Timmermans Oude Kriek

Timmermans Oude Kriek

The flavour of Timmermans Oude Kriek, refermented in the bottle, is without comparison. The cherries from which it derives its taste and colour it features traditionally come from Schaerbeek. Slightly acidic and with a wonderful bouquet, this natural and hence unpredictable brew requires careful handling throughout its long maturation period. Created from a blend of old and young lambic, Timmermans Oude Kriek keeps for 12 years. Like Timmermans Oude Gueuze, this is a precious drink, available in a limited edition only !

3.6 Taken while preparing supper, a nice cherry sour, not seeing the lambic too much, worth the try.
4.0 375ml bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Brewed in 2014 and bottled in 2017. Pours red-brown, practically deprived of foam. Not really attractive-looking. Aroma is acetic and cherries. Body is average, like carbonation. Astringency is really strong. Taste is intensely sour, with a marvelous astringent feeling, "torturing" your palate for a pretty long period. Overall, fantastic!
3.4 Aroma; big bowl of fermented fruits n berries with drops of acid. Look; pink ring head on mahogany body. Taste; sour cherries, hay, hops, vanilla, nut oil, coriander, almonds, cinnamon, marzipan, bhutane, acids of berries, n finishes juicy fruit. Feel; nice body n co². Overall; it`s tasty. 3.9 Musty cherry, malt, and dry hay aroma. Hazy ruby red with minimal head. Minimally sweet cherry malt, moderately sour vinegar and citric acid, and mildly bitter dry hay flavor. Nice body and balance. Pretty tart.
3.1 Rami Rami is drinking a Timmermans Oude Kriek (2017) by Brewery John Martin & Brewery Timmermans at Powiśle Nie ruszyla refermentacja, plaski. Mega kwasny. Kapke octowy.
3.2 Aroma: tart cherry, funky notes, some lemon zest Appearance: dark ruby color without a head. Much suspicion is noted. Taste: tart cherry, funky notes, some lemon zest, medium-high sweetness, medium-high sourness, little bitterness Palate: medium body, little carbonation, so flat, mild astringency, sour sweet palate Overall: Its carbonation is way too low for a lambic and makes me wonder if there's any defect. Its low carbonation left the sourness and sweetness unbalanced and considerably lower its drinkability. Not a good lambic from Timmermans.
3.4 Mocno kwaśne, skórzane, lekkie bretty owocowe, trochę białego wina, pikantne
2.5 Backlog, bottle that pours hazy red with a pinkish white head. Carbonation was medium to strong. Notes are cherry candy, cough drops, cherry cough syrup, and lemon acid vinegar. Another rough beer from Timmermans. I'll stick to Cantillon and 3 Font
3.4 Clear mahogany-red with a few floaties despite being long settled and chilled. Dissipating head. Cherry stem and pit in nose, polished oak, amaretto note. Quite sour, sharp lemon-citric and sour cherry. Brett/lambic traits are relatively mute. Simple and sharp compared to others but still a treat.
3.9 Piwo czerwone, klarowne, piana szybko znika. W aromacie wiśnie plus skórzany pasek, lekka stajnia i odrobina drewna. W smaku mocno kwaśne. W zasadzie ta kwasność przykrywa wszystko. Po chwili wyczuwalna skóra i obora. Wiśnie czuć w posmaku. Pojawia się też subtelny ocet.Dziwnie piecze w język. Wysycenie dość wysokie, alkohol niewyczuwalny. Dla fanów "kwachów" jak najbardziej ok.
3.5 Corked bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, brewed 2014, bottled 2017, 6.7%, bb 12/2032 Beautiful ruby colour, bright, clean. Moderate aroma of cherries, not much lambic aroma. Bone dry, with sharp acidity, very lemony, and indeed astringent, with mild cherry flavour, but I'm not getting much lambic character. Aggressive cherry Sour.
3.6 Botella @Timmermans (John Martin) Itterbeek 04/05/19 Coloro rojizo, espuma blanca escasa, aromas cereza, acidez moderada, cuerpo medio.
4.0 Bottle, 750 ml, courtesy of kajser27. Shared with him, Max and Miro B. Hazy dark red, off white head. Citric, sour cherries, acidic, some funk, sweetish, smooth. Medium bodied.
4.0 Deep red. Cloudy. Small head. Aroma: sour cherry, light barnyard, a hint of lemon acid. Light body. Lively carbonation. Taste: bonedry, highly sour. That sourness is pure, refined, and refreshing. Nice cherry, citrus sourness, light wild yeast. This is a proper acid bomb!
3.8 Bottle. Dark red-brownish color, pinkish foam. Aroma: sour, vinegar, sour cherry, wildly. Taste: cherry, dried sour cherry, a little vinegar, decently sour, not bad.
2.9 Bottle @Bir&Fud Bottega (Rome). Rossicca, limpida, schiuma bianca media. In bocca è acidada decisa e acetica, pungente, spigolosa. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Sgraziatissima.
3.7 75 cl. bottle. A hazy dark red coloured beer with a small pink head. Aroma and flavour cherries, vinegar, acidic, barnyard and with a tart finish.
3.6 Bottle. Has a slightly hazy dark red colour with a small pink head. Aroma of vinegar, cherries, oak and earth. A pretty sour flavour of vinegar, citric acid, oak and some cherries and berry candy. Has a slick mouth feel and medium body. A pretty sour lambic and the cherries are more faint than expected.
4.3 33cl bottle from 2013. Extreme sour and fruity beginning. Deep fresh sour cherries, intense sourness, horse blanket, smooth sour, deep intense sour in the end. Lots of great fresh cherries, sour and deep fruity. Long and intense aftertaste. Fascinating fruity and intense sour.
3.4 Pour at dorst. A clouded deep purple plummy red coloured pour with no head. Aroma is sweet cherry, cough syrup, plum, sticky sweet. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, cherry flacour, plum, red berries, sugary. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, spixy finish.. Milf pucker in the finish.
4.7 Limited edition, brewed 2010, bottled 2013. From ottle at café 't Oud Postje, Molenhof, Oestwleteren, Belgium, Pours light hazy bright rubby red liquid, white lacings, Aroma: nice sour cherry notes, sour wild, lemony, clean, vinegar, Taste: light sweet, no bitter, most sour beer I ever had, vinegar, lemon juice, spur wild, sour cherries, light sweet fruity notes, Palate: light body, soft to flat carbonation, slick extremely sour mouthfeel, long vinegar lemon cherry aftertaste, Overall: extrremely sour, extremely good. Could be more funky and brett. Enjoyed very well.
3.5 Czerwone, z różową, szybko znikającą pianą. Delikatny aromat skóry, winogron i wiśni. W smaku zbalansowane, ale bardziej w stronę słodyczy.
4.3 75cl bottle at home, 2015 limited ed. Pours a deep dark red, slightly brown, creamy light pink head. Rich fruity, earthy cherry notes, nice barrel character, high acidity, vinous Flemish red tones, tard. Nicely lingering aftertaste. Firm body, medium carbonation.
3.7 Bottle at bar. Clear reddish brown, no head. Cherries, champagne. Strong sour, light sweet. Good stuff
Piwo do bólu wytrawne.
3.6 Piana syczy jak z coli i znika, kolor brudna czerwień z pływającymi farfoclami. Aromat wiśnie, kwaskowe, minimalnie dzikie nuty, przyjemny.
