.Lemon,herbs.good balance.sticks to the mouth.very drinkable. Bbf: 18/11/2021
W tle akcenty ziołowe i trawiaste. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego. Ciało odczuwalne jako średnie. Tekstura sucha, szorstka. Posmak długi wytrawny.
3.3 330ml can, served fridge cold in straight 1/2pt glass. Crystal clear pale gold colour, with a brilliant white head. Looks like a pilsner lager. As the head collapsed nice lacing left on the glass. Slightly hoppy aroma with tropical undertones. Nice punchy hop flavour, but not overpowering. Bitter beery aftertaste, with a hint of tropical fruits. Taste is quite different to the cask conditioned version of this ale, and may appeal to lager drinkers.
3.1 Nevelig goudgeel bier met witte schuimkraag. Gist, hop, appel. Bitter. Beetje rechttoe, rechtaan. Had fruitiger gemogen.
2.7 Quick rate Tap filled to bottle from plastic cup Smell- medium-strong hop aroma. Taste- bitter, hoppy. Nothing special.
4.0 33cl bottle from beer shop. Pours a very slightly hazy almost clear pale golden with thin white foam. Aroma is loaded of floral and piney hops and fruits hints, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is absolutely fresh, clean and refreshing with fruity sweetness and a high hops bitterness in the finish. Nice long bitter and fruity hoppy mouthfeel. Floral hops and fruits taste, citrus, grapefruit, tangerine and orange peel. Light to medium body slightly soapy texture good carbonation absolutely fresh and tasty IPA with a good bitter.
5.0 This is a classic craft ale, brewed in Bakewell, Peak District, UK. This "5.9% IPA packed with American hops and like nothing else in the beer industry at that time" propelled the brewers Thornbrige onto the map and for very good reason. It's brilliant 4 cans for £6 when on offer at Tesco or Morrisons.
3.9 Bottle from Ken's, enjoyed watching the rugby at home. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin white head. Nice and frosty. Grapefruit rind, floral, pine, slight weedy notes. Light-medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lovely woody British hop finish. Light-medium body, gently prickly carbonation. Lovely take on the style.
3.7 Clear pale Jellow beer with a white foamy head. As if a crisp and clear german Pilsener is converted into an IPA with lovely piney and citrussy hops. Very pleasant to drink, so empty before you know.
3.9 Old rating from 2010 - 500ml bottle, pours golden with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, flora, pine, bread, earth & malt. Medium body. Dry medium bitter finish
3.5 Copenhagen 28/2 2021. 33 cl bottle from Meny. Rotunden, Hellerup. Simple orange label with ornaments in red and Thornbridge's logo in gold. Pours unclear pale yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with subtle citric notes. Dry vibe. Sweet pale malts and caramel. Unripe gooseberries and citrus. Fairly strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively, tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry. Pretty straight forward, classic take on an Indian Pale Ale. No more, no less.
3.3 Dirty yellow cloudy with dissipating head . Not lot nose. Dry metallic finish and grapefruit. Dry hops to the fire. Almost jaw quenching . Expected more but did enjoy. Maybe served too cold?
3.5 Whilst I expected this to be slap you in the face fruity, there was a more stuble flavouring to it. Orangery of course, just stuble tangerine, rather than blood orange
3.0 12.6.2021 On tap, 280ml. Pours clear pale gold with a medium head. Mouth feel is quite light and crisp with medium low carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter for the style - quite notable bitterness, medium sweetness, medium-low acidity. Flavors are grapefruit rind and juice, bitter orange, nutty, pale malt, peach, floral, lemon. Quite drinkable and light, but not great. 6/3/5/3/13=3.0 24.1.2021 Bottle, 330ml. Yellow with a foamy light head. Aroma of grapefruit, hops, floral. Body is medium to light, with medium to low carbonation and foamy slick mouth feel. Taste is notably but not overwhelmingly bitter, mild sweetness at finish. Flavors of hops, grapefruit, citrus pith, lemon, floral, herbal. A bit boring. Flavor is quite monotone and the bitterness gets tiring. 3/3/4/3/11=2.4
3.2 from a can poured a crystal clear pale gold with 5mm of bright white open foam that retained very well and laced well. Carbonation high, lively and medium to coarse. Aroma subtly of citrus (mostly lemon) with hints of caramel malt. Taste is moderately strong citrus (mostly lemon with hints of grapefruit) and slight amounts of sweet caramel; slight chemical-like after-taste as it warms; low bitterness for an IPA, more like an XPA. Light body. Smooth, crisp, clean and dry with a medium-length finish. Easy drinking.
3.2 Schaum verfällt extrem schnell Farbe: Gold gelb. Geruch:hopfige Zitrus armomen Geschmack: blumige und und Zitrus Aromen
3.9 22-12-20 // 440ml can from Stumpf. An absolute classic. Clear brighter bolden. Bitter to IPA crossover. Good bitterness. Not much fruity hop aromas as all the modern examples. Straight IPA. GOOD.
4.0 Mocna goryczka
