3.013. 12. 2016, Ljubljana, Ico's place. Bottled. Does not feel like a wheat beer. Strong taste and pleasant aromas, will have to taste it again.

medium to strong taste - caramel, burnt brown sugar, black berries with alcohol, green walnut jam, wheat malt with a moderate sourness, tart yellow fruits, fresh white bread, notes of red wine with yeasts, a bit of bitterness in the background. very good!
3.7Bottle from The Bottle Shop Druid Rd. Aroma and taste are spot on, but body is a bit thin. Nice nutty, pit fruit flavors, sweet aroma. Holds its weight well.
4.0Excellently executed like Michael Jackson moonwalk. A hint of florals, light banana, some roast barley. Dark brown pour with great head and some lacing. Some caramel. Light sweet but clean finish. Tap at Smokehouse.
4.1Keg at The Hanging Bat. Hazy amber/brown body with a beige head that holds well. Good lacing. Aroma of caramel, bubblegum, spices and banana bread. Flavour of caramel, figs, nuts, brown bread and white pepper. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This reminded me of Westmalle Dubbel. I’m surprised this hasn’t scored higher than it has - it’s a lovely beer with lots going on.
3.7Hazy dark red-brown color with a medium fluffy beige head. Full body, medium carbonisation, almost no lacing. Smell of malts, wheat, bruised banana, pear, esters, nutmeg, toffee, fruity bubblegum and cloves. Wheaty and spicy taste with hints of caramel, molasses, (maybe) plums and dry/dark fruits. Dry beginning and sweet finish, but calm aftertaste. Notable sweetness on the palate and alcoholic warmth. Resembles a Belgian-style tripel. Enjoyable and interesting beer.
2.0The carbonation was close to none. Maybe it was a bad bottle, but I will never know now, because I am not risking buying another one. I am a big fan of Thornbridge, but I don’t understand this one. I didn’t finish it.
3.6Pours very dark amber, with minimum and quickly dissipating slightly off white top. Aroma is strong alcoholic, some banana hints in the background. Taste is full bodied, evolving through slight carbonation to a slightly roasty, yet also sour finish. A nice doppelbock!
3.6Bottle. Dark amber in colour with nice and white head. Banana notes mixed with caramel, toasted malts and dried fruits. Medium sweet In taste, fruity. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, medium bitter finish.

3.4Draft. An unclear brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of bananas, esters, caramel, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, caramel, bananas, and cloves, leading to a sweet finish.
3.5500ml bottle served in a snifter glass. Pours a cloudy dark amber color forming a medium to small creamy tan head with good retention and some lacings formed and left in the top. Nose is very sweet. Strong notes of caramel malts and bubblegum. Notes of banana and cloves. Alcohol. Sweet taste, from the beginning til the end. Notes of bubblegum, banana, cloves and lots of caramel malts. Medium to low bitterness. Heavy body. Low carbonation. Caramel in the aftertaste. Medium drinkability. Not my style of beer.

3.1bottle at home from thornbridge online
Opaque dark ruby brown with fluffy dark tan head with tonnes of banana and a savoury undertone. head collapses to a few mm pretty quickly, spiky carbonation, full bodied, lots of carbonation, banana dominant flavour, heavy, rich, boozy and warming quite sweet, not getting much of the cloves but slight peppery notes in finish.
3.6Bottle at home shared with Sarah, picked up from beer gonzo. A hazed reddy amber blood orange coloured pour with a lively frothy beige head. Aroma is nice gooey banana bread, dried fruits, toffee, banoffee pie. Flavour is composed of sweet toffee, nutty tangy dried fruits, earthy woodland fruits. Palate is medium sweet, medium bodied, grain tannin, moderate carbonation. Little alcohol presence in the finish. Good.
3.8BOTTLE 50 CL. Cloudy mahogany, beige head. Smells and tastes like a good dunkles weizenbock. Dark sweet bread, caramel, dried prunes and bananas. Some nail-polish/acetone like notes just add to the complexity. Aventinus level.. Very good.
3.5500ml bottle from Thirsty in Cambridge, drunk at home. Mid-brown, muddy-cloudy, with noticeable carbonation but no head. Smell of chocolate malt, apricot brandy and almond butter. Very nice but doesn’t hang together quite as well as I’d like. Sweet, mega-malty and dangerously alcoholic. Body is a bit weak and could do with an extra zap of carbonation. There’s a lot going on here, and it’s fun to drink. Some balance issues but that doesn’t stop it being a darn good beer.
3.7Bottle at home in London - sourced from the one and only Cotteridge Wines. Pours clear ruby-brown with a soft, creamy khaki head. The aroma holds a lot of grape, ripe cherry, lightly toasted brown bread. Medium to richly sweet flavour, with lots of ripe and gooey berries, more cherry and grape, some fruit punch, hints of toffee, bready malts, toasted wheat. Medium bodied with average carbonation and velvety texture. Sweet finish, lightly warming and just a little bit sticky, with more nicely rounded, ripe berries, plum, cherry, grape, slight bruised banana. Fairly straightforward, but the fruit character is quite compelling and the 8% strength is nowhere to be seen. Dangerously drinkable, for sure.
3.6Muddy brown with thin head. Aroma has plenty of caramel malts and sweet banana as does the flavour. In the aftertaste there are hints of liquorice. Pleasant and complex.
3.8Re-rate from can, thanks a lot for that one Fin! A lot deeper than in my previous rating, very nice dark dessert notes.
Bottle. Red chestnut, lowish brown head. Roast caramel, light berry aroma.
Roasted dry notes, caramel, licorice, some blueberries, light banana, dates, Medium full body, sparkles stave the stickiness away. warming finish. Pleasant.
3.6Bottle 0,5l. Pours a hazy amber brown colour with a large beige head. Aroma is spicy with notes of caramel, spices, cloves, banana, bread and herbs. Taste is spicy with notes of caramel, bananas, bread, cloves and herbs.
3.4Dark brown color with foam head. he smell has a lot of alcohol and licorice. Strong, thick character with a small acidic finish and a heavy licorice touch. Calm aftertaste.
3.9Bottle. Lots of ripe banana, and yes, bubblegum and candy. Almost like a tripel. A bit too flat, a bit boozy. Warming and intense.
3.7Dark brown color with amber highlight and a fluffy beige head. Aroma is spicy yeasts, bananas. Taste is plums, overripe bananas, massive fruit esters. Finish is boozy, and a bit too intense on dried plums. Silky mouthfeel, carbonation is a bit too low. Still a good Weizenbock, though.
