2.9 Bomber to english pint. Hazy straw pour with a little head dissipating to a thin film. Nose is biscuity, bready, spicy, little banana. Flavor is bready with some spice, a bit of astringency. Nothing too special. Decent and drinkable.
3.7 Enjoyed in an Indians tulip/snifter August 12. Bottled June 24, 2015. Look - Bright yellow but hazy. Finger of white head. Medium bubbles. Lacing. Smell - Wheat. Grass. Light lemon. Taste - Wheat. Grass. Hoppy but not bitter. Feel - Carbonation bomb. Medium with a little cream. Overall - Good beer to share with a light beer friend.
3.7 Pours a slightly hazy straw golden with a decent eggshell head. Nice bready dough and vaguely dank hops. Somewhat sweet, somewhat bitter. Medium bodied, softer, almost creamy, with a mild bready doughy finish. I thought this was a pretty cool brew, understated sure, but the light pot note in there reminds you who’s brewing it. If they ever put in a canning line, this is the first one they should do.
3.4 Hazy straw/gold color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of pale malt, hay, floral hops, & some fruit; Flavor of slight sweet malt, yeast, hops, and citrus rind; Crisp finish; Pretty decent.
3.7 Lemon and straw aromas. Taste is very cracker and pepper heavy. Lemon rind and sweet corn in the finish.
3.4 22oz bottle pours a straw color without much of a head. Nice crisp flavors. Good maltiness.
3.0 Rated on 01-29-2013 (Bottle) This beer forms a medium semi-fizzy white head with a short retention, yellow transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is grain malt, crisp and earthy hops. The flavor is grainy malt, light hops and semi-sweet. The mouthfeel is smooth, watery and thin. This beer is light bodied. This beer lacks character and the flavor is rather boring and disappointing.
3.6 Draft - Light sweet citrus. Clear pale gold with a rich white frothy head. Light sweet citrus and some light sweet grains. Sweet and refreshing, lots do citrus and unlike any in this style. Still tasty though.
3.8 Aroma is pale malts, earthy and Kolsch yeast. The flavor is fruit, pale malts, grainy notes and a beery/slightly sweet finish.
2.6 A very regular beer that seemed lackluster compared to the other, bolder offerings. Smooth, crisp, clean, somewhat boring.
3.5 Pours a clear straw color with small white head. The aroma is wheat, straw, and grass. Taste followed the nose and also had some saltynotes in it. Nothing fancy here, but I didn’t mind it for a very light and refreshing beer on a warm day.
3.9 22 oz bottle poured into a weisse glass. Bottled 6/6/14. Clear straw yellow with three fingers of off-white head. Aromas of citrus, wheat. Tastes of citrus, sweet malt, wheat, yeast. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation. Pretty nice for the style.
2.9 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear yellow with small off white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is strong wheat, honey, and hay. Thin mouthfeel with sweet wheat, grass, honey, and light dry finish, decent.
2.7 Mild , reminds me of a lager/Wit. Creamy beer, low amounts of flavor. Not the best from FFF.
3.0 Bomber poured into a nonic. This beer is clear, bright amber in color with a thin white head that settles to a ring. Aroma includes pale malt, grass/hay, honey, and corn. Taste is moderately sweet cracker, biscuit, honey, and grass, initially. There is a lightly hop bitterness on the swallow. Light bodied, moderate but assertive carbonation, smooth barely thick texture, dry, crisp finish.
2.9 This one poured a light orange color with a white head. Aroma was of light triple c hops, caramel, and pale grain. Falvor was similar, not particulay kolsch like in hop or malt profile. Ok.
3.3 Pour is straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a bit on the malty side with some citrus/fruit. Taste is also malty but not cloying with notes of hay, bread, and light fruits. Light bodied, refreshing.
3.2 The beer is crystal clear and pale yellow with an inch or so of white head. The aroma brings grain, corn, bread, sourdough yeast. A touch of fruity sweetness along with biscuit / grain character. Light bodied with moderate carbonation, finishing dry. Overall, a decent example of the style.
2.9 bomber. clear yellow in color. drinking it in 20 degree weather so, the exact opposite day I should have drank this. looking for a low alchol beer and this is what i could find. tastes like a BMC.
4.1 Bottle @ home, courtesy of TheAlum. Adam knows my tastes well! Thanks! Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a lasting white head. Straw, pale grainy, herbal, lightly floral hoppy aroma. Fairly dry grainy malty, herbal, light lemon, grassy flavor. Crisp and dry. One of the best (if not the best) American renditions of a Kölsch that I’ve ever had. Like.
2.8 From bomber. Pours a light clear amber with no head. Mild clean aroma. Fruity flavor with a touch of tartness.
3.0 Hazy gold pour with a 2 finger, creamy white head. Aroma is bready yeast, toast, sharp, but light tree fruit, grassy and floral hops. Flavor is very bready up front with some apple skin and oily floral hops, a little toasty grain and light fruity citrus and floury grain to the finish. Light to medium body with a creamy to oily feel and light to medium strength, blanketing carbonation. Decent, but a little on the extra yeasty and dull side compared to other Kolsch I have tried.
3.5 22 ounce bottle. Thanks Al. Pours a somewhat cloudy straw gold with an average white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, and grass. Taste is yeast, malt, grass, and floral. Very nice and very easy to drink.
3.5 22oz bottle, if rated for style this would be sufficiently higher, i was shocked FFF didnt dry hop the crap out of this, instead the left it where a kolsch should be a nice easy drinking beer.. really quite tasty and clean finishing.. nothing wrong with it at all.
3.4 bottle thnx to dennoman pours clear blinde, small white head smells grainy, tastes grainy, some hops . ok but a bid light mouthfeel for me .
3.6 Bomber fresh from the brewpub, poured into spankin’ new FFF glass. Light to medium golden with small frothy, creamy white head, partially lasting. Aroma is crisp, light in character of fruitiness, straw, touch of grain, but good substance. Flavor matches; light fruitiness, light grain/breadiness, bit of honey. Light body but not thin. Crisp and refreshing. Sweet but not too much so. Finish is dry with light grassy bitterness. Tasty, extremely drinkable, great substance of a beer in this style.
3.5 sweet, yeasty, a little sour aroma. A little straw, grainy. Light and fruity. Tastes a little sweet yet sour, yeast, fruit
2.9 Pours a light gold with a rapidly vanishing soft head. Aroma is mostly yeasty sweet malt. Moderate carbonation with taste of bread, malts and grassy hops.
3.5 Bottle shared by Kingcecil. Pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is hops, malts and flowers. Great malty floral hoppy flavor. Hoppy and clean finish.
3.7 Bottle shared by AzBennett at Viking Metal 1.0. Pours a deep golden color with a white head. Aroma is crackers and some nice fruitiness. Staste is semi-sweet. Medium bodied with some light bitterness. Pretty good stuff.
