To Øl First Frontier IPA

To Øl First Frontier IPA

English: The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol.

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær.

3.6 Dit is toch absoluut “the right thing”. Weer een klasse bier van to ol. Jammer dat ze zo duur zijn.
3.2 Bevuta il 28/07/2018 @FolkBeerShop in Borgomanero (NO). Bottiglia da 33cl. Colore Arancio-ambrato. Abbondante schiuma bianca pannosa e persistente. Carbonazione bassa. Finale molto secco.
3.6 Bottle at the parents. From Jumbo. Near clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, sweet grain, caramel, light spicy yeast, citrus fruity. Medium sweet and quite bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
3.0 Bottle@Konttori, Tampere, Finland. Strong, fruity DIPA with smooth mango. Narrow taste spectrum. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, refreshingly bitter but a bit simple. 5 4 5 3 1
3.6 33 cl bottle served in snifter. Poured hazy amber with two finger slightly off white head. Aroma: freshly cut grass, orange peel, grapefruit, citrus, caramel, vanilla, mango. Taste: bitter grassy hops, grapefruit, orange, peach, vanilla, caramel, black pepper, mango, citrus, pineapple. Medium body with bitter fruity sweet finish. Not bad...
3.7 Hay yellow color with creamy medium white head. Citrus aromas, like orange peel, and some herbs notes. Taste follows the same line, with a increasing bitterness towards the finish and aftertaste, where it really stands out. Another win for the danish brewers!
3.9 330ml can served in a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange to beige color forming a big soapy and creamy off white head with medium retention and tons of lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is citric and flowery. Strong notes of orange zest and flowery grassy hops. Notes of caramel malts and pine. Hints of passion fruit and melon. Slightly sweet upfront taste. Strong notes of grapefruit and orange zest followed by caramel malts and bitter grassy and citrus hops. Good medium persistence bitterness. Notes of resin, passion fruit, melon and pine. Medium body, medium carbonation. Grapefruit and pine in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Strong American IPA character. Great IPA
4.3 Can. Pours dark golden, very little head but good, strong, carbonation. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango and papaya, with some Fresh grass. Very nice, close to the punk. Taste of pale malt, resin and apricot. Very good one.
3.8 Home. 33 cl bottle. BB 03/01/20. A good off-white foam layer on a clear golden beer. Later somewhat cloudiness in the bottle. Somewhat light malty. A fruity/fresh hop aroma of light grapefruit grape and tropical. Taste is not to sweet, light malty. It has a creamy full body of the CO2. Nice fruity of somewhat grapefruit, peach, tropical and melon. Good balance. Nice taste.
3.6 Draught @ KCBD18. Pours hazy mver with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit and malt, with notes of citrus. Bitter, hoppy and grassy flavour with citric and estery notes. Bitter and malty aftertaste with estery notes. Decent.
3.0 BB 26/10/2018. Can. A bit overcarbonated. Clear almost straw-like color. Huge head. Strawberry esters, a bit of old hops? Watery, average, but good bitterness.
3.7 33cl can. Murky orange with a medium beige head, good retention. Lots of citrus, orange, grapefruit on the nose. Taste is light sweet citrus, orange and grapefruit, peach, very resinous, some caramel, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good, at least better than the out of date bottle I had. 330ml bottle (BB 29/03/18). Pours murky orange with a huge beige head, good retention. Aroma of citrus fruits, orange, sweet malts, caramel. Taste is becoming a bit of a malt bomb but there's still some orange, citrus, pine, but quite prominent caramel and sweet malts, bitter citric finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Ok, but obviously age is an issue here being a couple of weeks out of date, and knowing what how long To Øl like to date these beers this was probably well over a year old.
3.5 Keg at Brewdog Seven Dials, London. A hazy orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, pine. Quite bitter but still a well made IPA.
3.2 14/20 bitter and slightly muted taste but I liked it for its full body and zest
4.2 Houblons : warrior, simcoe, centennial.
3.6 On tap. Quite hazy orange color with off-white head. Quite resiny on the nose with some classic hops and orange peel. Taste follows with bitter, resiny hops and bittersweet orange peel. Medium body and carbonation. A classic, well made IPA.
3.6 Cloudy gold, great head. Aroma: citrous and sprouce. Medium body, medium sweetness. Classic aipa, fruity, medium to high bitterness, unfortunatelly long and floral. Appears lighter than 7% abv
3.4 V 100 pivach capovane. Vona medovo citrusova. Farba do zlta. Chut vyrazne medova, ale zaujimavo medova. Prijatelna a pijatelna.
3.7 Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, peachy tropical citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter, light sweet with a fresh, crisp, tart dry citrus fruit, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
4.4 Crisp and clean West Coast IPA. Hop flavour driven and a nice break from drinking my home brewed stout today. Good beer to finish the weekend off with a Shepherd's Pie in the oven and Strawberry cheesecake for desert, this is how Sundays should be.
3.5 Can from Mikkeller Bottle Shop. Hazy orange with pure white head. Hops, unspecific and grassy and pine. Very bitter with earthy and pine wth some floral. If there is citrus here it's so overwhelming I'm not feeling it. Slightly sticky. Took a bit of adjustment but it grew on me.
4.4 Buona. Schiuma spessa persistente bianco sporco. Frizzante spiccato. Banana, mango. Palato molto molto liscia. Finale estremamente secco. Dry hopping tanto pesante quanto buono. Alcol coperto bene non benissimo.
3.9 Can at strait and Narrow, Lincoln. Slight hazy golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma and taste has triple cal fruit light sweet to mid bitter. Full body.
3.7 Dry and light, very aromatic but pretty light in flavour. 330ml can from Bacchanalia
