3.3 Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys London as Titanic Captain Smith’s Strong Ale, 5.2%. Dark amber, translucent and still with a small beige head. Aroma is bready, grains, crackers. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is bready and resinous, astringent carpet and some honey sweetness, building bitterness and a lasting musty linger. A nice bitter if a bit uninspiring.
3.9 Plummy and quite thick beer. Stoney fruits. Caramel coffee flavours. Sweetness at start becomes bitter. Nice amber appearance and excellent strength with and bite on the palate.
3.3 Cask. Aroma is richly fruity plum caramel. Pours chestnut with foamy white top. Strong initial lacing diminishing. Taste is also stoned fruit with toffee malt but the sweetness is superficial and it has a bitter finish on the palate. Then again this may just be a barrel end.

3.6 On cask at the White Cross. Appearance - deep amber to red with a decent head. Nose - toffee generally. Taste - toffee intermingled with some sharp red fruit and some booze. Palate - mediumbodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - I’m not sure what this was fully intended to be but it is a very interesting and complex beer.
