3.5 BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear pale yellow, white head. Hoppy aroma - mango, as well as grapefruit and lime, a touch of honey malt in the background. Similar taste, with a clear and crisp bitterness. A flavourful yer light beer, with enough flavour and moderate bitterness. Very good.
3.8 50cl bottle. Clear yellow golden with a medium white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Quite bitter with subtle fruity sweetness. Citrus, pine, caramel, grass and malts. Refreshingly bitter.
3.3 500ml bottle from Saveur Biere. Pale yellow gold colour, white foam head and lemony hop aroma. Taste is pale malt, alittle biscuit, with a clean tart lemony citrus note and some lingering grassy bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
3.2 Bottle 50cl / Botella 50cl. @ The Beer Garden Store, Madrid, España. A: Golden / Dorado. T/S: Malt, citrusy, sweet / Malta, citrico, dulce.
3.9 from la Mise en Bière - quite clear golden-blond beer with a poor head retention; hoppy aroma of lemongrass, herbs and straw; medium-bodied, clean palate; subtle but fair carbonation; dry and bitter; fresh fruity and piney, lager-like crisp finish - very good
4.0 500ml bottle bb01/2017 courtesy of Hofmark. Crisp dry greenbeige pour. Clean aromas of lime peel, lemongrass and freezedried grapefruit zest. About the same in flavour, dialed in with artistic precision and almost a lager sensibility to make an immensely quenching, dry, proto-juicy APA with an Old World sense of balance in the imported exotics. Rougher finish of wet grasses. - Looking forward to see more of mature Thornbridge quality to take it up with the punks.
3.6 Bottled, 500ml from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Gold with white head. There is a sweetish, orange, tangerine type flavour at the start of this, juicy, lightly syrupy all on a pleasant light malt. Later pineapple notes. Pretty decent.
3.6 5%ABV. American Pale Ale. Nose has citrus and some pine freshness. Mouthfeel is watery with pronounced carbonation. There are some neat pale malt flavors of hard candy, taffy, water biscuits, raw peanuts, Finish is medium with hop bitterness which is pronouced with pine and grass being most prominent. Very good, just not quite list material. Don’t get me wrong. I like this one well enough to drink it myself but maybe not to recommend.
2.6 Draught, albeit a long time ago. Citrus, mandarin lime, grassy-herbal notes, kiwi. All spoiled by sulphury notes reeking of toilet. Otherwise more than decent - light and crisp, not too bitter, very well balanced. But the sulphur spoiled the fun.
2.4 Pours clear with a thin frothy white head. Aroma is a bit of a let down, some citrus but a bit of a lager smell. Very smooth palate. Not a great beer from 2 great breweries, a bit more like a German lager than an APA.
4.0 From Uvinum. In Teku glass. Playing Mutant Mudds Deluxe. Very refreshing and with a nice tasty bitterness.
4.0 Tasting at Mrk’s. Very nice and crisp, refreshing, lemon, mango, sweet fruit juice, bitter edge. Backlog from 2014/12/06.
3.5 Clear yellow with white head. Crisp, dry, fruity, refreshing, moderate bitter... bit thin... decent APA, if not a bit uninspiring.
3.6 Bottle @home tasting General Election 2015 (rating backlog) Pours gold with a small white head. Nose is malty, tropical fruits, orange and general citrus. Taste is citrus, bitter lime tartness, quite a mineral after taste like you would get from the terroir from a wine, nice.
3.5 Bottle. Very pale gold with a white head. Gentle but pleasant aroma of mandarins, lemon, grapefruit, the meadow, sherbet. Light body, moderate carbonation. Very soft feel to it. Some sweet clean hayish malt then citrus and some tropical fruit. Dry and moderately bitter at the end. Classy but maybe a bit too understated.
3.9 Bottle from The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a clear straw colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, lime, mango, some pineapple, subtle straw and grassy, floral hops. Taste of lemon, lime, mango, some pineapple, a little melon, slight grapefruit, subtle biscuit and grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A bittersweet, citrusy, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Thornbridge fail to disappoint, definitely with Sierra Nevada. Fresh, citrusy with a light bitterness. Highly drinkable and full flavoured. Lovely.
