3.0 Bottle from Minimani, kokkola. Pours golden coloured with an small white head. Aroma has wheaty notes with yeast, caramel and some herbs. Flavour is wheat, bananas, yeast and some caramel.
3.5 Bottle at Miller & Carter, Harrow Weald. Hazy amber-orange with a white head and a light fizz. Decent full mouthfeel. Flavour is if banana and caramel, with hints of orange, bubblegum and cloves at times. Pretty well balanced, and unlike some beers in the style the banana isn't overdone. Yep, it's enjoyable, which trust me is high praise coming from someone who normally dislikes wheat beers!
2.7 Bottled 330ml (KSM Kampus) Dark orange colour, mostly vanishing white head. Sweetish riped banana in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Banana, some clove in the flavour. Basicly decent but same time lacks the finesse of German good hefeweissens. Now a bit in the supermarket level.
3.1 Banana and iron/coppery aroma. Only bit hazy golden color with no head. Taste much better than aroma, no iron, banana, cloves and spices. Medium body, average carbonation. //bottle at The Moon Under Water
2.7 I've tasted better wheat beers. Thornbridge is a good name especially for the Jaipur IPA but for me this wheat beer is unexceptional
3.0 Bottle. Hazy gold body. White head with no retention. Wheat, corn. Tangy, bitter, sour and alkaline. Dry finish. Moderate carbonation.
3.2 330 ml bottle, Lots Road. Pours murky amber body with white head. Aroma is yeast, banana, citrus and grass. Taste is yeast, citrus, banana.
4.1 A cloudy golden beer with a thin white head. Tastes of bannana with a fruity aroma
3.4 330ml bottle. Cloudy orange with a bubbly head that quickly disappeared. Banana aroma, flavour is yeast, toffee, cloves. Decent
3.2 Bottle from Morrisons 07/10/2018, Pours lively with a white head that disappears immediately leaving no slight head of lacing but lots of carbonation. Nice, slightly cloudy, appearance like an IPA. Smells like a wheat beer should, bananas and cloves right there, barnyard. Decent mouthfeel but lacks the flavour of a good established weissbier. Thornbridge should stick with what they're OKish at and that's making generic IPAs
3.0 [9/8/18] Draught at Beavertown Extravaganza 2018 in London. Day 2. Cloudy orange. Fruity esters, yeast, bread, sweet, a bit of phenolic spiciness, bitterish finish.
3.2 Color dorado, translúcido, con capa de espuma blanca de dos dedos de grosor y retención decente. Carbonatación alta. Textura acuosa y chispeante. Aroma a pan, cilantro, clavo. En boca hay pan, clavo, cilantro, ligera acidez. Final limpio.
3.0 Bottle from beer52. Light in colour, but slightly opaque. 3 finger head. Wheat, pine aroma with hints of bitterness.
3.1 Bottle at JDW in Surbiton. Cloudy appearance, banana, light spice, some orange, easy drinking. Decent.
3.0 Waited a while for it to arrive. The aroma is so inviting of dreamy banana, the taste however is well fermented sun dried bananas rather tart. Bit disappointed as thought it would be on the banana bread beer scale
3.6 Tried a bottle at The Malthouse JDW Willenhall. Pours a pale gold. Aroma of bananas but not the taste which threw me. Very sharp taste but not much aftertaste. It's ok.
3.4 Butelka 330ml. Złoty kolor. Piana mała, biała,nie zachwyca, opada szybko. Ciekawy słodki aromat bananów,landrynek lub gumy do żucia, delikatnych przypraw. Wysycenie średnie,słodycz raczej przytłacza. Banany , goździki, przyprawy i słodkie landrynki...w ciepły dzień wchodzi jednak znakomicie.
3.4 Aromat drozdzowo- bananowy. Wysokie wysycenie. W smaku rowniez Drozdze, skorka od chleba, przyprawy. orzezwiajace
3.1 Pours cloudy orange gold with off white head. Aroma of banana with some spice. Taste is abut sweet for me.
3.2 Bottle at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a cloudy deep golden to orange colour with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, clove, some wheat, slight orange peel and subtle bubblegum. Taste of banana, clove, some wheat, slight orange, a hint of bubblegum, biscuit and subtle vanilla. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A sweetish, bubblegum and fruit finish. Typical wheat beer flavours but much sweeter. Clean and easy drinking but not as good as Ible.
3.6 16th July 2018; 330ml bottle, BB 3rd May 2019. Drank in the General Sir Redvers Buller, Crediton Devon. Slight haze to the golden body, wispy head. Cloves and banana in the aroma and taste, vanilla traces. Fairly sweet overall, liked it.
3.3 330ml bottle at the Assembly Rooms, Epsom. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of banana and bubblegum with malt. Sweet taste and finish.
3.1 Appearance- Very hazy light golden colour with minimal white foam. Aromas- Sweet and fruity with dry banana peel, vanilla and clove notes as well as a light soft peaty touch. Palate- light/medium body with thin texture and high carbonation leaving sweet finish. Taste- Sweet of bananas, vanilla and yeast, with vanilla ice-cream and soda notes. Overall- Not too bad, but not perfect, in a way reminds of Hoegarden, bit plain I would say but drinkable.
3.1 Keg at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Sweet banoffee pie aroma, with sour hints. Pale opaque gold. Fluffy white head that looks like it could collapse on itself any second. Initial citrus intensity before sweetness come through. Banoffee, again. Cloves in the finish. Light for the style and on the thin side. Fizzy carbonation. Relatively abrupt finish, other than a sweet aftertaste and herbs burps. Pretty basic and not well balanced. Overdoes the sweetness.
3.6 Keg at the Salisbury Arms. A very much on style beer with a massive flavour of banana. I really enjoyed it and it woke up the taste buds mid-session. It was very rich and one pint was enough for me.
3.6 Aroma - soft notes of tart corn juice, wheat malt, banana, overripe yellow fruits, some fermented yellow fruits, yeasts. Taste - sweat and sourish, with lot of wheat malt, banana, yeasts, tart corn juice, overripe yellow fruits, a bit of bitterness well compound and balanced with a medium acidity. A common, pleasant, balanced and well done weizen.
3.2 Smell of banana, yeast. Clear amber colour, very high white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, malt, wheat. Very sweet. Moderately light body, flat carbon. Decent weizen from the fresher end of the spectrum.
3.2 Tap sampled at Highbury. Thanks Matsui-san! Big banana and clove driven nose that really jumps out of the glass. Palate is a little thin with a slightly watery texture. Some pear and fall fruit esters in there with more clove and banana bread notes. Easy drinking, but could be a little creamier I guess.
3.4 (Thornbridge Versa) At Thornbridge Den Bosch, one third of a pint. Orange coloured body, one finger of thick white head on top, average retention and good lacing left behind. Aroma of wheat, clove, ripe pears. Taste also of wheat and plenty of it, clove, banana, ripe pears, bubblegum. Medium thin body, with good carbonation. Quite good.
3.4 Bottle 0.5l sample at Samo Pivo Belgrade, Serbia. 20.07.2016. Small tasting with Ogi and Vlada. Pour it hazy yellow color with medium white head. Aroma of banana. Taste of cloves, wheat, banana, good Bavarian style of Hefeweizen, nice balanced, medium body, creamy, lively, long finish.
