Tiny Rebel Stay Puft

Tiny Rebel Stay Puft

This marshmallow porter has the classic roasty qualities of a proper dark ale, whilst the marshmallow gives it a smooth sweetness, both combining for a delightful, S’mores-like ale. A sweet treat for the cold winter nights.

Our first brew of this luxurious dark ale sold out in just 36 hours!

3.3 Can. It pours black with a creamy beige head. Lots of marshmallow sugary notes. Vanilla and light roast. Light coffee and milk chocolate. Too much marshmallow for me.
3.7 330ml can from Mitchells Wines Meadowhead - Opaque black, tan head. Nose is a sweet milky coffee, bit of chocolate. Marshmallow sweetness at the front, smoky and roasty coffee beans with a little bitterness on the way out. Very nice indeed.
4.0 33 cl. can at home. High creamy lasting brown head. Black body. Sweet and smooth cocoa coffee aroma with marshmellows. Sweet and quaffable cocoa dominated flavor with coffee and marshellows. Little hops bitterness, low carbonation, long sweet finish. Very well balanced with an alcohol level that is nicely disguised.
3.5 Tinny from Dexter & Jones. Pours very dark and tan head. Scent is very sweet ‘mallow, taste is nicely bitter with afters of mallow sweetness.
3.5 Backlog January 2019. Dark brown, almost black body under a small brown head. Strong aroma, dark malt, vanilla and toothpaste. Taste is sweet with dark malt, chocolate cake and confectionery chocolate. Taste feels a bit artificial at the chocolate/pastry part. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Not bad, but I don’t have enough sweet tooth to handle all the chocolate/cake/pastry flavors. This ends up a bit like a novelty beer for me.
1.1 Fake. Why?
2.2 can from hopt. Deep brown colour, mid-sized beige head. Sweet nose of vanilla, slightly chemical. Very light-bodied, roasted malts, artificial-like vanilla flavours, not very pleasant at all.
3.5 330ml can. Pours black, small tanned head, some retention. Aroma is sweet, toasted marshmallows, vanilla, coffee, chocolate. Taste is sweet toasted marshmallows, slightly artificial in sweetness, vanilla, coffee beans, roast, moderate bitterness throughout, quite smooth. I like it but would prefer some more chocolate malts in the middle flavour to enhance the moorishness otherwise sweetness is the main focus. Not sure I could manage anything more than 33cl of this in one sitting.
2.7 Dec 2020. The day we delivered presents to Phocea's friends. Small can from the Beer52 advent calendar. I'm not a fan of this toy stouts - candy sweet nonsense. Like candy cigarettes. This has got sweet vanilla ice-cream flavour. It's childish. It's OK. A bit of fun if this were the only one, but every "craft" brewery wants to jump on the candy wagon. I'm not appalled by it. But its not great beer. Its something to give to those who don't like beer, as a gimmick. [2.7]
3.7 So much promise from the bouquet not delivered on the palate. Incredible marshmallow and sweet malt aroma, but the flavour is thin, sweet yez, but not as flavoursome as it could be. A hint of hazelnut maybe? Short finish.
3.8 Liquide noir avec mousse très courte. Nez marshmallow, café vanille. En bouche, c'est une attaque très ronde café bientôt enrobée du côté marshmallow avec une longueur assez surprenante. Très bel exercice !!!
3.7 can at home marshmallow smoars aftertaste which is a great taste, Smells like coffee and chocolate, pours very dark, and tastes as described happy would recomend if you want a darker beer with a weird sweetness to it
4.4 Toffee and liquorice on the nose, aftertaste of vanilla, smashed it and wanted more
3.6 Very smooth around the edges. Creamy, clean, round full flavor. Restrained but clearly there. Online saveur bier
3.7 33cl can from BeerHawk, enjoyed in a shaker on 17-May-2020. Dark brown with a medium sized beige coloured head. Aroma of marshmallow, toffee and vanilla. Medium body with soft carbonation. Taste reminisent of burnt toffee apple - cocao, caramel and heavy on the vanilla. Moderately bitter with a rich sweet finish.
3.8 Particulier mais intéressant et pas (trop) écoeurant
4.2 33 cl can (BBD 2020-04-02), bought from The Forest, Dorridge (B93 8JA), drunk at home 2020-03-31. Appearance is an opaque deep brown with a moderate thickness but extremely dense light brown head that dissipates at a moderate pace. Tiniest amount of visible carbonation (I think - difficult to tell!). Looks lovely - gorgeous colour on the head. Aroma is unusual but so nice. Up front, there's a huge hit of vanilla and marshmallow, which is almost reminiscent of artificial raspberry. Below that, there's a core of milk chocolate and the barest hint of burnt wood. Bold, unusual, lovely. Taste is also great, if slightly more conventional. There's toasty notes up front with dark chocolate, which move through to some more of the vanilla towards the end with marshmallow the ending flavour, alongside a peppery bitterness. Palate is good - medium bodied, a little juicier than a typical porter, but still some creaminess. Lots of carbonation in the mouth and a moderate length finish. Overall, this is a superb beer. Every element is good, some are great, and it all works together so well. In a perfect world, the head would linger longer and there'd be a slightly longer finish, but I really don't care.
3.9 (October 2019) Near black with a short-lived, off-white foamy head, sweet vanilla on the nose and a roasted malt taste backbone with hints of sweetness, assumed from the marshmallow - very nice porter which doesn't disappoint
4.7 Delicious. Tastes like a very marshmallow flavored porter, which is a lovely taste, to be frank. Smells like coffee, pours very dark, and tastes as described.
3.8 Aroma is vanilla and coconut, chocolate cream. Smooth and luxurious. Sweet, satisfying and easy to drink. Bitterness on the finish is well balanced with the sweet and fragrant flavours.
3.8 Can: Poured a soda color into glass, the. Seemed dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, sugar, graham cracker. Taste is sweet chocolate, vanilla, coconut flakes, biscuit, malty, very balanced for the sweet forward.
3.6 Sweet porter, very dark in colour, sweet confectionary taste and would certainly buy again.
3.6 Black with a tan head, marshmallow, coconut and vanilla aroma, medium body, smooth, vanilla, marshmallow, some dark roast malt, creamy, slightly sweet
3.8 Dark with a small tan head. Very sweet aroma, heavy in vanilla and some hazelnut. Quite thick and a little oily. Lingering vanilla aftertaste. Very enjoyable.
2.6 [33cl can from Beer52] A cola brown coloured pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of chocolate syrup; sweet malt base with a vegetal bitterness followed by coconut. Very strange.
3.3 33 cl Can. Dark porter, aroma of marshmallow, vanilla and liquirice. Taste of roasted malt, smoke, citrus and marshmallow, lacks some sweetnes and intense bitternes. Taste a bit like “koldskål”..
3.8 Aroma : Roasty chocolate malt, sweet marshmallows toasted on an open fire, mereset hint of vanilla. Taste : As aroma. Thicker body than a usual porter; approaching a stout. Surprisingly less sweet than nose suggets but still more sweet than bitter. An excellent brew!