2.3 Bottled 500ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Pale yellow coloured, small to medium sized white head that went away fast, weak lemony nose. Just few bubbles of carbonation. Tastes like mineral water with citrusy and floral hoppy notes and weak bitterness. Short bitterish finish. Not good.
3.2 Bottle. Appearance- clear and golden, loads of bubbles, a two-finger white head. Aroma- lime, fresh hops, pine, pineapple juice, hint of creamy malt. Taste- fruit juice, citrus, pine undertones, mango, malt backbone, hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is carbonated and a little thin, with an understated bitterness.
3.5 Bottle. Aroma is quite floral with hints of elderflower and a bit of citrus. Taste is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Quite a grassy flavour with some floral. Nice beer.
3.6 500ml bottle served in a pint glass. Pours a clear pale yellow color forming a medium, light and low persistent white head and some few soapy lacings left in the glass. Strong notes of sweet pale malts and grassy hops. Strong notes of Maris Otter malts. Bready and crispy. Somehow fruity and citrus with notes of grapefruit. Slightly sweet upfront. Followed by grassy, flowery and citrus hops. Moderate bitterness. Grapefruit citrus notes. Light body, average carbonation, grassy and crispy aftertaste. Good drinkability. Great ale.
3.5 50cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis Biltstraat, Utrecht. Body is slightly opalescent yellow, fizzy, head is medium, white, rocky, average lasting, good lacing. Nose is lemonade, flavor is citrus, honey, green tea, floral, lemonade. Medium sweet, light bitter, light citric sour. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bittersweet. Medium body, dry texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing, simple summer beer, nice one.
4.5 Aroma: Huge whiffs of mango, and kiwi, with a hint of straw. Appearance: Light straw colour. Big white head, that disappears quickly. Taste: A burst of tropical fruits, followed by a little hop kick. Palate: Sweet, with a bitter aftertaste. Light body. Light carbonation. Overall: WOW! One of the best beers I’ve ever drank. Fruity, hoppy, refreshing. The aromas are amazing! Plus, it gives you delicious pineapple burps! :-p
3.6 Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is fruity-hoppy, with mango and citrus fruit. Taste is clean citrus, some pines, some hints of fruit tartness, a bit grassy, and some lemongrass. The body is a bit biscuity. Thirst-quenching bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and clean, one of these beers that make you want to take another sip immediately. Not bad, a benchmark modern APA.
3.7 A light puppy golden ale that is easy to drink with nice citrus center and a fruity base.
3.8 Shared bottle. Pours is pale/ golden clear with medium persistent white head. Aroma is grassy. straw, lime. Taste is hoppy, moderate bitter, mild sweet, citrusy fresh notes. Medium body, light bitter finish.
3.4 Pale golden color with porous white foam head. The smell is hoppy. The taste is bitter hoppy, but has a surprising dry tart part, that comes quickly and stays as an aftertaste. This beer is a little special, yet keeps the character of the style. Very good indeed.
3.4 500ml Bottle from Bottle, Heaton Moor, Greater Manchester. Unappetisingly light yellow but with a surprisingly thick and lasting white head for a bottled beer. Aroma is light, grassy, leaves, flower and taste is lemon and mango sweetness with a hint of bitterness to the finish. Very good beer from a brewery that seems never to disappoint.
3.2 Yellow-pale golden, clear, medium strong white head. Aroma is of pale malt, floral grassy and citrus hops and some peppery notes. Taste is low to medium sweet malt, something peppery, herbal, lemongrass, bit citrus, low to medium bitterness. Dryish finish. Low to medium bodied and carbonation, thin.
3.3 .5l on tap @Bricks. Pours pale yellow with low head. Aroma is hops, malts, bread, citrus and dried fruits. Flavor is mostly same.
3.2 Bottle, 0.50l. Clear golden color with medium soapy white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma is mild fruity, herbal and almost non-existing. Taste starts with light sweet toasted malt, follows by refreshing fruity and grassy acidity, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Quite a disahoppointment...
