3.9 Tap @ mbcc 2018. Pours a bronze like colour beer with a smal head. Fruity and hoppy with notes of caramel. Dry finish.
4.5 This is the one of the best barleywines I've had
4.0 Tap@Three Floyds TTO, Warpigs, Copenhagen (14/04/2018) - dark amber coloured pour with an off white head. Medium sweet and toasted malty, some caramel and toffee sweetness, brown sugar, dried fruity notes, full to medium bodied, solid hoppy support, touch of spice into the sweet malty warming finish.
4.2 While in Chicago. Nose is very very boozy. Medium lasting head. Taste is Carmel sweet with balanced hop. Hop doesn't add flavor just the correct bitterness. Perfectly executed. Intense sweet full body mouthfeel.
3.9 Tap at brewery. Deep orange color with a thin white head. Orange oils, wheat, booze, resiny hops, dried cherries and light pine aromas. Medium sweetness cut by strong citrusey bitter taste. Heavier body with an oily feel.
3.5 Bottle shared at Kermis birthday tasting. Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with a white head. Triple IPA like. Very bitter, very sweet. Malty caramel, piney hops, slightly herbal.
3.5 Bottle shared at kermis' birthday. Bit hazy orange golden with off white head. Vanilla, sweet malts, caramel, sweet citrus hops, bitter herbs, alcohol, cardboard. Quite sweet and bitter. Full bodied. Yeah not my kind of beer but not bad.
4.1 Sampled at Chris' birthday share. Hazy amber pour with a thin beige head. Tons of hops in this beer, grapefruit, pine resin, caramel, aspirin. Extremely hoppy, super delicious.
4.0 From bottle at kermis’s b-day tasting at Kwartje. Clear amber with offwhite head. Big sweet orange peel, tea, biscuits, hops, malts. Big sweet and juicy. Like a tripple ipa with some age on it. Big sweet malty hoppy stuff.
4.1 From Mar 2008 I got this in a trade with joe1510. Thanks Joe! This one pours a clear(from first pour to last) deep amber/copper with about a 1" head of foam.(somewhat vigorous pour) Lots of nice sticky lacing to be had here. The smell is nice and powerful with notes of caramel, citrus, and pine. It *smells* balanced for the style. The taste is, again, nicely balanced with a bold caramel hop character that's offset by equally bold hops, but it's not overpowering in any way. Nice citrus up front, pine shows up about mid palate and shares finishing duty with the malt. Yummy. Not much alcohol apparent other than some slight warming after the swallow. The mouthfeel is medium full and it's pretty lightly carbonated. Wow. I really like this BWSA and it, to me, is *so* easy to drink that I know this bomber isn't going to last as long as it should. Oh well, maybe I can get my hands on some more. ;^) It's one of those brews that hits the spot, if you know what I mean. The aftertaste is very long lasting...the mix of pine and caramel just keeps on keeping on and that's a great way to end each sip. Another winner from Three Floyds. No doubt about it.
4.1 Tap @ Bodega: First time ever drinking a Three Floyds on tap! Murky appearance with an off-white head. Musty malts with prominent hops. Wet sourdough with a super bitter hop profile in the flavor. Thick body!
4.1 2015. Nose is sweet bread and grape. Taste is sweet and ballanced. Finishes slohhtly boozy. Would love to try fresh.
3.8 Pours a clear copper color. Very thin head that disappeared into nothing. Hoppy and malty at the same time aroma. Caramel, malty, a citrusy hop flavor.

4.8 An outstanding barleywine. Very powerful, very boozy, very sweet beer. Nice amount of hops that aren’t completely swallowed up by the malts. Tried with Al, Brian, Brandon, and Josh at Local Option in 2017 after ASEH.
4.2 Sampel butelki w Chmielarni. Białe owoce, drewno i wanilia. Smak słodki, lekko cukrowy, owocowe i wanilia jak w aromacie, w tle trochę taniczne. Smaczne.

3.5 Bottle shared with the KL tastiing group. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light, metallic hop, light fruit, alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.8 Draft at Bob’s Bar: deep nut-brown pour, beige head. aroma of hops, bready, dark fruit. tastes are sugary molasses, but not too sweet overall. caramel, herbal, toasted malts, brown sugar. background boozey. bittersweet finish. creamy palate and easy drinking for such a big brew.
3.4 22oz purple wax 2015 bomber thanks to sheepdog. Poured a caramel brown color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma/taste of caramel, peaches, rotted citrus, grass, and Amber maltiness.
4.1 On tap@: pours deep copper, slightly clear with foamy off-white head. Aroma-flavors: intense malts notes, which takes on toastedd toffee, caramel, supported with huge hop notes, which takes on citruses. There are also fruity esters....finish is slightly dry, bitter, body is full, texture is soft, carbonation is moderate.
4.3 (Three Floyds Behemoth) Bottle 650 ml at home, vintage 2012. Served into a snifter, ABV 10.5% according to the label. Deep red colour on the body, slightly hazy, small tan head on top, good density and average retention. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, figs, dates, alcohol, malts, some peach and apricot even, sugars, light orange marmalade. Taste is sweet as expected, the alcohol feels like it’smore than 10+%, dark fruits, sugars, marmalade, orange, faint pine on the finish, apricots. Medium thick body with soft carbonation. Really good barleywine.
3.6 0,65l bottle at home from a trade. Blue Wax (so I assume 2014). dark brown color, small off-white head. smells of sherry, caramel, nutty, marzipan, some hop notes, oranges, light alcohol. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes a bit old hops, caramel, spices, nutty, light sherry, light alcohol, some wood, bit peppery. finishes lightly sweet with some alcohol and notes of caramel, spices and some sherry notes. quite good one, maybe a bit too old / a bit too oxidized for me, but overall still nice stuff.
3.4 650ml bottle (white wax) @Brasserie 4:20. Pours copper with a little head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, orange peel, raisins, herbs, oxidation. Flavour is malty, medium sweet with a distinctive bitterness, a bit too "short" in the mouth, not so rounded. Medium body, a bit watery, soft carbonation. Not aged well.
4.4 Amber color with beige head. Aroma is really hoppy for a barleywine, earthy and resiny. Taste starts slightly malty but overall it’s really hoppy. Really fresh tasting barleywine.
4.3 Shared BOTTLE. Smooth milky caramel, vanilla and traces of fruity hops. Warming alcohol and smooth bitterness.
4.3 DLD taster. Big bold black beautiful, bountiful, beertastic, Barleywine. Another solid product from 3F...
4.0 Aromas of sweet malts, toasted sugars, melted caramel, sugar covered plums, tangerines, dates, toffee, deep amber malts, barley, wheat and intense pines and resin. Pours a darker copper with a apricot tint and thin foam and lace. Taste brings intense sweetness, sugars, deep fruits and crisp caramel upfront. Hops are immediately present afterwards with heavy bitterness, pines, resins, oils and tangerine notes. Finishes dry and hoppy with a noticeable booziness, Overall, very impressive. Well balanced between heavy barley wine malts and american style hops. A+ rating.
