3.8 22 oz bottle poured, with much thanks to Tcon for the share. Glad this barely survived the long trip back to the Pacific Northwest. A very tart Berliner here. Hazy golden pour with a thin, fading head. Sour preach and wheat aroma. Flavor is wheat forward, but an above average sour note throughout, making this more interesting to me than the usual example in the style. Slight apple. A unique Berliner. Something about this seperate out from the rest, but can’t quit identify it. Very nice imperial Berliner Weisse here
3.6 Pours a bright, cloudy orange with minimal head. It looks like orange juice without any pulp. I consider the aroma as standard for this style, which isn’t a bad thing. Tart, with wheat, banana, spice, and lemon. What isn’t usual though is the slight grassy presence and the pineapple that I notice. The taste is dry and acidic, mildly sweet, and with a tartness that is short and sharp. Dominating flavors of wheat and lemon, with a lingering lemon aftertaste. Light to medium in body, sticky in texture, soft in carbonation. This one is easy drinking for a hot summer day.
3.0 Sample at MBCC2017. Hazy yellow with white head. Light grain and lactic sour.
2.6 Draught at MBCC 2017. Medium high fluffy white head. Cloudy ellow body. Weak fruity aroma. Very sweet fruity honey flavor. Little hops bitterness, low carbonation, short finish.
3.3 Sample at MBCC 2017. Fruity and tart smell with a light chemical note. Similar taste. Very tart. Doesn’t feel like a berliner. Rough mouthfeel.
3.4 Sample at MBCC, 2017, Blue session. Poured a hazy straw colour with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is malt, citrus fruit. The flavour is light sweet with a yeasty, watery crisp acidic citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
3.8 0.75l bottle @ Mikkeller Bar shared with my girlfriend. A rapidly fading head on this. Didn’t quite catch the color of it before it went away, but the beer itself is crystal clear and really golden. At least at first. Smells nice. Sorrel, white currants, hay, grains, cornflakes and white wine. Honey also present on the nose, as is hints of something spicy. Nice. Tastes pretty nice also this. White currants and lots of brett here. Mild wood, lots of green sour unripe goodeberries and even a little peach. It’s surprisingly fruity this. Thin oily in the mouth and comfortably carbonated. Nice! 01.02.2015
3.4 EBF 2017. Pours a pretty clear golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose doesn’t feel much like a berliner weisse. Some fruits. Taste is really acidic but not quite puckering and pretty plain. Body is medium and carbonation low but we got served from a pitcher that sat for a while I think (keg kicked just before we got to the booth). Alright but certainly not one to write home about.
4.0 Tap at cbc16. Golden color with small white head. Aroma has sour notes and lots of tropical fruits, some earthy notes. Sour body, mango, fruits, some stable notes. Very nice sour.
3.5 from tap at EBF 2017, boston. unclear light gold pour with a small eggshell white cap offering some retention and lacing. stone fruits, yellow orchardness as well, sweet boozy pineapples though, light to medium acidity - puckering mix of acids; some phenolic esters, spices. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; unbalanced sweet and sour finish. nice yet it seems like a clumsy execution.
4.1 Bottle. Golden and rather clear with small head. Tart, light vinegar, and huge tropical fruits. Passion fruit, guava and lemon. Awesome flavor, really dug this one.
3.6 Bomber shared. Pours a clearish gold with 2 fingers of foam that linger. Citrusy tart nose. Grainy, crisp pear on the palate. Sweet and tart finish. Good fruit notes with nice tartness.
3.3 Poured from the bottle. Straw yellow color. Aroma is pale malt, with slight tartness. Taste is light cereal grain with lemon tartness. Bright and crisp.
3.0 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.0 Aroma - slightly sour, somewhat funky, and a little pear. Appearance - the body is clean and gold, like a ginger ale, with good nucleation. The head is almost non-existent. Taste - is slightly sour, tart, and tangy. There is also a little saltiness and some dry wheat. There is a slight white flesh fruit about it. Palate - body is light, the texture is slightly vinous, carbonation is lively, and the finish dry and tart.
3.9 Bomber from the brewery, shared at the MDBG tasting 4/4/16. Hazy golden, thin head, fair retention. Aroma of funk, lacto, bright lemon, pale malt. The taste is mango, tropical fruit, lime, pale malt lacto. Medium bodied, bright, well balanced.
3.8 Amber pour. Decent funky nose with a fruity mix and some yogurt and lemon. Flavor is lightly sour with more fruit, funk, and lemon. Lightly viscous mouthfeel. Lingering tart dryness.
3.6 22oz 2015 bomber that has been sitting in my closet or refrigerator for the better part of a year. Filtered tan body. Thin, patchy non-head. Deep cheesy lacto tones, thick. Really leans into the lactic sourness. Some funky wheat backdrop. Really quite tart for the style. Undeniable similarity between Icelandic Pants of the Dead and this. Sort of a lacto yeast bomb. Flavorful, but not exactly a balanced offering.
3.5 Draught @ CBC 2016, Blue session, København Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus and wheat. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and medium sour with a long dry, sour and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

3.5 Tap @CBC16. Clear golden, small white head. Grassy, slightly floral aroma. Sour flavour, sweet citrus. Dry and bitter finish.
3.7 Hazy yellow, with a saison ester profile with apples and spice. Taste is tart, and mildly horsey.
3.3 Sample @ CBC-16, Copenhagen 13/5-16. Fruity with citrus, also acidic. Fruity and acidic finish with citrus.
3.7 Tap @ CBC -16. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and lightly acidic. Notes of apricots. Taste is tart with loads of fruityness. Medium body and co2.
3.0 On tap at DLD2016. Pours a cloudy pale orange. White head. Green apple and lemon aroma. Way too sour of a Berliner but not awful.
3.4 One of the few Berliner Weisse’s I’ve tried that didn’t require some kind of flavor syrup to make it palatable. This actually tastes pretty good on its own. Pours a cloudy, hazy yellow with essentially no head. Lightly floral, grassy aroma. Flavor is very tart, with some fruit esters like you’d expect from a wheat beer, but still quite drinkable as is. That said, I would like to try some with essence of woodruff...
