Timmermans Tradition Faro Lambic

Timmermans Tradition Faro Lambic

Faro is produced by adding candy sugar to the lambic. Faro was very famous
in the 19th century in the Brussels region. With it´s sweet and refreshing
taste it is still appriciated in our moderntimes.
This delicate beer was created two centuries ago by the van Houtryve

2.5 Dark golden with a white head - Malt aroma - Malt body with a sweet note - The malt goes into the finish - This was ok
1.7 Fles thuis geprobeerd, helaas.
3.3 0,25 litre bottle from old cellar collection. (As.1997 vintage) Golden with little head. Sweetness, fruity, oxidation.
4.0 This is a very nice lambic. The addition of candy sugar helps. I'm no fan of bland lambic. This however works well if a Little too sweet. Apples in the taste. Low abv. Easy drinking.
3.2 Dark golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma has tart vinegar and a little wood. This is suppressed in the taste where the sugar kicks in. Still a light tartness to it though.
3.4 Bottle at L’Imaige Nostre-Dame in Brussels. Clear amber. Whitish head. Sweet. Medium bodied. Fruity and caramel aroma with a little funk. Tastes good, but too sweet.
3.1 Rami Rami is drinking a Timmermans Faro Lambic (2019) by Brewery John Martin & Brewery Timmermans at Al. A w smaku przeslodzone ice tea gruszkowe. No bardziej ciekawostka i czekinek niz ze smakiem wypite niestety :( 3.13 ;)
3.6 Bottle at a tasting. Very clean funk, very clesn overall. Very tasty, moderate sourness mixing with moderate sweetness. Clean caramel. Tasty, good one.

3.2 Bottle at Slovak tasting 10/2019. Pours golden color, no head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, bit sourish. Taste is sweet, bit sourish, lemon, toffee.
3.5 Aroma: orange candy, wood, mild funky note Appearance: mildly hazy amber color with a one-finger beige head Taste: orange candy, wood, mild funky note, medium-high sweetness, low sourness, low complementary bitterness Palate: medium body, medium-low carbonation, sweet finish with some dryness, mild astringency Overall: Nice drinkability and sweet but not cloying taste make it a good option for a snack break. Delicious sweet orange candy.
2.0 Bottle from Indian joint Ingo tasting 2019-08-31 Göteborg AR: sweet sugary,, tinned mixed fruits AP: amber, wee white head F: wee bubbly carbonation, sugar bomb, fruit syrup
2.7 Backlog, pours a golden color with a smaller head that fades into a ring. Notes are caramel, candy apple, brown sugar, and sweet funk. Cloying and not my thing at all.
3.4 Barwa bursztynowa, piwo krystalicznie klarowne.
3.6 A 375ml corked and caged bottle with a best before date of 26th September 2019. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass. It was a clear copper amber colour with a two finger white head that had decent retention, eventually dissipating to a thin layer over the top while leaving some sparse lacing. Aromas dusty and musty gives way to some sweet-ish candi sugar, apple, pear and dried fruits. Tastes sweet yet not overly so like in so many Faro’s. The slight sourness on the finish balances the sweetness and makes it easy on the palate. Plum, apple skin, brown sugar with a very light funk. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall I didn’t really enjoy the aroma, but luckily the taste was much more to my liking. It wasn’t overly sweet like so many Faro’s I’ve tried. I enjoyed it.
3.3 375ml served in a tulip glass. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with some particles floating around forming a small light and aired white head with low retention and practically no lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is sweet and fruity. Strong notes of sweet pale malts, honey, dry apricots and grassy and flowery hops. Taste is also sweet and fruity. Again, strong notes of sweet pale malts, caramel, honey, dry apricots, plums and candi sugar. Slightly but very slightly sour notes. Light body. Low carbonation. Sweet dry fruits in the aftertaste. My second Faro. Too sweet beer, That's enough.
3.3 Appearance: Cage and cork. Medium brown, red hue. Clear and fizzy. Small, off-white head. Aroma: Sweet, apples, honey? Very faint funkiness. Taste: Sweet, some light caramel. Apples, quite a bit. Very low tartness, hence I quite like it. Bought: Trade with tderoeck - thanks!, 375 ml Info: 23/12-2018, BB: 15/6-2019
3.3 375 ml corked bottle, bb 15/06/19. Moderate pop at opening. Amber-brownish, clear body, with a small, beige head. Aroma of cheesy funk, candy sugar, wood, leather, dried fruits. Tastes quite sticky-sweet, of candy sugar, syrup, sweet dried fruits, moderate funk, some wood, some leather. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes sweet, sugary, wooden, a bit cheesy, a bit leathery, with sweet fruits. Good. The nose is nice, although sweet, quite diverse, also with nice funk and wood notes. The taste is too sweet though, with the sugar almost completely covering everything else. Still quite fresh to drink. Score: 7 / 4 / 6 / 3 / 13
3.1 375ml bottle. Pours amber colour. Sweet, caramelly, slightly acidic aroma. Sweet, sour, bit caramelly taste. Brown sugar, sweetness and slight sourness in the aftertaste. Light bodied, one sided, quite sweet brew..
2.8 375ml bottle. Pours clear amber, beige head. Aroma is soursweet, fruity, cherry marmalade. Taste is soursweet, very sugary, syrupy, candy sugar. Medium body, average carbonation. Very sweet, like coca-cola. Too much sweetness.
2.4 10-08-18 // 375ml bottle from Getränke Stumpf. clear darker golden with a rosé touch. No head. Ripe sweet juicy nose. Aroma of ripe sweet apples, raw apple juice, kandis sweet. Mild acidity, ciderlike. Low fizzy carbonation.
4.0 (cidre, nez yeast (& wild), pomme (ad !), bois jeune wet, > ronde-fresh, > apple (why ?), E300, last acide-sec, good-but)
3.1 Bottle. Color: Dark orange golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Bit stale sweet and sour. Taste: Over medium sweet, white sugar, hints of honey, combined with moderate to light sour lemon-like notes. Medium body, under average carbonation. Very sweet, even for a Faro.
2.3 clear golden with a white head. aroma of malts, apples, lambic, sweet. Taste.... wow....this...is ..sweet... looks like they trew an entire package of 1Kg sugar in my glass, the acidity of the lambic is pushed way back, all i can taste is sugar and a little lambic. nah. not great.
4.2 Bottle from Redmond's of Dennistoun. Vibrant soft bubbles leading into white wine grape sweetness. Immensely drinkable.
3.3 Piana niewielka znika. Kolor mętne złoto. Aromat kwaskowy winny z nutami dzikimi, owoce typu brzoskwinie, przyjemnie.
3.3 Tap. Light amber, clear. Small head. Aroma: brett yeast, fruit, sugar. Similar taste. Light body. Fairly drinkable.
