Smooth and elegant, light body, creamy mouthfeel, light spicing from coriander and orange peel give a wonderfully malty/spicy sweet ale. Big alcohol lurking underneath a light and frothy exterior

3.6650ml bottle. Bottled 04/07/13. Pours a slightly chill gazed golden orange with a two finger, off white head that thins to a thick coating. Aromais slightly acidic with great notes of candy sugar, bubble gum, Belgian yeast, spice, and orange citrus. Taste is balanced. Coriander, citrus, slight bread, Belgian yeast, and a drawn out, slightly spicy ending. Medium busy with a high carbonation. Clean in the north with a near effervescent carbonation and a dry finish. Overall a nice beer the slight acidicness isn’t my bag but the rest of the flavours are spot on.
3.7Bomber from HankDaStank. Poured a cloudy brownish-cider yellow with a large tight frothy head. Aroma is floral, spicy, lemon, lime, white pepper. Medium to fuller bodied with aggressive carbonation and a lingering aftertaste. Flavor is the same as the aroma but a bit more fruity with lime and tangerine. Good stuff.
4.3Look - Thick, white head. Very thick bubbles. Light yellow/green color. Lacing sticks.
Smell - Sour with a hint of funk/dank. Wheat. Grass.
Taste - There is a lot going on. Wheat. Sour. Milky/creamy. Spicy in finish and after taste.
Feel - Wheat/Belgian beers are what pulled me away from the Coors Lights of the world. I am not a fan anymore, though, because of the carbonation/throat bubble you get from them. This DID NOT have that.
Overall - I bought it because it was Floyds. I will not buy it again BUT I do like it. I am not a fan of sour beers but this has just enough that keeps me intrigued.
2.5This is a uniquly blonde brew. Enjoyable but just too Belgium for me. Great looking brew.
4.0Bottle from Payless Liquor, Dirtysouthside, IN. Pours a hazy blonde with an inch of white head that retains well. Nose of sour roll-ups. Flavors get to sour apple, bubblegum, subtle spruce, and an indescribable spice. High carbonation and medium/full body. Very interesting take on this style!
2.1Wow I did not like this. The nose is too barnyard, the mouthfeel is too thin. The alcohol is too forward. There’s really nothing to latch on to.
3.7Bomber from Savor Growl (I think): Gold-amber pour with lively carbonation and white head. Nice aroma of herbal, pepper, clove, citrus, barnyard funk. Tastes are pepper, coriander, juicy citrus, wheat, yeasty, little banana. Dry spicy finish.
2.02 for 2. This is just awful. I am so disappointed in this shit. It is not good at all.
3.9Is there a style these guys can’t make? From bomber, pours a very hazy yellow with a one-finger white head. Arom and taste of barnyard funk and oranges. Medium mouthfeel and perfect carbonation. This is not too strong, and really, just about right for me. A delicious and delightful saison.
3.7Aroma is wheat, slight funk, tangerine, and grapefruit zest. Taste is of oranges, tangerines, grapefruit zest, and wheat. A tiny bit of clove, pepper, and light funk.
3.3Poured into a tulip glass. Hazy yellow-orange hue with a true white head. Aroma is all over the place with citrus, peach, grass, spice, yeasty funk. Taste is complex and full of flavors; Orange juice, fresh bread, spices, apricot and some lingering funkyness. A decent iteration of the style.
3.5Old skool American saison game massive clove, pepper, mild cracker, bubblegum on top of a medium body.
2.822oz. bottle. Sweet, spicy aroma, floral and herbal with notes of honey, chamomile and bubblegum. Lightly hazy golden in color with a sparse, fine head. Flavor profile is strongly sweet, floral, herbal and lightly spicy, more honey and chamomile, some dried herb and powdered sugar, just very sweet overall. Some fine carbonation on the palate, a bit thin, body is medium. Just okay, not really my style.
3.1Look: pours a dark orange. White head very cloudy.
Smell: fruit. Orange lemons. Bananas.
Taste: bread. Orange. Banana.
Feel: high carbonation. Nice dryness.
Overall: ok beer. Needs more of a summer timeframe.
First drank: home 12/24/14
3.722 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Thanks to my friend Daniel for the trade. Bottled 4/7/2014. Big head with over four fingers worth. Nice clear golden yellow body. Aromas of barnyard funk, citrus fruit and peel, herbs and spices. Tastes of barnyard funk, citrus fruit and peel, earthy notes, herbs, spices. Medium body with a dry and spiced finish. Medium carbonation.
3.5Pours hazy orange with a low head. Aromas of caramel, honey, peach, apricot and orange. Taste is caramel, orange apricot and quite a bit of honey. Mouthfeel is smooth with low carbonation. A bit too sweet for a saison.
3.6Pours hazy golden yellow with low white head. Aroma of honey, chardonnay barrels, green grapes, citrus. Taste is sweet, fruit, wheat, light pepper. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation.
3.1Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Medium high creamy lasting off-white head. Hazy orange body. Sweet peach pear aroma. Sweet peach mango straw caramel flavor with a pepper herbal note High carbonation. Long dry sweet flavor.
4.1A fantastic saison. 3 Floyd’s can do very little wrong. Aromas of sour funk, citrus, bubblegum. Flavors are bubblegum, coriander, orange peel. Some sourness too. So well balanced. Awesome stuff.
3.0Draught @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours slightly hazy golden with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is phenolic with crackers, pears, green apples, dry soil, hay and lemon zest. Taste is very sweet and phenolic with crackers, powdered sugar, hay, dry soil, pears and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and phenolic with crackers, pears, marzipan, hay, dry soil and lemon zest. Too sweet...
4.0Pours a nice bright hazy yellow color with white head. Light fruits, wheat, spice, a hint of citrus, and some yeast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice yeasty note.
3.3Bottle. Pours a clear straw color. Aroma is banana, band-aid, grapefruit, grain, straw, white grape. Taste is creamy and spicy banana, booze. Decent.
3.7Aroma is Belgian yeast, spices and citrus. The flavor is spices, citrus, malts, slight heat and a tangy/slightly bitter finish. More traditional than I was expecting, pretty good but not great.
4.5Very tasty and refreshing. This is the first Three Floyd beer I ever tasted straight from the the tap at the brew pub after it opened. Bought a case at Dark Lord Day and left very happy. Great summer beer.-- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10
3.7Has a smooth malty flavor, some coriander, hop aroma is there. Very drinkable.
3.1@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear light amber with a rim head and a wide band of lace. Taste is malt with some citrus and coriander, but more bitter than would be encountered in Hoegaarden. Hops enter in the palate, moving in-and-out of "focus." An interesting brew, but not so enjoyable for me.
3.265cl, no mention of ABV, American brew, thx to Tyler!, complex brew, spicy/floral and slightly fruity/woody/sweet, not balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice Easter brew
3.4Bottle from Binnys southloop. Poured slight hazy orange with white head. Aroma full of fruit mainly bananas. Med light carb med bod. Floral dry banana ester taste.
3.1Bomber thanks to Chris. Light gold with a white head. Barnyard funk and some spicy fruit.
3.4Pours a medium gold with a touch of haze and three fingers of tight bubbled white foam. Nose is earthy yeast, white pepper, musty straw and a hint of banana and some bubblegum sweetness. The palate is round and pretty doughy with a full mouthfeel. Flavors match the nose nicely with balance of rustic grain, yeast esters and some light belgian style spice. Rides the line between wit and saison with a subtle lack of carbonation that keeps it heavier on the palate for my preference.
