Three Heads The Kind IPA

Three Heads The Kind IPA

Voraciously hoppy and not overly bitter. The Kind brings enormous aroma and maximum flavor. It’s like taking a walk through a pine forest and ending up at a citrus farm. This beer brings joy to the world, one sip at a time.

3.7 Bomber via beer world. Muted, translucent amber body. Initially the head grew like a mutated Japanese monster. It finally settled down leaving large iceberg like blobs of foam floating in the glass threatening to destroy any ship that came to close. Nose is sweet hops covered in malts and stuff....with things. Body is surprisingly hoppy but as the label states....not to overpowering.... Wow, honesty in advertising for once! Another quality beer from New York.... Whoo hoo!
3.1 650ml bottle in Las Vegas. Hazy amber brown, good head. Toffee hop aroma. Resin hop malt flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. More like an Imperial IPA.
3.6 gold - light amber color; crisp, light, citrusy aroma; citrus hops on a bery light malt base; a light, crisp, and bitter beer
3.1 Clean and light flowery hop aroma with a low but balanced bitterness. Sadly, it has some soapy undertones.
3.9 Clear golden pour. Outstanding head volume and retention, world class lacing. Nice nose of tropical hops (grapefruit, orange, mango) with a touch of pine over a light biscuit. Barely light medium bodied with a smooth texture. Well carbonated with effervescence from the middle on. The flavor profile is intense (hop flavor), a bit complex and reasonably balanced for a hop forward IPA. It begins with a burst of hop flavor, with pine in the forefront and the tropicals underneath. As it flows towards the middle, tropicals assume the forefront then yield to a nice herbal dankness. A mild grapefruit rind bitterness constitutes the middle over a subtle biscuit sweetness. The finish is a slow fade of grapefruit rind with a dank note.
3.6 Cloudy gold pour. Aroma is grapefruit, pine and citrus. Taste is bitter grapefruit, pine, orange and citrus. Good smooth silky feel. Overall decent.
3.1 Bottle gift from SJ. Some nice notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine and caramel malt. I’m starting to notice a trend with this company with their brews being a bit thin. Not bad overall, but needs some work.
3.4 Very minimal head. Easy pour with refined presence. Slightly citrus hops but wish it had more hops.
3.2 Pours a clear golden than clouds up once it strikes the glass. Light grapefruit, pine, and resin strike my buds. Not real bitter at all and my tongue was begging for more hops. Very light finish and easy drinking. Need to follow this up with more IBUs. Decent at best.
3.6 Poured a nice ear golden color with string hop aroma. Taste was grapefruit hops with a nice smooth finish.
3.3 Pours a clear golden yellow. Aroma is citrus fruits, pine, and some Belgian yeast. Taste is some light grapefruit, pine, and a little of that yeast, which I found odd. Maybe it was just my taste being off? Not a bad beer.
3.6 Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Smell is pine, citrus, and resin. Taste is hoppy but balanced by malt. Notes of resin and citrus. Smooth mouth feel. Medium body and medium carbonation.
3.6 Pour out of 22 oz bottle, very hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, yeast, some slight white fruit into orange, touch of grapefruit, nice grassy notes as well. Taste was a mix of grass, orange, grapefruit, some bready, yeasty notes into some spicy, earthy notes, finishing bitter, dry. Nicely made.
3.6 I bought this at a Wegman’s grocery store when visiting a friend in Rochester. I poured it into a goblet at home. Overall, this is a pretty good IPA. It’s not great. It poured mostly clear with a nice head. In terms of aroma, one is struck by the grassy hops and this carries over to the taste. This is a balanced beer. While the IBUs are 76, it doesn’t taste as bitter as I expected. That said, the sweetness is on the light side. It has medium body and a bitter finish. This is worth trying if you are in Rochester (the brewer is out of the greater Rochester area).
3.9 bottle @ Habersham Beverage / Savannah GA --- Clear medium amber with a 3" white head that slowly drops to a thick cover, mottled curtain of lace. Taste is caramel malt that moves through the palate, adding a strong burst of pine hops that recede quickly, leavin g semi-sweet citrus in a long finish. Fantastic brew with great balance, and complexity. Not at all overwhelming, but a really solid tasty brew.
2.8 Average IPA at best. Seemed "watered down". Bought a 4 pack. Looks like the other 3 will be lawn mower beer.
3.5 has nice tropical aroma, and a very impressive lasting head. golden. taste is malt and muted with good carb. palate is easy with light hop bitterness. Overall an average IPA.
3.8 (backlog) RBSG ’11 GT Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Skunky, pine, grassy hop flavors, very fresh and hop forward,
3.5 First beer I had from this brewery was The Too Kind DIPA and quickly followed it up with this one....and it was excellent!
3.7 Pours a cool hazed gold on tap with thin white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is resinous citrus and pine hops with hints of sweet caramalt. Taste follows, more of the pine than citrus, bittersweet finish. Light carbonation, easy to drink, well done.
3.2 OK IPA, on tap at Macgregor Amherst. Citrus flavour, creamy mouthfeel. Cloudy medium yellow body. OK drinkability.
3.6 Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Hazy gold with white head. Hoppy citrus and lychee aroma, bitter, crisp with a little citrus juice taste. Medium body, long, hoppy, bitter finish.
3.5 Hazy pale golden with lacy rimming white head; slightly hoppy aroma; Flava is tangy hoppy; feels light but silky; finishes very dry hoppy bitter;
3.8 On tap at Alternative Brews in Buffalo, NY. Very pleasantly surprised with this one. Poured a light golden yellow, white head. Heavy on the citrus, lots of orange and grapefruit. Bright and cheery and tasty.
3.5 Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Pours an hazy yellow with a bubbly head, aroma of carambola, prickly, melon, flavor is bitter with grapefruits, low sweetness, medium bodied.
3.4 Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Clear yellow. Hoppy aroma of overripe tropical fruits. Dry-ish flavor with fruity hops and nice strong bitterness. Medium-bodied.
3.4 Albany, Ga. - Warehouse Package Store - 12 oz bottle. Slightly murky, yet sparkling at the same time medium golden with a very thin off-white head. Aroma has some nice spruce accents, some perfume. Flavor has a nice solid bitterness to it with some requisite grapefruit notes. a touch of apricot sweetness, a touch of maple syrup stickiness. Mouthfeel has a decent thickness to it. Quite solid.
3.3 On draft in Rochester. Pours clear bright orange. No head. Nose is dank, hops. Flavor is nutty, malty, very light citrus. Bitter finish. Not great.
3.1 Bottle to glass. Pours a clear copper color, little head. Aroma is piney with slight citrus notes and bready / caramel malt backbone. Taste is piney hops, honey sweetness from malts with medium bitterness. Palate is lightly carbonated, light body. Bitterness fades fast. Ok.
3.6 Bottle from Lazy Dog. Pours a beautiful transparent gold with a ring of off white head. Aroma of citrus with a malty undercurrent stowaway. Taste is mild at first, with more citrus and floral, but the bitterness lingers after.
