4.2A nice smooth oatmeal stout. Slight chocolate notes with hint of grains leaves you wanting more.
3.1Poured into a snifter.
3.25 A: Clear deep brown color. Two fingers of dense frothy tan head. Retention is about average and just a hair width ring of lacing is left.
4.0 S: Great nose on this. Big oat component. Lactose notes like a milk stout. Roasted barley, milk chocolate, and layers of caramel.
3.5 T: Again lots of oats. Big roast with a char component. Less sweet than the nose with less chocolate. Caramel and molasses.
3.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Really lacking in the creaminess department.
3.25 D: Started strong, but didn’t impress in the taste. It’s okay, but there’s much better out there.

4.122 ounce bottle into signature teku glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy tan head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, dark bread, herbal, mint, pine, light citrus, light smoke/char/nuttiness, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and moderate earthy/piney hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, dark bread, herbal, mint, pine, light citrus, light smoke/char/nuttiness, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-medium herbal/pine and roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oats, dark bread, herbal, mint, pine, light citrus, light smoke/char/nuttiness, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and moderate earthy/piney hop flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast and hop bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial oatmeal stout style! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and moderate earthy/piney hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Definitely hoppy for the style; but not overdone, and still has a lot of great malt complexity. A very enjoyable offering.
3.7Dark beer with a foamy tan head that left lots of lacing on the glass. Roasted grain nose with a bit of fruit in it. Very soft mouth feel bordering on the creamy. Flavors of burnt caramel, dark roasted grains, some dark fruit and a long bitter grassy hop finish. Interesting oatmeal stout.
3.12015 bottle. Dark cola color, half finger off white head. Smells of light chocolate, some lactic, medicinal, plastic, bandaid. Taste is light as well, some chocolate, nothing too distinguishable, fudge, cocoa, black pepper. Light carbonation, light sweetness, strange for an oatmeal stout.
3.4Dark cola color, half finger off white head. Smells of light chocolate, some lactic, medicinal, plastic, bandaid. Taste is light as well, some chocolate, nothing too distinguishable, fudge, cocoa, black pepper. Light carbonation, light sweetness, strange for an oatmeal stout.
3.9From a bomber into snifter. Black with large light brown head, big roasted notes, some wood, oatmeal, a hint of spice maybe anise. Medium body, low carbonation, slightly sweet. Vanilla, chocolate finish. Very enjoyable.
3.7Bottle. Very solid oatmeal stout. Pretty simple in taste and aroma. Perfect for a chilly evening. Nice beer
3.5tap - Near black pour with a fast fading tan head, dark roast malt and chocolate aroma... the full flavor is big on the dark roast malt with mild chocolate and bitterness. It’s full bodied and good.
3.9Pours opaque sable with a good light tan head. Aroma features caramel, chocolate and roast malt tones. Sweetish flavor presents notes of chocolate, caramel, molasses, roast malt and nuts. Mouthfeel is not as fizzy or firm as other stouts I have tried, but it does please. Backmask for better flavor.
3.2Rated on 10-21-2015 (Draft at 800 Degrees Three Fires-Fort Wayne, IN) When served, the head is very small, tan and mostly diminished. It has an opaque body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is light roasted malt and light coffee. The flavor is lightly bitter, roasted malt and citrus hops. This beer’s mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. This is not the best beer of this style that I have rated and not one of the better beers from Three Floyds that I have rated. It is quaffable and hops come out in the end of the flavor.
3.7Pours black with a thick and sticky foam head that hugs my glass. The aroma is of dark malts, some roast, ash, and chocolate. Tasting, I picked up on roasted dark malts, smoked flavor, chocolate, mild oats, and a good bitterness. The body is full and the finish is rather good. Overall this a good beverage.
4.122 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a darker brown to black. No visible clarity. Khaki colored head that is velvety and has lengthy retention. The aroma has mild roasty notes, some ash, granola, and a bit of nut. The taste has low sweetness, medium bitterness, strong roast. Creamy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
3.3Bottle. Black. Roasted malt and chocolate with a thin feel. Not bad, but not great.
3.4Bottle. Black with tan head. Chocolate, oatmeal, soy sauce and roasted malt. Chewy mouthfeel. Decent.
2.8This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was dark malt. The smooth mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium mild roasted malt aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of roasted malt brown malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.
3.3bomber into a snifter. Pours a very dark black with some corresponding head. Decent but uninspiring aroma of cocoa. Mouthfeel is thin. I know this isn’t Dark Lord, but it’s really thin. Solid amount of carb. Flavors are very mild, cocoa, coffee, milk chocolate. Eh, OK but nothing special.
3.822oz bottle provided by brother at my wedding. Consumed on honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains. Glossy black pour with one finger of dark tan, medium bubble head. Aroma is heavily roasted with a background of creamy oatmeal. Tight carbonation and well blended flavors. Black licorice finish. Rich and flavorful for a oatmeal stout. Just hints of alcohol that may have been better hidden.
4.0Shared by someone Friday night, thanks for the opportunity!
Deep black color tan head. Rich sweet brown sugary roasty chocolate maltiness with just enough earthy hops to balance. great stout.
4.0Pours black with a thick long tan head. Aroma of sweet malt. Creamy mouth feel with sweet malt caramel with a finish of dry dark chocolate. Lingering cocoa on the tongue.

3.9Draft at FFF. Pours black with tan head. Chocolate, coffee and maybe mole. Good.
4.1Good oatmeal stout, strong chocolate/coffee with a bold alcohol presence for a 5.9%. Finishes dry and slightly bitter which distinguishes this beer from other in the style.
3.7Aroma is dark/roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and mildly nutty. The flavor is dark/roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, mildly vinous/fruit and a mix of slightly earthy and nutty/caramel/sweetness in the finish.
3.5Last bomber from tommys indy trip....this was good....nose was a tad bland....mouth made up for it...not too sweet not to dry...good beer....really like the floyds .
3.5Draft. Earthy peaty malt and sweet lactic chocolate aroma. Balck with a small tan head. Sweet lactic chocolate malt and coffee flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
3.3bottle poured into a snifter..dark with a fluffy off white head..aroma of coffee,roasted nuts,oatmeal..tastes like it smells..dry finish..just ok.
2.9@ Mikkeller & Friends, København 15-8-7: Ingen stor grej, men en len och mjuk ök med fin balans. Toner av kaffe, vanilj och choklad.
3.1Bomber to snifter, bottled on 6/16/15. Pours opaque with frothy, lasting deep-khaki head. Aroma of coffee, caramel malt, oats, hint of vanilla, mineral notes as well. Mouthfeel on the lighter side, a tad sticky linger; coffee, dark chocolate, and toastiness. Pretty ok.
4.2Look - Dark brown body. Thick tan head without aggressive pour. Bubbles very fine then expanded. Lacing.
Smell - Roast malt and chocolate. Coffee.
Taste - Follows the smell. Bitter finish.
Feel - Not overly carbonated. Creamy. Light to medium even as a stout. There is not overwhelming alcohol.
Overall - Slightly bitter stout with creamy feel. It is not bad, but not amazing.
3.3Pours a not quite black with a nice tan head and it’s nicely laced. Aroma of roasted malts and grain. Flavor is coffee with a hint of molasses. Very smooth and drinkable. I don’t remember where I bought it, but will keep an eye out for it. Wish it came in six packs.
