3.4 Aroma - grainy malt, moderate hops - Saaz Appearance - hazy medium body with an average white fluff head - good lacing Taste - sweet malt and floral-grassy hops Palate - medium body, texture is almost oily, average carbonation, bitter finish.
3.3 On draft at Three Floyds after the Bourbon County debacle in Chicago. The pour is a crystal clear piss yellow color with a nice off white head and some spectacular lace as it falls down. The aroma has a surprisingly strong hint of lemon zest in it. There is a light pilsener going on, but it remains pretty zesty and lightly citrusy through the back end. The flavor is definitely that of a pilsener. Light and metallic with strong hints of corn and a light lemon zest. Basic and plain. The mouth feel is thin and light with minimal carbonation and a lingeringly strong and metallic finish. Meh.
3.9 On tap at Three Floyd?s with koleminer20. Aroma is sweet malt, earthy hops, corn, different. Appearance is straw yellow, white head. Taste is sweet malt, lots of it, with earthy hops, pretty good. Mouthfeel it?s crisp, medium body and crisp carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable pils.
3.3 Bottle. Pour is a hazy light gold with a sense head and aromas of grain dust, honey and light lemon notes. Flavor is kind of sweet and holds a decent lemon edge on the finish. Mouthfeel is kind of creamy and at times it seems to have a creamy flavor, but I’m not sure whether that is suggestion from the feel or whether it is really there. Odd for the style but decent.
3.5 Nice crisp and grassy pilsner. Glad to see three floyds can hold off on the hops every once and a while.
4.2 Fresh cut grass, white oak type coconut, pine. Lemon grass. Perfumy. Like opening a fresh box of Nikes. Vanilla rain forest car freshener. Skunky lemon malt signature taste for a Pils. Hops are so prevalent I could confuse the beer for another style. Fresh.
3.1 Bottle after the wedding, during the Wedding Weekend. Thanks Uncle J!m! Light and crispy, somewhat tangy. Not as what hoped for out of a Three Floyds brew. Nice on a hot day, but not too deep. 12.3
3.6 Poured a yellow gold in a snifter at Lizardville. White puffy head and solid lacing. Aroma is straw, cereal, some pine hops. Taste is cereal grains, wheat, clean malts, and small hop bite. Clean, crisp, bold flavor for the style. Good.
3.3 Pours murky straw yellow with w bib white head. Aroma of wheat yeast. Initial taste of wheat lager with a yeasty bread finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy
3.8 12oz...bright golden pour with faint hop nose. Spicy noble hops are very present in the taste. Crisp, clean, dry, and delicious. Yum.
3.5 12oz can from a 3floyds mix 12-pack: nice light lawnmower lager, lemon and grains evenly balanced. clean finish. **** July 21, 2015: On tap at the Crest in Clintonville: bright gold thin white white sheet. Aroma of hay, citrus, herbal. Tastes are light corn, cereal, grass, lemon. Thin palate. Light and easy. - 7.0
3.3 Draft at stone tap, hudson, WI. Virtually no aroma. Relatively sweet and less carbonated. Plentiful bubbles cascade up through a gold body. Some lace. Not bad. Refreshing.
3.7 Pours a light golden color with a white head. Aromas of, citrus, spruce and hops. Taste the same with pronounced hop finish. Nice clean lager.
2.7 Just not my style of brew but since it was 3F I said I’d try. Everything you expect in a pilesener. Pale malt, little bitterness, not my beer.
3.5 Pour on tap, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, grass, herbal notes into a bit of vanilla, hints of grain, slight orange peel into a bit of yeast. Taste was a mix of vanilla, earth, bread into a bit of grass, herbal, orange, slight lemon, finishing fairly bitter, slightly dry.
3.2 Slight floral aroma. When tasted very cold, it initially taste like a BMC lager, then creamy sweet cereal, then slight bitter hops. Very interesting. When the beer warms up, the lagerish taste fades some; leaving mostly sweet cereal grains and a mild bitter apricot finish.
3.8 A solid lager. I drank a Blatz yesterday and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference (I like Blatz though).
2.9 I tried it as it is three Floyd's. I don't like pilsner beers. So it is as expected to mild for me.
4.5 Des céréales miellées à la façon Franconie sont pris dans une embuscade de citronnelle et pamplemousse juteux. Toute une surprise.
4.3 Crispy hop aroma. Clean refreshing taste. Light and sessionable. Perfect for the style. Super easy to drink. Complex hop profile.
4.1 Pours golden with a hoppy aroma. Bitter hoppy taste. Cereal and hoppy aftertaste. Good beer.
4.1 Suprisingly hoppy lager. Nice, sweet malt bill. Very flavorful overall. Recommended.
2.3 Pours a cloudy gold with a thick off white head. Aroma is very malty, which most times would be good. Taste is bitter for a lager, which maybe is the point, but to me the taste is off. Yet another 3 Floyds beer I don’t like.
3.6 Pours with minimum head and a good taste off malt. Hops are lacking but overall taste is good.
3.5 Pours a clear pale yellow. White head. Aroma of crape skins and noble hops. I was expecting more "in your face" hops. Fairly clean tasting. Light medium body.
3.8 Golden Pils with a nice head on the pour. Nice lacing on the glass. Sweet malt and hoppy. A very flavorful pils and a very nice representation of the style. Tap
3.9 Pours clear light amber, small head. Aroma is strong noble hoppy with noticeable malt component. Taste is very malty for a lager. Like the overall package.
3.0 Bottle thanks to respertFTW. Clear gold with a light head. Sweet pils and hay. Heavy and sweet.
3.1 Tap: Bright golden body with only a moderate chill haze throughout. Soapy white head reduces to a collar quickly. Aroma of mineral water, fresh grains, some pale malt... Very mild. Taste is full of cereal grains, crisp pilsner malts, light yeast, a hint of metallic notes, & some mild earthiness from what would seem to be Noble hops. Slightly bready, yeasty finish. Sometimes I get a little DMS, other times, I don’t. Overall, a nice pilsner, just a little timid.
3.2 Bottle at home, june 30. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is crispy malty, floral, minerals, light fruity. Taste is medium sweet biscuit with a sharp, dry grassy mineral bitterness that lingers for a while. Medium bodied, average carbonation.
