4.0 Black with big brown head. Aroma of sweet malts with roast, chocolate and licorice. Taste has lots of coffee, licorice combined with load of hops. Average carbonation. Overall well balanced and tasteful porter
4.0 W aromacie dość subtelnie. Kawa czekolada lekko przypieczona skórka od chleba. Gdzieś w tle orzechy. Piana super zbita dość długo się utrzymuje fajnie oblepia szkło. Smaku dość klasycznie, wytrawnie, kawa z czekoladą, chociaż Kawa chyba bardziej wyraźna. Goryczka umiarkowana. Wysycenie średniowysokie. Bardzo przyjemne lekko się pije alkohol niewyczuwalny. Bardzo dobry balans.
3.9 Beautiful long lasting beige head. Sweet, intensive aroma of vanilla, milk chocolate, dried plums, caramel. Hops play main role in taste. Starts with chocolate, vanilla and ends with sharp, grapefruit bitter. Low carbonation, medium body. Tasty one.
3.8 Bottleshare, Bitter Phew, Sydney. Pours a jet black with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malt, brown sugar, dark chocolate, mild coffee, cocoa notes. Taste: roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, toasted grain flavours. Smooth and well balanced. Had this quite late in a session, so need to try it again to get a better appreciation for it.
4.1 500ml can from the LCBO. Pours an opaque deep brown colour with 2 finger of lasting beige head. Aromas of roasted malts and some coffee. Hoppy taste with a roasted malt finish and some smokey notes. Unique taste for sure. Spicy and dry on the finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
3.9 Bottle. Really dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is mocha and roasted grains. Taste is dark roasted grins and mocha.
4.5 Can. Pours black with tons brown head. Deep coffee aroma. Nice malt character with coffee tones super amazing beer
4.6 Can. Pours very dark, very dark ran head. Aromas of chocolate and heavy coffee. Very nice flavours of initial chocolate, developing into roasted malt, finishing on coffee and mild chocolate. Fucking awesome beer
4.7 (antique, > floral-feuillu, ~fumé, μ-savon, crémeuse (oat), > originale, > amer-fleuri, > astringent, racé-puissant, fruit noir)
4.0 Mostly earth and cocoa aroma. Chocolate, light iron. Black color with huge brown head. Chocolate, heavy cocoa, earthy, some raspberry in taste. Medium body, soft carbonation. //bottle from Pivoljub
4.2 Bottiglia 33 cL @Petrarca (LO). Schiuma color crema, densa, irregolare a grana molto larga. Ottimo effetto "cascata". Birra color nero intenso, impenetrabile.
4.3 0.33 l bottle from Reykjavik, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Roasty, slightly smokey malts and spicy hops in the beginning. Dark chocolate. Dried fruits. Nutty. Smokey, dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, soft texture. Almost perfect.
4.4 Cerveza color negro. Corona de espuma de buena retención de burbujas compactas color café oscuro. Aroma a maltas tostadas, ahumado, café, chocolate amargo, frutos secos.
4.7 330ml bottle. Pours a deep black with foamy brown head. Delicious chocolate and coffee nose. Medium body with rich malts, dark chocolate, and subtle hints of coffee. Slightly light body but huge palate. Incredible.
3.9 Bottle from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Black pour with a creamy tan head. Aromas of gravy browning, coffee, licorice toffee, caramel. Flavours of licorice, light smoke, coffee, cocoa. Pleasant underlying bitterness. Smoky, malty finish. Very good.
3.4 His porter poured a deep black colour with a thick, creamy, dark brown head. Beautiful lacing. Scents include cocoa, coffee, Melloid cough drops and roasted caramel. First swig was very bold with initial flavours of sweet black coffee and ending with a mixture of licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is medium sweet and burnt with a thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel.
4.1 Bottle, pours black with nice tan head, good lacing, weakish aroma with coffee & hops coming through, nice creamy carbonation, tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, liquorice, coffee, slightly resinous, nice medium bitter finish, delicious
3.5 500ml can 8.0% ABV Best Before: July 4, 2018 Main/Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada) April 15, 2018 $4.95 The beer pours a solid black colour with a foamy brown head which takes a couple of minutes to recede into a thin lacing on top which lasts a while. The aroma is roasted malt, some licorice, and some dark chocolate notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly creamy, and highly carbonated for a porter. The flavour is dominated by roasted malt flavours, some smoky flavour, and a slightly sour aftertaste of weak rubber. For a beer that has describes itself as having lots of American hops, I am not noticing them all that much.
4.0 Tallboy from LCBO. Pours a big frothy brownish head that sticks around fairly long, has a deep black coloured appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, resin, subtle dry fruits. Flavours are sweet, malty, some chocolate and coffee notes as well soy. A little bit of a smokey like finish. Hints of caramel and herbs. Slick and slightly oily mouthfeel. Also smooth and sweet. Goes down extremely well. Quite refreshing and flavorful. Good stuff!
4.0 Can from the LCBO. Black pour, with a huge brown head. Aroma is loaded with chocolate, coffee, some light smoke, and some soy. Velvet mouth feel, soft, and luscious carb. Very round chocolate notes, lots of strong roasty notes, and a medium bitterness with more smoke, and soy in the end.
3.8 My first To Ol, happy to finally try one, part of the LCBO 2017 Fall Beer Program, a good Imperial porter/stout.
3.5 Aroma: citrus, bitter/hoppy smells. Appearance: A clear black porter with minimal head, Taste: This beer has a medium-to-heavy bitterness: Too much for a porter. (Tastes too much like the current crop of North American microbrews: everyone doing an "ipa"... hop soup.) Palate: Astringent start, with a full body, with a creamy texture. A softish carbonation, with a long, bitter aftertaste.
3.7 Tap @ BRUS. Pours Black with small beige head. Coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, raisins, a bit peat.  Soft carbonation and full body.
4.7 A pitch black color with a tan head. Its purty. The aroma is a bit smoky but not overwhelming with some dark chocolate, espresso, and licorice. The flavor is somewhat bitter and smoky. Not smoky like a rauchbier but its there. The flavor contains some dark chocolate, espresso, raisins, licorice. The aftertaste is a bit bitter but hints of some sweetness like molasses in there.. Little alcohol can be detected in this. Overall wow is this really good!
4.2 330ml bottle. Pours black with a big tan head that lasts. Chocolate, ash, toast, sweet cherry, orange peel, touch of pine, little booze in the finish. Reasonably big body. Outstanding.
3.9 0,33 l bottle. Pours almost black with big frothy lasting tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, cocoa, caramel, some dried fruit, smoke and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, licorice, molasses and smoke. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Body is full, texture thick and carbonation average. Finish is long, lasting bitter coffee.
