Three Floyds Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker

Three Floyds Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker

In the seemingly endless cruelty, battle, and strife of the Hyborian age, a warrior has but two pleasures:
Decimating one’s enemies in battle, and a horn of Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker to slake the thirst of victory.

3.9 Bottle. Colour...pale Amber with a thin head Nose...massively husky and musky with baked grapefruit and satsuma peels. Palate...dry, ultra hoppy and fairly boozy for a pale. The mid palate is quite cloying with dry notes and even some caramel. The finish is very long, and especially boozy.
3.7 It pours hazy orange with a white head. The aroma has dank heavy with pineapple and tangerine. It has a medium full body with gift carbonation. The taste has more dank aspect, rich malt and some citrus on the finish.
3.8 Bottle at the August THT, Den Haag. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is citrus fruit, big grassy hop. The flavour is strong bitter with a big fruity, peppermint, resin, nettle hop palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
3.8 Sampled at THT August. Bottle thanks to Maakun. Near clear golden with white head. Big fruity and resiny/oniony hops up front. Exotic fruit, big in your face hops. Marijuana and mango. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, oily feel soft carbo. Very nice sweet IPA.
3.6 Bottle shared at THT. Clear darker golden with white head. Massive hops on the nose! Some onion, lots of sweet malts with caramel and honey, lots of resinous hops, tropical fruits, light flowery. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Nice!

3.7 Revisiting this after years of experience. Originally, this was my favorite bottled brew from FFF (other than Gumballhead). Pours a murky ruby-gold with strongly retaining head. Smells like Alpha King’s big brother; huge densely ripe peach and nectarine paired with a viscous caramel malt, prickling pine lying atop it all. Apple and flowers hide timidly underneath. Flavor is introduced with pine resin and deep-diving mango, apricot, and peach. An elusive toasted caramel glides hauntingly beneath it all, alluding its massive presence only if you look for it. Medium-plus body, with a fairly dry peachy, slightly burnt caramel linger on the roof of the mouth. If you’ve ever have had Alpha King, here is his father. And Behemoth the matriarch. It seems FFF brews have a common lineage of royal righteousness within their recipes.
3.9 Tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, zesty citrus fruits coming up, sweet lemon. Slightly hazy gold, small, creamy, off-white head. Overripe tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, pine and resin, light, creamy, sweet malts, lively carbonation, full bodied. Very nice IIPA, intense, overripe tropical fruits in the aroma. Keg at brewery, Munster, IN.
3.6 Pours a pale orange with a white lacing. The aroma is orange, citrus and pineapple juice. The flavor is a strange mixture of sweet and bitter.
3.9 Pours a hazy orange with thin white head. Aroma is fruity with some weed and sour notes. Flavor is tangerine and dank with some tartness and peaches in the end. Finishes with grass and orange juice tartness. Pretty drinkable for the abc ( like most of them their ipas are ). Pretty yummy!

3.7 Bottle at the Local DC Tasting. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of malt, stone fruit, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Nice.
3.6 750ml bottle at the July DC tasting. Poured a clear copper color with a small, dense, foamy white head. Aroma was boozy malts. Sweet malts. Pine, citrus, light tropics on the hop character. Boozy finish.
3.4 Poured into a snifter showing amber honey with sparse white foam. The nose shows malt forwardness with hints of cannabis hops around the edges. The palate is thick bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of balanced malt and light cannabis hops. Strong IPA bitterness on the finish but well balanced by the heavy malts. Standard IIPA.
3.8 Nice stuff. Light citrus and good malt here. Amber pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Nice balance.
4.2 Bottle, with bottles on date of 6/27/16. Clear copper pour with long-lasting creamy head. I gotta say, these Floyds sure know how to get the appearance/head. Aroma surprises me - awesome explosion of tropical fruits, citrus, pine, grass fields. This Cimmerian has one huge sexy nose. Moderately sweet up front, followed up by a huge hop punch without much bitterness. Medium+ body with oily texture. Overall: fantastic. Easily my favorite hoppy FFF beer to date.
3.6 pale golden orange pour with a thin white soapy head and light sticky lacing. Aroma of mangos, oranges, juicy fruits, pineapple, resiny and piney hops .... Taste is of pineapple, mango, oranges, bitter and juicy fruits. Resiny, piney and dry hopped with a caramel malt backbone. bitter dry and tropical fruit finish.
4.0 Burnished golden color out of the bomber with a foamy egg shell head. Tropical fruit, sweet citrus and some pine notes in the nose. This is another big, juicy hop showcase for Three Floyds. Sticky, earthy dankness with candied grapefruit rind, mango, apricot jam and that hint of pine all covering up an impressive amount of alcohol. Definitely a hop head sipping beer.

3.8 Rated on 5-31-2016 at Dicky’s Wild Hare, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer’s appearance is a small beige head that is mostly lasting, hazy amber body, no carbonation observed, and a good amount of lacing adorns the glass. The aroma is citrus hops, some pine hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit, light spice, earthy, sweet, floral, bready, and caramel malt. The flavor presents moderate-heavy bitterness, citrus hops, spice, grapefruit, tropical fruit, light pine hops, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium-full bodied. A very quaffable beer with the ABV well hidden. It has a lingering mild aftertaste. The taste of this beer is well worth trying and it is a beer that I would partake in again.
4.5 Dirty, dirty litter box nose. That, and a big nug. Wonderful mouthfeel, silky and sticky. Hop resin, grapefruit, hay and mild strawberry. All of that, though, is completely covered by slutty dankness.
